Nnamdipapa: You think everyone has the same experience in Nigeria right?
You can live a heaven-on-earth experience in Nigeria if you know how and have the resources.
Do not ever think everyone has exactly same experience in Nigeria. That would be a misnomer.
Without Nigeria, no one will know the likes of; Davido, Tiwa Savage, Tems and the lists go on.
You people have a very low opinion of Nigeria and given the options, I will chose to live in Nigeria over the US. It's the experience of the vast majority that counts. Even in War - ridden Sudan, some elites are balling. |

Angelfrost: Sigh... What exactly is a priest doing with a gun?!!
Even in war-ravaged and cartel-controlled nations, you won't see priests or padres armed, not even the ones who served in the military.
Couldn't he have sent youths in the church service to go and disperse the boys?!!
This life ehn... Never make decisions in haste or anger. How many war ravaged and cartel controlled countries have you visited to affirm your stance? Priests have the right to gun ownership as any other person. |

Bosman17: At the end of the day… he stole and that should be condemned… not celebrated. We still have a long way to go in Naija… whilst I condemn in the strongest terms the death penalty sentence, I equally condemn charade… A thief should be charged accordingly.... Not planting a Dane gun on him and charging him for kidnapping or terrorism - That's an institutional set-up. |

idealogical: Pesin carry cutlass to do armed robbery, to kill people and take away their valuables, but people saying he stole fowl.
What if the people he robbed don die or they are your own family members.
This is why criminals get away with crimes in Nigeria.. So he carried Cutlass... So where did the gun that was kept beside him as evidence magically appear from? NPF Magic. Carrying Cutlass to steal eggs and fowl ko. |

MightySparrow: It was been subsidized heavily. Not would have been wrong with subsidies if done in a proper way. Nigeria borrows heavily to run the country and yet sells subsidized fuel to neighboring countries. The importers take the subsidies from government, sold trucks and the same barrels of fuel severally. Atimes even empty barrels were paid for! During festive periods, the prices were up. The question is, where was the subsidy when the prices went up. The most annoying part, the parasitic , lazy part of the country were the people benefiting from the madness.
Now, to sell at international price with our crawling Naira, the price must be high. Not that it is actually high but our exchange rate. Until we grow our economy to bring down the exchange rate, nothing will be well. All sectors of our commerce are interrelated. The more we have a homegrown economy, not IMF dictated, the better for us. I know things are hard, I feel it myself but the right things must be done otherwise, nothing is there for the future. People can criticize Tinubu but we need someone like him to confront the problems. And, the problem of Nigeria is not really the economy but prodigal fathers destroying the economy. This the reason the parasitic side is crying wolf at tax reform bill. Wasn't that the same thing GEJ explained when he wanted to remove subsidy over 12 years ago? Why did Tinubu and co influence the protest but supporting the same policy now, after over a decade of waste? What has changed? |
