Long time oh . . . .Hope everyone is doing fine. Bukie luv, hang in there, sorry aboout what happened. . . .I know it's very painful but don't worry, your BFP is right around the corner. At least you now know what works for you (clomid) and besides thank God you didn't lose a tube in the process. It is well!

God has done it for me oh! I got my BFP last week. .. Honestly, i was so shocked , that it took me like 2 days to tell DH and then i couldn;t post here because last week was terribly hectic at work. I just kept telling myself that maybe it's a dream..... God just has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. I was already looking forward to my period (i guess that's why i wasn't expecting it), so that i could see my gynae for consultation on the medications to use for this cycle.

My dear sisters, thanks for all the encouragement and support on this thread. Am still keeping mute about it to everyone but felt it necessary to share on this thread. Am just praying to God that the next 9months is hitch free because honestly, the thoughts of the last m/c still haunts me...

I wish everyone of us truck loads of baby dust and pray each and everyone of us get our BFPs soonest. It is our time for testimonies, the devil has lost this one.

@bukieluv, Sorry for the Loss,the Lord shall strengthen you. When you were getting those positive ovulation test for couple of days,i was suspecting that you were pregnant,you should have taken HPT to be sure. I hope it was not the clomid that messed up with the pregnancy and also hope the ectopic didn't affect any of your tubes. It is well,God will comfort you.

@Ebony13, Please can you drop the contact of the naturopath that helped your friend set her Retroverted uterus in Benin.

@agiboma,ebony13,MSTIA, shiloh, ipio,Udoka2, mrs.kem09,Thank you Ladies for the support. The consolation i have from this bad moment,is at least i know i can conceive,it is to stay pregnant i should be praying for now.

@Udoka2,I am not quite sure if i experience such bites under my belly button during periods,so many pulls and pains goes on when one is menstruating. I will have to look out for such symptoms in the future. I thought they can detect fibroid easily via HSG or TVS. What can one do to avoid such re-occurrence in the future?,my hormone levels are OK.

I am also staying off any medication apart from folic acid and Preseed,i need to give my body some rest, it has gone through alot these couple of months.

@All, Sorry for not updating on time, I ran out of internet connection over the weekend,i was able to subscribe today.
Thank you ladies for all the support and prayers,I really appreciated it.Unfortunately, I LOST the pregnancy ,i was absolutely devastated, I have gotten over it. I hope this my news will not discourage anyone out there. Stay strong and keep believing.

@All, Thanks for all the support and prayers.

Quick update: As expected,i did blood test on Monday and it came back POSITIVE.I called my Re immediately and she asked me to continue taking folic acid and start cyclogest and schedule an appointment to see me on Friday.

For some reason whatsoever,i decided to POAS this morning since i have leftovers only for the HPT to come back as very faint positive,i had to squint to see the 2nd line. I immediately rush to the LAB to re-do another blood test and it came back negative from 2 diff Labs. I am absolutely petrified at the moment,i just want to scream over the roof top,I am already fearing the worst .

I am not feeling any AF at the moment,why will my HCG be dropping at this moment. I will see my doctor on friday and probably do another blood test and scanning.

I seriously need all your prayers now.


I pray that all of you in your 2ww,will get your BFP and sprinkly loads of babydust to the house.

@Shiloh, Thank you so much darling! You need to see the way i have been dancing alanta and azonto combine. Me and my DH have been singing praises to God since the test. Yesterday was my 1yr Marriage annivasary,i was convinced that i was pregnant but scared to test not to ruin the annivasary, this is the best gift ever! It has not sink in yet,i am still very nervous,it has been a long journey!

Once i get myself together,i will be able to explain all i did this cycle!

I am in total shock,i just POAS this evening 14DPO, i can't believe i just got my BFP. I am still shaking as i am typing this message. God i am so grateful to you,even if i have mouth all over my body it will still not be enough to say thank you Lord. Thank you ladies for all the words of encouragement,God will surely do your own soon.

I will do blood test on Monday,not sure i can do it tommorrow. I have POAS more than 6times this evening,all BFP.

