Hausa/Fulani are focusing on preserving their culture. They are in discussion about making Hausa first language in North above English. Everything about them is finding ways to preserve their African heritage.

In South we see our language, religion, culture as liability. We strive at all opportunities to Westernize.....foreign culture is valued as an asset by Southerners.

Check out what culture has cost the north. Incessant fights, bokoharam, Almajiri etc. Would you exchange your tribe for Hausa if you had the chance?
