Bros drive that car go oyinbo, ask them the place they call redeem field.
You will see a lot of Honda specialist there, they have seen such issues before.
Tell them u have been battling the issue for a while now, if they finish test drive before paying.
If the problem didn't stop no gree, if u make noise other mechanics will join heads to solve the issue, I strongly suggest u go very early in the morning because that place is always busy.
thanks for this though am base in benin and not lagos,
So i did some finding online through nairaland and i saw a post of how to fix the belt correctly i use the picture to check mine and discover my belt have being f8xed in the wrong way with not the right belt size. There i saw am to use size 2160, so i went and bought size 2160 and showed the mechanic the pic on how to fix it so the mechanic fix it and the vibration stop when engage but discover the belt was a little bit loose cos my battery light was showing so he advise i buy size 2150 which i did and he fix it. Since he fixed it everything have being ok since morning. No vibration,,squeaking or battery light showing. Thanks all for your effort i appreciate

Civic 2008 and vibration are siamese twins.

Did you use the same short belt when you fixed back the adjuster? The size of the belt is VERY important. There is a reason why the adjuster is there in the 1st place which is to ease the difficulty in fixing the appropriate belt of the car.

The belt that will fit the car will initially appear as too short when fixing it, but when you tilt the adjuster and roll the pulley, it will enter. You will notice the firmness of the belt.

With good adjuster and right belt size, that issue should go.
thanks, when i fix back the adjuster i didn't use the same belt i used another cos the belt i used when no adjuster was smaller. I will keep trying different.
Please if anyone owns a honda civic 2008 can help me with the size of fan belt he or she uses, thanks in advance

Those particular model of Civic always have adjuster problem, best is to buy a longer belt(I have forgotten the size) and reroute the belt. I could have posted the diagram, but i can't find the pic in my phone again. I hope you have scanned your gear, so you don't end up with Guess work.
thanks would rescann again, pls on the longer belt are my to remove the adjuster completely or fix it with adjuster

My confusion start wen I read here say the vibration when u put am on reverse or drive was caused by adjuster.
Fine, the squeaky sound has to do with the adjuster (not actually the belt).
But that vibration when engaged on driver or reverse should be another thing.
Check all your seatings (engine seats), check all if there's anyone damaged.

Much respect, baba.
thanks though have also changed my engine seat in the course of trying to solve the problem

the adjuster is not the problem but the symptoms. The adjuster is there for a reason to regulate the tension so why would you agree to remove the adjuster.

You need to first determine where the sound and vibration is coming from.
The vibration is coming from the adjuster, sir

Good evening house, please i need help. My car is honda civic 2008 model. Last year when i engage my gear to either drive or reverse, the car would start shaking and making sound, it was later discover that the fault is a faulty adjuster belt which i change by buying complete belt adjuster but still yet the signs and symptoms continue so my mechanic advise i remove the adjuster belt completely which he did and bought a shorter belt. After this i stop experiencing those noise and the shakes or vibrations but my belt easily worn out and woulf be making squeak noise. So now have decided again to go back to my belt adjuster cos driving without the adjuster is affecting even my battery, today i bought a new adjuster and also the symptoms of the vibration when engage in drive or reverse resurface.
Please house i am looking for a solution if anyone have please give me on how to stop the vibration when engage in drive and reverse, thanks

Don’t misquote me here - averagely your 1.8 liters should be using max 7liters for 100 kilometers. Which is not possible due to some constraints.

If you will like to know I will gladly enlighten you
to be honest i would like to know, am new to bolt, and for the few hours have worked i only regain my fuel money back but not much gain. Though i havent done it full day due to the fact that i work. But would be working full day on sunday to learn better. Thanks

I think this is where omopena bewilderment orchestrated from. I’ll beckon on him to first know his capacity and what is obtainable for him daily. If he can gravitate towards grossing 35 to 40k daily? Then the fuel consumption of his apparatus must have been the culprit. Oh my god!
sir ideally how many litre goes for an hour using 1.8 litre 4 cylinder as an example, thanks.

You can gross 45k a day on weekdays and 55k a day on weekends on indrive Every week.

That's approx 280k for 6 days or 335k for 7 days. It's the simplest thing ever. Been saying it for 2 months now.
pls how many hour in a day is a day work, thanks

This is one of the problems oga pearl + cheerful have with some of us and other people.
Like, is there anything wrong in being an Uber driver?

If a bolt driver has low self-esteem, it will be seen all over his face and his charisma.
Everybody in my compound and close to me as neighbors know say I be Uber driver, but the respect I get from everybody is enough to say they see me worthy.

If I go out to meet my padi, na chairman dem dey call me cos dey know that Uber drivers dey get money (somehow).
The mechanic I normally use, anytime I visit his shop, his boys dey hail me cos dey know say something go drop for them.

I went to a female friend's wedding yesterday, she works where I was working as a salary earner, as I showed up, omoh, see hailing from those who knew me in the company I was working, all of dem know say I switched to Uber driving when I left my former working place, cos I was soliciting for a car from some of the ogas dem that time. I do go to my company once in a while to help dem deliver some stuff.

My ex-boss and his friends were the chairman of the event, when they saw me, omoh, na them called me by themselves, na high table dem sit oooh. I approached dem with smiles and they all had handshake with me with pleasantries. People were just looking like, who be this person wey everybody know like this.

Those guys I met there were waiting for food and drinks before I even came, as I seated with them for some minutes and our tables dried, no refreshments showing up yet, I just went to one woman selling drinks and bought 4 bottles of best cream and some malts for the ladies on our table make we Dey use that one see front first.

We were later served food when the bride changed am for the people hoarding food.
Now, this isn't to show off, but I am proud to be an Uber driver anywhere, any day.
You're not feeding me and I will be shy to tell you what I do to keep myself and family in good shape? Who you be?

Na rental I dey do, I'm not rich, but I'm grateful to God that things have changed a bit and it's obvious in the eyes of the people that know me, even my boss and his friends saw the changes in me.

If I become a car owner tomorrow, it's definitely a step ahead of where I am today.
I dress nice and neat anytime I'm rolling out to drive, I'm proud to be an Uber driver.

Much respect, boss.
there is great dignity in labour. Na uber/bolt driver you be you nor be armed robber or any illegal doings. If a yahoo guy can comfortably introduce himself has a yahoo guy in Nigeria while shouldn't an uber driver do same

Good day bosses, in few days time I would be going to get a driver license and thereafter register on the bolt platform as a driver with my personal car which I will be driving as a side hustle. Please I want to understand something each time am ordering for a ride on the bolt platform I usually see two car options thats bolt category and other I can't get the name now. Please what criteria does a car have before bolt assign it to a particular category or class. Thanks

Also take your vehicle to your mechanic.
