Today reminds us of the right of Every Child as enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

It speaks about the right to good quality education, good parenting, and protection from harm.

Major future, and the necessary sacrifices, and building blocks by parents, guardians, teachers, leaders, and Government to secure our greatest assets on earth, the Younger Ones.*

We share the great joy that children bring into the family and the fulfillment of seeing them become responsible in society.

NYCN Ikwuano Chapter appreciates all the support we have received from the government in realizing some of the targets, like the school feeding program, and resuscitation of the primary health care system, through agencies in charge.

Major values of integrity, honesty, hard work, and love for learning should not be negotiated. Our children should know, and stay with the ancient landmarks of what is true, and right at home, and abroad.

We still believe our children hold the keys to a brighter future for this Nation.

The apex Igbo socio-political organization, South East Young Leaders Consultative Forum Worldwide, has hailed Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the Completion of New Abia State Government House, Umuahia, and Other Giant projects scattered all over the state ready for commissioning on Saturday.

Gov Ikpeazu promised to complete the New Government House in the state and led the state peacefully for 8 years in office.

SEYLCF praised the governor for his courage, assertiveness, vision, commitment, and determination to take Abia State to the next level.

While commending Gov Okezie Ikpeazu, the Secretary General of SEYLCF,Ms Odor Augustina ,described the projects as lasting legacy in the state that will be remembered in the anals of history.

In a statement yesterday in Umuahia during an interactive moment with CDS News,Ms Odor Augustina described Governor Ikpeazu as a great blessing to the South East.

She urged the Abia State chapter of SEYLCF to come out en mass and join the Governor to commission the Brand New Government House because he fulfilled the promise he made to Abians that his administration will complete and commission the project before the expiration of his tenure.

Hon.Ginger Onwusibe Says they have filed a notice of Appeal.

After serial denial over the Judgement of Justice M N Yunusa of the Federal High Court Kano, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency and lawmaker elect for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency Hon Ginger Onwusibe and 84 other lawmakers elect and members of the Labour Party has filed a motion on notice asking the Federal High Court for a stay of execution order on the judgment sacking them from office.

CDA News reports had a few days ago the notice of Appeal was filed by the embattled Abia State Governor-elect Dr Alex Otti where he prayed to the Appeal Court to set aside his removal by the Federal High Court.

Hon Ginger Onwusibe Rt Hon Darlington Nwokocha, Hon Munachim Alozie, Mr. Ibe Okwara, Mr. Amobi Ogah, Sir Obi Aguocha, Mr Emeka Nnamani among others in the motion on notice filed at the Federal High Court Kano said they had also filed notice of Appeal at the Kano State Division of the Court of Appeal.

Justice M N Yunusa has ruled that the selection process leading to the emergence of labor party members elect and its only Governor-elect, Alex Otti did not comply with the requirements stipulated in the 2022 electoral act.

The Court maintained in paragraph 5 of its Judgement that Labour Party’s failure to submit its membership register to INEC at least 30 days before their primaries rendered the votes cast for them useless.

Up till this moment, their prayers have not been granted by the Court.

*Group Caution Abia NLC to Support Government on Smooth Transitions – CSEYLF*

The Consultative South East Youth Leaders Forum has cautioned the Abia State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to support the government to have a smooth transition.

Reacting after an emergency meeting of the CSEYLF group, Secretary General, Odor Augustina said Abia State remains the most peaceful state in South East, and out of 84 months, the Government has paid salaries for 82 months to its workers only remaining 2 months and also did a mass promotion to support the workers.

NLC Abia State Chapter should not be politicized but should assist in giving a smooth transition for both the outgoing and incoming administrations.

She also calls on the banks to comply with the court vacation order and help the state government to meet up with the plight of the workers.

The group frowned on the action of the NLC Abia State Chapter based on shutting down the government office for selfish interest to sabotage the outgoing administration.

We lament about the strike action which has crippled a lot of activities in the state and has painted badly on the outgoing administration before the people of Abia state.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed the immediate commencement of payment of the outstanding salaries to put smiles on the faces of Abia Workers.

Major challenges of building pathways to sustainable development and increase of women’s participation in politics cannot be tackled effectively without gender equality.

The United Nations includes the fight against inequality and injustice in its post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Miss Augustina Odor in her speech said Equality among men and women is more than a matter of social justice because if there is an adequate number of women participating in politics it will help in sustaining and building a good democracy in the country.

Gender Equity is a fundamental human rights issue that should be given great concern to tackle the bad political menace of Nigeria.

In her remarks, Miss Augustina Odor says women can make good economics if the present incoming administration will appoint a credible number of them to support the government.

When women have equal access to education and political appointment they will participate fully in the business of the day, politics, and decision-making to bring effectiveness and make the government efficient to serve the people better.

Women a key force against poverty and bad governance.

Women with equal rights are better educated, healthier, and have greater access to land, jobs, and financial resources.

Their increased earning power and increase in political participation in turn bring sustainable development to the country.

All. the women who have been appointed to work in most administration are the key to the success of the country example. Dr.Mrs. Okonjo Iweala, Professor Miss Akunyili.

Their support in building the nation in their field of work remains outstanding.
