Ichieboxy: 1)I am not.after such inanities like west Germany... Show me where you criticized his 95% & 5% analogy...Show me where you condemned his confusion in security issues.including road block brouhaha... show me where you were against dissolving NNPC board that was not existing...Show me where you were confounded by his announcing TSA which has started under Jonathan... or you laughed them away too ...BTW even in our constitution stealing is NOT corruption... just as his yam and goat analogy are topnotch....
2)Buhari has been president for more than 4months(April to August) & contested for 12yrs and do not have his kitchen cabinet ready even...Nawa for una...
3)How did he prove himself ...By using koboko to control prices of goods in the market or by his having ONLY 5000 out of a whooping 75000 graduates under him employed... Add remaining 70000 to millions that lost their jobs under him due to his inefficiency...or companies that folded...or railway that died...or what exactly ...Or his term as PTF boss...maybe you Google APC Consulting firm owned by Sqlihijo his in law....smh...
BTW I thought buhari said that it is height of inefficiency, corruption and l leadership failure to beg other countries to assist in fighting insurgency?.... I thought he said that there's nothing likes subsidy
modified You see, let me start by saying I have a life outside Nairaland, so forgive me if I don't comment on everything as I'm not Buhari's media spokesman on Nairaland...so, with all due respect, most(not all) of the things you mentioned above are insignificants. If you live in US or UK, you'll understand what I'm saying. The issue of 95-5% has been explained by his media spokesman, I believed Buhari was ill-advised concerning the issue of security as regards road blocks in some parts of Nigeria and as a listening president, he made amendment immediately. The issue of dissolving NNPC board and TSA announcement (if true) has to do with what I'm talking about as regards having enough time to study the hand over notes. You said Stealing is not Corruption according to the Nigerian constitution, can you pls show me the section of the constitution that says so. 2)Buhari was sworn in on May 29th and that's about 2.5months as president(not 4months). I made the same mistake so I'll forgive you. I've raised the same issue as regard 'kitchen cabinet' but I think we should just wait and see. Perhaps, he's still carrying out their background checks. 3)Yes, Buhari may not be perfect as nobody is perfect but he's far more disciplined than most corrupt leaders we've got today. |

melzabull: Utter bunkum! Infact you love us more than we love ourselves. May be we should also forget the threat from oba of lagoon? nonsense!
Who are you to tell us what we should considered right? To the average yorobar man, whatever will benefit the Igbos is wrong. The Yorubas always hate to hear or see anything good about igbo, FACT! To you its 'blind support' because we made a choice and didn't support yours? hypocrite
shut up! liar from the pit of hell. The late Dora (God bless her soul) blew the lid open on the cabal that held Nigeria to ransom. The terms cabal and kitchen cabinet crawled into our political vocabulary courtesy of the virtuous Dora and has since remained a part of Nigeria's political lexicon. So try another lie, this will not sell
Again shut up. Are you talking about the divide and rule that ceded Igbo territories to the SS? or the one that seeks to deceive gullible fools that there are no Igbos in the SS?
You mean Yorubas wanted GEJ to succeed? by using your propaganda outlets/media to lie your way through? was that also why you rejected mulikat adeola as house speaker? what a clown! lwkmd
Every Nigerian criticised obj, the same baboon that Institutionalized corruption in Nigeria. Were you lots not praising him when he was attacking GEJ cos GEJ refused to dance to his tunes? Mind you he (obj) was foisted by the military cabal on Nigerians.
Another lie from the pit of hell. Even devil himself will bow for yorubas who thrive on propaganda, falsehood and lies. nonsense Clap for yourself mazi beelzebub |

Ichieboxy: Good to know...
1)Can you provide me a link to see where you criticized buhari's goofs so far...
2)Does it make sense that someone on a timed journey will start with honeymoon?
3)Is there a second chance to make a first impression 1) It depends...I don't just criticise for criticism sake...I've got better things to do...if he goofs...I laugh it off( if it's funny ) like every other person and we moved on. Example, when he described Germany as West Germany, Michelle Obama as what sef? I laughed and that's it. People said funny stuffs about the statements and I laughed it off by clicking ' '. You'll not see me defending him or attack people for making fun of him. He deserved it. Next time, he'll polish his current affairs. Now compare that with statements like "stealing is not corruption'. I was so angry with that statement that, I think I created a thread for it. 2) You need to understand what 'honeymoon' means in this context. Every new government need some few weeks to study the thousands of pages of handing over books/manual before fully settling down and Nigeria is not in anyway different. 3) Buhari already proved himself as a military head of state. |

