Strong revelation emerged on Sunday on the reason why the people of Osogbo voted massively for the APC in the Saturday's guber election in Osun State.

An indigene of Osogbo who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity said the people of Osogbo were afraid to vote for the PDP candidate, Adeleke because of the age-long land dispute between Ede and Osogbo.

He said, "The fear had always been that if Adeleke wins, all the disputed land between Ede and Osogbo would be given to Ede since he hailed from Ede."

It would be recalled that the people of Ede and Osogbo have been embroiled in the fight of who owns the Abere land which housed the government house, CBN, NTA and most recently the proposed airport in Ido-Osun.

Past governments in the state have refused to cede the the Abere land to Osogbo or Ede. The proposed airport in the border of Ede and Ido-Osun have always been referred to as Ido-Osun.

Denys Gauer, outgoing French ambassador to Nigeria, says he does not believe that foreigners are involved in the killings across the country.
The French’s envoy position contradicts that of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari had said that the killings are as a result of the influx of mercenaries from the Sahel region.
“It has always been there, but now made worse by the influx of armed gunmen from the Sahel region into different parts of the West African sub-region,” the president had said when Justin Welby, archbishop of Canterbury, visited him in London back in April.
But speaking with journalists on Friday in Abuja, Gauer said impunity is encouraging the killings in the country and those responsible must be punished.
The envoy spoke to journalists in commemoration of the 2018 French National Day.
“The reason for the killings is demography; some people are fighting for land, so there must be direct policy to develop agriculture and animal husbandry,” he said.
“I think impunity is encouraging the killings and those responsible must be punished. I don’t believe foreigners are involved in the killings.
“The second is justice. When there is that kind of killing, there must be proper prosecution and perpetrators must be properly sentenced. If that does not happen then, it cannot end.”

The People's Democratic Party(PDP) has uncovered another plot by the INEC in collaboration with the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to rig the Osun Guber Election by creating fictitious polling units. The evidence as shown below is the duplication of Iperin PU in ILA LGA.
As can be seen below, Iperin PU was inputted in No. 6 and 7 with different number of voters. “Ila Local Government has 11 electoral wards, but ahead of tomorrow’s election, INEC has created an imaginary 12 wards for Ila and allocated over 4,000 votes for that ward, and that ward is called Iperin.
“What they have done is to create two wards in Iperin, instead of one; allocated votes for both wards including the original ward and the fictitious ward.”
Ologbondiyan said that ordinarily, if INEC was delineating constituency, where two or three wards shares name, they would give it numeral figures; “like this Iperin, would have been Iperin 1 and Iperin 2, but what we have in this situation is Iperin, Iperin.