@Toronto123, Congrats for the successful IUI, You will surely get a positive result. I am 12DPO today and i have been symptom spotting,i don't want to get my hopes up,i am also feeling pregnant but afraid to POAS. I hope we get our BFP's.

@Ebony13, that is what you get from these teaching hospitals,too many familiar faces and not being thoroughly monitored.

I was very furious when the IUI was a burst, I personally told the doctor CD10 when i went for my scan that i took an OPK at home and i was sure it was positive,he dismissed my claim saying that i am not suppose to do any OPK at home since i was on injectibles that i likely had false positive and he was angry that i was trying to teach him is job. He was adamant that the IUI must be done either CD13 or CD14 since i have 28days cycle period.

After spending so much money on medication,I wanted to be sure we where doing the right thing. Fast forward 2 days later CD12 i ovulated on my own, my eggs where all gone by the time i did the IUI CD13. And you are to abstain from sex for at least 2-3 days before the scheduled IUI to have good quality sper.m.

Ebony, do you know any other private clinic in Benin that carry out IUI procedure?

If you are on CLOMID cycle ensure that you are being monitored via ultrasound in order to ensure that it is not thinning out your uterus linning. If your uterus linning is too thin below 7mm,there is no way a fertilized egg can implant in your uterus,that is one of the side effect of clomid and it can dry up your egg white cervical mucus.

There are 2 brands of injectibles that is available here both contains LH&FSH.

Menopur- 1 single apple,75iu= 3500 Naira
Menogon- 1 single apple,75iu= 2700 Naira.

Both work in the same way,just difference in brand. You might need up to 10 to 15 apples depending on how you respond to the injections when u are monitored. So you can do your mathematics from there.

Then the HCG(Pregnyl),10000iu that will help trigger your ovulation= 5000 Naira. You will most likely ovulate within 36hr-48hrs after taking this HCG. This HCG also helps patience that don't ovulate on their own.

@ ebony13, I did the IUI in Benin(UBTH). I did an injectable cycle(Menopur),I produce 6 matured follicles all in the range of 19mm on CD10,unfortunately my LH surged on its own before i was administered HCG on CD12 the day i ovulated,i missed it by a day even when i was monitored,they thought i will not ovulate on my own and planned to do the IUI CD13. I still went ahead and did the IUI just for the sake of it.

The injectibles makes u produce alot of follicles thus the risk of multiple pregnancy but increase your chances of one egg sticking, the matured follicles release alot of estrogen hormone that makes your LH to be elevated and likely ovulate on time.

@ebony13, I have done IUI before, i paid 50,000 Naira(Washing of the sper.m and IUI procedure) excluding drugs to stimulate your ovaries to produce follicles. I had serious abdominal cramp hours after the procedure. It didn't work out for me because we didn't get the timing of the IUI right,i had already ovulated before it was done.

Sorry Mandate14,that stupid AF will not locate you again this cycle. I am 11DPO today,I pray i get my BFP this month.

Hi Ladies, I guess you are all doing well. I have been busy with knackson,that is why i have been off nairaland too like ebony13.

Quick update: CD15, I ovulated yesterday,i am in my 2ww now. Sprinkling baby dust everywhere.

Hi ladies, I can see that we are all getting along very well. I am on CD6 today,started taking menopur injection from CD3 and will be going for my first follicular scan on CD9.

I use to chart my BBT,i had to stop because it was making me more anxious and obssessed with TTC. Taking temperature every morning makes me think about TTC every single day and at times it is good to take your mind off it to relieve some stress.And there is no way to take your mind off it,if you have to wake up every morning of your cycle day to take your temperature. It is good for those that have irregular cycles just to pin point if you ovulate or not.

It is advisable to BD every other day through out your cycle,pin pointing a particular day to have sex puts alot of pressure on you and your partner.

@nakedall,nomshu, You both should be embarrassed with your comments,that is just too insensitive . We are all here to help each other go through this difficult period together with a positive mindset and as such your negative comments are not needed here.

@mrs.kem09, that ovulation test looks positive to me,your LH might still be surging. I will advise you and your husband to start BDing now non-stop for the next couple of days. Don't worry too much about the test,the only 100% proof you have that you ovulated is when you see BFP @ the end of your cycle,so continue to knackison.
