My sincere gratitude to ceejay08 the OP of the thread. Thanks bro, this handsome gentleman took it upon himself to set up my mini inverter in my house. I called him up, pleaded with him to help me source for the needed equipments i.e UPS, chargers etc because I was trapped at home for some reasons and I needed power supply. Mr ceejay agreed, gave me a thorough breakdown of cost, I transferred money into his account without ever seeing him. And he delivered! No story, No excuse. Am enjoying ur set up bro. There are good guys indeed on nairaland.! Mind you he never charged me for his services but I tried to compensate him for his time and stress. try him, u ll be shocked what a gentleman he is

Don't buy it, the AV converter is not 3k , the AV converter is more than 3k, they will push u to buy the monitor and after payment u will discover that the AV converter is about 7k-10k, Let them bring it and test it before u pay for both the monitor and the converter at same time, go to computer village or alaba international, u will get a led or lcd monitor with AV input

They still rip us dry from prepaid ,imagine paying 750naira for free to nepa every month as fixed charge weda u have light or not, a man paid 12k credit on nepa which should last him 10-12month, after 12months his nepa credit finish ,I dey queue for nepa dat day to buy my own prepaid credit, they told him that he was owing 750naira fixed charge multiply by 11 months and that he can recharge his card until he pays that money finish

Make u dey get pity for person some times, u are now trying to tell me that 2tb hdd is cheap in the market and I am selling it expensive here, seriously, my 2tb hdd with contents should be 40k now but I just want to give it to people at an affordable price, the contents alone inside my 2tb hdd is about 1.7TB , even if 2tb hdd is sold for 5k ,the contents alone is worth more than 50 pieces of 2TB hdd. Let's do this maths: if mtn give u 5gb data bundle for 1k which we know mtn won't try it, 200TB worth of download will be 40k and I am selling my 2TB hdd and 1.7TB worth of data for just 30k, na money I dey spend to buy data, no be kulikuli

a 40AH battery would serve you for 3.5 hours . . . and that's calculating for your TV alone
i have not calculated for the DVD, decoder , light bulb or any other mini appliance u might wish to run . . .
and also, i have not calculated for energy loss due to heat and internal resistance of the wires . .
by d time i add all dat, maybe it would last for just 1hr and some mins . . truely !!!
a LED TV is more efficient . . as mine uses just 39Watts

Or better still he should go for 15-21inch lcd or led monitor, it will work with ur decorder, I have a 160 watts lcd TV but I needed more watch time, so I went to computer village and bought a 34watts, 15inch
lcd monitor with AV input for 5k . An lcd/led monitor with AV input is ok, u just need to connect the video(yellow) and the audio (red and white) cable, AV lcd monitors are cheaper because dem no get digital/analog TV tunner and u can use it with decorders or dvd players

it depends on how long u want to watch ur TV

Correct me if I'm wrong but the smart charger charges the additional battery but while in use you can disconnect the smart charger and use the empty ups to charge the battery. Thus at no point are the two power plugs connected to electricity at the same time?
Will have to order that smart charger from Lagos, couldnt find it anywhere in the east

Both my ups and smart charger are plugged in at the same time to electricity, ur ups is also smart, it stops charging as soon as ur battery hits 100% charge like makavele said, the ups charges only 1amp/hr , always leave ur ups plugged to ur electricity wall ,when ever u have light ,the ups will be on nepa mode, it switches to battery mode when ever nepa take ur light, so when ever u have light u are not using the battery but nepa,
So u must plug both ups and smart charger to electricity.
Don't worry,it won't overcharge ur battery,both ups and smart charger are smart
