pslm23: but i did not include any prescription doses! I only mentioned the name of a medication my husband was using that caused me the heart break i went through and still am going through today. For them to remove that post is wrong. We are all on a journey here, someone might be using that same medication without knowing the horrendous damage it is causing. Do you know what it feels like to find out that your husband went from have millions of swimmers with great motility to a big fat zero..NOTHING swimming at all in a matter of 8 months that he was on that medication which he started using unknown to me. I love to look up things online especially medications and their side effects, if i had known he was using it, i'd have looked it up and stopped him.
Anyway, my egg retreival happened smoothly. i had 6. All 6 have been frozen because my husband no longer has any swimmers. We are now contemplating using a donor from a S.Bank.
Life is a learning field, we all learn from what other people are going through. If any of your husbands are on any medication, please check and find out what kind of side effects it will have on his count. I'm suffering greatly because of what has happened. I have not been to work in over 3 weeks. I am so depressed.... I am leaving for Nigeria in a week and i will stay there for maybe a month till this feeling passes, but i can't function properly anymore!

Dr.Greg's pregnancy test kit is reliable and very sensitive to HCG and highly recommendable. Maybe she should test again after a week, or take a blood test to be sure. Wishing her luck!

My Doctor put me on clomid n said it wld trick my body into producing more estrogen as it inhibits estrogen! Ma sista, small tin, I for no dey see my period again ooo! I used pineapple core to build back my uterin lining(it really works!). It also means fertility blend is not for me as it also contains vitex which lowers estrogen. Am tired of being a guinea pig to doctors. Infact some issues that infertile women are having are so caused by wrong medications! @All, do you know of any natural food or veggies that I can indulge in to boost my estrogen levels? :'. Thanks and Amen. Actually your Low estrogen levels can affect your ability to ovulate(Annovulatory cycle). Without the right amount of Estrogen,your body cannot prepare for an egg release and as such ovulation may not occur at all and the linning of your uterus will be scanty.Your best bet is to talk to you doctor about this,there are several medication that can boost your Estrogen levels and also induce ovulation.I am not sure of natural foods that can do that,maybe other ppl on this forum can help. Please,try and take charge of your fertility. Wish you babyluck.

Echala: @ Champs thanks for the info, this 2 weeks wait will result in your BFP IJN, one more question when taking all these shots to make you ovulate do you cease having ovulation mucus? I am on clomid this cycle and I noticed that am not having my regular stretchy discharge as I normally would, does clomid dry this up?

Taking follicle stimulation injection doesn't dry up your cervical mucus,where as Clomid has the tendency to dry up your Egg white cervical mucus and make it very hostile for the sper.my to swim through. If your are too dry up there,you might want to try fertility friendly lubricant like PreSeed or try Robittuson cough syrup. I still think that Egg white cervical mucus is overrated,you can still conceive as long as you ovulate.

My last hormone profile read-FSH:5.3(1-9), LH:7.3(1-12),Prolactin:9.1(up to 15),Estradiol:10(30-100),Progesterone:7.0(2.0-25). Can anyone help to interpret my results. Was on Clomid sometime in 2009 by my obgyn, ended up thinning my uterine lining, no bfp!!! Maybe it just wasn't for me. Can fertility blend(which contains vitex) help me conceive? For now am just on pregnacare conception.DH has been on antibiotics for recurrent staph infection; can that deter pregnancy? Please help me as U all are my only source of INSPIRATION!!!

Your day 3 hormonal profile result is within range except for your Estrogen levels which is low and suppose to be around 30-100 and so taking estrogen inhibitor like clomid will do you no good and will only lower the levels and thin out your linning.There are several causes for low estradiol - premature ovarian failure, menopause, low body fat/anorexia, excessive exercise, high doses of B6,insulin issues some herbs or meds can lower levels. You might want to repeat the test and talk to your doctor if you are overly concerned.

Echala: Congrats Aigboma, you shall have a stress free 9months IJN. Thank God my HSG was good both tubes patent, does anyone know what IUI entails as am considering it, and pls I hope someone responds to this question as since 2010 I have been posting here no one has ever responded to me, or maybe it's in my head but am pretty sure of this.

IUI is a very simple non-invasive procedure that involves the doctor inseminating you with your DH washed sperm.y with the aid of a catheter. Must IUI are medicated cycle where you will be given drugs(Clomid etc) or Injection to stimulate your ovaries to produce mature follicles and you will be fully monitored with Transvaginal scan to know how you are responding to the medication.Once the follicles containing your eggs are matured enough you will be given another injection(HCG) to help you ovulate within 36-48hrs. IUI will be done within the 36-48hrs after the HCG injection,the procedure itself doesn't take more than 5 mins,you can feel a little crampy,but you haven nothing to worry about.

July took nothing BD 1 day after i noticed my ovulation by examining my CM and August BFP

Af showed yesternight. so the last BFP was a leftover pg hormone and l actually Oed on the 17th of July. My LP is 16days, and yesterday was the 16th day.

