Politics / Rejoice, There Is Hope For Nigeria : ! by Chadrack(m): 1:35pm On Oct 08, 2010
"Whenever you see darkness, there is extraordinary opportunity for the light to burn brighter." ~Bono

Just picked this up and will want to share with all. Let us not lose hope in our dear country. What you may be seeing today as darkness is definitely an opportunity for a great light in our nation. God bless Nigeria!

@violent ,

So who are you thinking of giving your votes? This is the same mistake that our elders did in the past. We judge in a moment of anger and what happens, the next day we regret! Pls sit down again and consider why you had the mind of giving him your votes before. Is this one mistake bigger than that reason. May the lord help you to decide.

"The bold is exactly what we have been trying to make his blind supporters understand.
But they think with their blind support they were doing Jonathan any good.
We all know Jonathan is still a student in the school of politic, blindly supporting him even when we know he has falling inside a gutter will never help him in anywhere, will rather make him look more foolish.

Obama is getting stronger and better in politics becoz of the critics from the American people. Some might be consider right and he secretly take correction and some be wrong. But one thing i hate abt this Jonathan's supporter is that they are so blind that even when Jonathan mess they will consider it a presidential mess. If you speak against it you are being termed as Pro-IBB. Limiting Nigerians intelligent to IBB-Jonathan battle arena."

@ princekevo,

I ask that you read again your comment. with the sections I've put in bold.

Now, the issue is not a matter of supporting GEJ, the issue is trying to make nigerians see that we have moved beyond the sectional and myopic nigeria of yesterday. The president may have made a mistake of coming out boldly to make those statements when he did. But I want to say he did that becos as you said he is new to the game of telling lies as others have perfected theirs. To me he is the right person for the new nigeria not some who will hoodwink us with lies. Their time is past. We want a new nigeria and Jonathan will definitely help us in that.

I also believe as you said, like obama, Jonathan will grow into maturity in politics. Let us not judge with the yardstick of the past leaders. those who work with him testify to the man's ability to listen. Give him the chance.

I'd have gladly go for Ribadu, but most of you also shows he lacks experience compared to Jonathan, from your comments. Ribadu is a man with a clean mind but without the experience, which I believe Jonathan already has, Ribadu will not be able to do anything. I think it is time for the young generation of ths nation to stand up and do waht is right by supporting our leaders.
Politics / Re: How Family Lost 4 Members To Oct 1 Bombings by Chadrack(m): 11:53am On Oct 08, 2010
With a deep sense of loss we grieve with this family. We must not forget that this family one of us. They never asked for what happened so none of us knows what will happen the next minute. As we grieve with this family I believe it is time for us all to come to the realization that building this nation is collective responsibility. Time has come for us all, the citizens of this nation, to come of age. We must not continue to allow some elements to play on sensibility.

Blindly supporting people who have never meant well for the nation when they were there only because they are now singing the tune of "the govt is bad" is showing that we have no memory. What we should pray for right now is that God will help us clean the mess we are in.

@egift,

Welcome to Jonathan's new nigeria?

Have you asked yourself how long that man has been there? Why sing the praise of those who put us in this mess while putting the blame on someone who is barely 5 months in position? I fear for nigeria if this country will continue this way.

As I grieve with the families that lost their dear ones I grieve more for the living who will not see the light. May the good Lord have mercy on us!

dlox01:

whatz wrong with what he said, is it not the truth?those people there were just 'mocking' the masses, what were they celebratinglist them,
its his opinion not to go. I wouldnt go for such either!!! angry bullsh!t celebration

Bullshit celebration? Tell me, if because you have not built mansions or riding on a jeep or your own personal air bus, you will not celebrate you birthday? why do many nigerians think it was wrong for us to celebrate 50yrs of nationhood?

About IBB, what moral right has he to say we have nothing to celebrate? Is it not he and his northern brothers who have ruled this country over the years that have brought us where we are right now? Is is not him who popularised corruption and made it an officail thing? Is he not  the one who first made us  know what bombing of innocent lives means when Dele Giwa was cut shot in IBB days?

It is time for nigerians to know who they are instead of going about yarnning what they don't know.
Politics / Re: Nigeria, The North, And How It Will All End by Chadrack(m): 5:14pm On Oct 06, 2010
At least it is a glad thing that there are people who still see the truth and speak their mind. I'm really disheartened that myopic Nigerias who quickly forgets what has been happening in this country have already easily fallen for these northern elements who thinks it is their right to rule this country.

We know their time is up. Nigeria has been broken from their evil hands. No matter what they do they have failed. God is in country. Like you said, I saw this since last year when the issue of Yardua came up. The finger of God is at work.

Frankly your advice for the President to remain silent while allow those in the right positions to make the comments is welcomed. Hope someone will really let him know this. (Think I will just hope over to facebook pass it along!)