You're very right to say I'm still in the campaign mood and I'll remain so. The problem with most Nigerians is that, during election campaigns, politicians will promise them heaven and earth just to get their votes and when they get elected, people go home thinking the job is done and, earnestly hoping for things to fall into places automatically. If you ask Nigerians the top three things their president, governors, L.G chairman, Councillor, Reps etc promised them during campaign, I bet most people don't know. I'm sorry, I'm not like that. Many atimes, I have called out Buhari on some issues that I think can help him. 2)Imo state under Rochas has gone bankrupt...and declared insolvent by CBN...what sustainable project did he embark on to cause the state such financial harm ...
3)Imo state has its LGA bastardized under Rocha's... notwithstanding they won him in court...he refused to implement court ruling till date...why should I not hate him?...
4)Rochas formed 4th tier government which is unconstitutional while 3rd tier is dead and comatose...what kinda of confusion is that?...does he deserve my love with this?...
5)Rochas owes salaries notwithstanding he has HIGHEST allocation in SE...education has collapsed with his quantitative free education with NO QUALITY... why should I love him?...
6)Should I continue?...No state in SE has such bad record not even Abia state under TA Orji...who paid salaries, developed Umuahia but abandoned others to their fate...and NEVER had such debt as Imo state...Rochas wants to produce Osun state out of Imo state...thanks Pls who then do you love among your governors then? |

This statement reminded me of what the Oba of Lagos said during the Lagos gubernatorial election when he said, " Agbaje is my blood relative but Ambode is my choice/favourite". The difference is that, the Oba spoke before the election while Tambuwal spoke after the election. Everyone has freedom to support whoever they want to support. I respect Gbaja for his response. |

Turn right or left n behold a place of worship, yet no love That's right...our problem is that, many claim to serve God and love God by attending churches, mosques etc and yet, they come on Nairaland, hide behind their laptops, phones, ipads etc to spread hates between christians and Muslims, Muslims and Traditionalists, Christians and Traditionalists, Atheists and Christians, Atheist and Muslims, Yorubas and Igbos, Igbos and Hausas, Yorubas and Ijaws, Ijaws and Igbos, Hausas and Yorubas, Fulanis and Igbos, Yorubas and Fulanis, APC vs PDP, APC vs APGA, PDP vs APGA, Ekiti vs Lagos, Anambra vs Imo, Kano vs Kaduna, SW vs SE, SS v NE and so on, and so forth. AuntySusan: My take is that if Igbos are guilty of supporting Jonathan's every move, pro Buharists are already guilty of same. Personally there are one or two things so far that Buhari has done that may not be right, but I'm yet to see how many pro Buharists that don't defend each of them. So dont u think u lack the moral right to condemn Igbos for doing exactly the same thing u're doing today? No? That's btw though
So are u saying Igbos are hated because of Jonathan Or Jonathan is hated because of Igbos? OP check below the topic I created less than one month after Buhari was sworn in and you'll have an idea of the type of person I am. I'm not an hypocrite who hides behind his/her keyboard just to dish out trashes. Believe it or not, Yorubas are strongly watching Buhari and they're taking notes. If they don't spare their own, they won't spare Buhari if he starts to misbehave, trust me. This is one thing I like about the Yorubas. They're not two-faced people. You see, the truth is people don't hate Igbos....I honestly don't know where you get that from. Yes, there have been distrusts and all that in the past but life goes on. And if truly you're conducting a research, I'll advice you to go on the street as well and not to base your final submission on Nairaland alone which I think you're already doing. https://www.nairaland.com/2405122/dear-president-buhari-3months-enough |

OP, what's your take on this... change49ja: I disliked (I don't hate) Jonathan's administration because of its incompetence and cluelessness but I love Igbos...some of my best friends around the world are Igbos..so, nothing can' make me hate Igbos...forget about what goes on on NL.
Having said that, I understand why it's easier for other people from other parts of the country to be angry with 'some' Igbos for their what I termed ' blind support' for Jonathan, just like the Ijaws did. It's one thing to support someone when they're doing right, it's another thing to support someone even when they're doing wrong things.
Moreover, it's a fact that, many Yorubas were at the fore front of the war against the cabal in order for Jonathan to become president. Many put their lives at risk. This is why people believe it's unfair to say the Igbos love GEJ more than other Nigerians hence, the 'hating'.
Like others have said, GEJ used a very dangerous divide and rule method to govern the country e.g religion, ethnicity, tribalism and what have you. Criminals and other AGIPs were giving national awards and recognitions just for been loyal to the president while those that sincerely fought for him and prayed for him to succeed were trampled upon.
OBJ himself will confess that his people-the Yorubas (even his kinsmen) were his biggest critics during his 8years in office. I never heard the Yoruba people say "he's our son so he can do whatever he likes, we'll still support him" like the ijaw and some igbo did.
So, Nigerians generally believes that same should apply to Jonathan but unfortunately, this wasn't so because anyone whosoever criticise GEJ was labelled as an enemy.
The Ijaws started the propaganda and unfortunately, a lot of Igbos joined this propaganda and the rest as they say, is history. |