Greetings fruitfull ladies,I guess you are all doing fine today. I decided to take it slowly this cycle no medication strictly on herbs.

@mrs.kem09, Sorry for the AF. Injectable cycle is not that cheap,if you are slow responder it will run into 50,000 Naira.

There are 2 brands of injectibles that is available here both contains LH&FSH.

Menopur- 1 single apple,75iu= 4500 Naira
Menogon- 1 single apple,75iu= 2700 Naira.

Both work in the same way,just difference in brand. You might need up to 10 to 20 apples depending on how you respond to the injections when u are monitored. So you can do your mathematics from there. And you have to be fully monitored with TVS.

Then the HCG(Pregnyl),10000iu that will help trigger your ovulation= 5000 Naira. You will most likely ovulate within 36hr-48hrs after taking this HCG. This HCG also helps patience that don't ovulate on their own.

MSTIA, your LH level is hugher than your FSH. Oestradiol level is good too need to be less than 100 at that stage. Progesterone is good too as you havent ovulated.

chidima: @kemidebbie, its well. @hebrew woman, my doc induces d period and allows it to respond on its own d next mth. When dat happens, he puts me on only clomid. Howeva, dn't thk i wl take it dis time around. Its makes me really dry. And makes love making so painful. Do u knw what i can do abt dat? And u, is it only clomid u take. @genbuhari, we are stil praying. God is stil in control.

If you are super dry with clomid,you might want to try fertility friendly lubricant like PreSeed.You can also talk to your doctor to place you on Tamoxifin an alternative to clomid which can also help to induce ovulation or try more aggressive means by using injectibles. There are others natural once like Soy Isoflavin, Vitex etc,but discuss with your doctor before using any of this drugs.

@Ebony13, Thanks for the wishes. Yes, i took only 100 millli gram clomid and nothing else, i was suprised to produce so much follicles. You can get the Estradiol(Progynova) at RealCare Pharmacy,Sakponba road by Erie(Bureau d change) thats where i bought mine. Sending babydust your way.

Today CD 13, Follicular Tracking:
2 Dominant follicles in the Left Ovary, 20.5mm and 15.5mm
3 Dominant follicles in the Right Ovary, 22.5mm, 21mm and 20mm
Total of 5 Mature follicles ,I pray i don't develop OHSS.
Linning Thickness: 7.8mm

Took HCG today to ovulate within the next 36-48hrs, so my knackson start tonight as i am doing timed intercouse,and hope to catch 2 of those eggy.

Sprinkly loads of babydust everywhere.

Congratulations Udoka2 and Yogun,what God has done for you shall be permanent. Let the BFP's keep flowing in,i am so excited.

@maryswags, So sorry for what you have gone through,I pray God see you through this trying times.Your hormonal profile test should be done on CD3. Just relax,it normally takes little time for your hormones to come back to normal after misscarriage. I will also advise that you see a Reproductive Endocrinologist so as to evaluate you properly.

Quick update: I am CD6 today,below is my regime for this month:

CD2-CD6: Clomid 100 milli gram daily
CD7-CD11 Estradiol(Progynova) 4 milli gram daily to help build up my uterine linning
2DPO- Cyclogest 200 milli gram Pessaries to continue after my BFP
Folic Acid and Vit E dialy.

Have you ladies heard of GERITOL vitamins,you can google it.I read there is "A baby in every bottle". Not sure if it is available here in Nigeria.

I am only exhausted and drained psychologically during my fertile days because of the pressure that comes with the MUST sex,i am trying my best to be relaxed this days. Please, Estradiol is a prescription drugs and you must consult with your doctor before taking it. However,you can get it at big pharmacy stores the brand name is PROGYNOVA it helps to thicken uterus linning. You can take 2 mil.li gra.m every 12hrs starting from CD8- CD12 and must not be taken after Ovulation. You will follow up with Cyclogest(progesterone) after ovulation until you confirm your BFP or AF. If no BFP or AF after 16dpo,you will have to discontinue the cyclogest.

You follicle was juicy but the Endometrial thickness was borderline,maybe it was because of the clomid you took,must RE wants to see the linning @ 8mm minimum,you could have plummed it up with Estradiol. Finger crossed everything works out for you. It is well.

Sorry for the PCOS,maybe you will have to start taking Metmorfin. Where did you do the scan that you were diagnosed of PCOS,i normally do my scans at BRS. What was the size of your dominant follicle and uterine linning if you don't mind sharing. I normally take 10,000 IU pregnyl(HCG) to trigger ovulation. Hope your DH sperm.y catch your golden eggy,enjoy your knackson. I am also waiting for Udoka to share her experience with the Naturopath.

If you feel that your LH is already surging on its own,i will advise you to BD before you go for the TVS just to cover all loopholes. If your DH does not have any sper.m issues,a day interval is enough for him to reload. Don't take that risk of waiting until you take the HCG before you BD,you might just miss your natural ovulation.Ensure they check your Endometrial thickness(linning) when doing the follicular tracking since you are taking clomid.Wish you all the best and hope you catch your eggy!
