PoliticsRe: Breaking:- Investors Flee Nigeria - Bloomberg News!!! by change49ja: 10:57am On Sep 11, 2015
Kx:
The investors that
A. Built world class refineries
B. Established car assembly plants like Toyota, Honda etc
C. Turned our cocoa into chocolate
D.established world class roads and other infrastructures that profited them and d populacehuhhuh?

How come the kind of investors that gets attracted to Nigeria are more of short term fund speculators/investors than long term?
You know what? I was about to ask same questions until I saw your post. These investors are not the kind Nigeria need now. We need investors that will invest in our refineries, power, water etc. Thanks.

PoliticsRe: Declare Your Asset, Ekiti APC Tells Fayose by change49ja: 2:53pm On Sep 09, 2015
“It is curious that he has not abused President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo after they declared their assets. Fayose’s loud silence on the President in this case is curious because the governor has never seen anything good in whatever the President does,” Olatunbosun said.

I see this as a blessing in disguise. Let's start from the scratch...We've got 12months to put our house back in order from the scratch. PMB should use this opportunity to deal massively with all the 'wreckers' of our economy by retrieving back all their looted funds that runs into billions of dollars.

When that was brought into play, I pointed out that I feared this would politicize what we were trying to do. And that therefore I felt we should take politicians out of this. But I was overruled by those who had the power to overrule me.
Did you read the above statement from Mr. Kolade.

Whistleblower : noun(used especially in newspapers) a person who informs people in authority or the public that the company they work for is doing something wrong or illegal.
Mr Kolade, you should have made this information known, while you were still in service of the committee
Mr. Kolade, you developed itchy fingers while still in the committee, and were then compelled to resign, but the government out of respect for your long meritorious service to the nation, kept it from the public. But now Mr Kolade you are abusing that privilege.
I laughed at the bolded. As if we don't know how things work in Nigeria. What if the people responsible for the wrong doing or illegal activities are the same people in authourity?

I do really respect Buhari compare to other retired Army Generals especially former heads of state. I can't believe he has no oil well even as a former Petroleum minister. Shege. Even Abdulsalam Abubakar is worth more than 150 Billion Naira not to talk of GEJ, OBJ and IBB.
PoliticsRe: Update On Governor Fayose's Numerous Projects by change49ja(op): 9:44am On Sep 03, 2015
Sorry, my own defination of government closeness to the people is provision of good road networks for the people, good healthcare systems for the people, adequate security, clean water, electricity, employment and so on for the people. Not all these dramas and paparazzi stuffs. But like I said, who am I to talk when the people pretends to be happy with him because he eat and dance at the market places with them.
PoliticsRe: Update On Governor Fayose's Numerous Projects by change49ja(op): 9:39am On Sep 03, 2015
So Fayemi was not close to the people because he was not eating in every available 'Bukas' like Fayose, or pricing 'pomo', pepper, yams in the market, or drinking Palm wine in public with his boys, or riding okada on the streets without wearing an helmet or stopping vehicles on motor ways asking for their licenses...SMH

If you cannot see the brilliance of Fayose's strategy, then you can not tell, the color of your eye pupils. Fayose is a strategic and meticulous wizard. While distracting the media and populace from his low budget projects, he is increasing his popularity in the minds of the people. What was Fayemi's error: He was completely cut off from his people. The Educated elite in Ekiti state had him in a locked room and he didn't know it. Fayose knows that if he has control of the minds of the people, then he has control of the state. Keep on mocking him, while he keeps on heading towards his goal, one square meter at a time.
You're right with the bolded unfortunately. This is why most Nigerians will continue to be suffering and at the same time smiling. I pity my people.

PoliticsRe: Open Letter To President Muhammadu Buhari On His Recent Appointments by change49ja: 6:22am On Aug 30, 2015
bushdoc9919:
The whole purpose of this letter is simple.

In my opinion, the whole bother over which tribe gets appointments is nothing more than a storm in a teacup.

I have asked several people why they complain about Buhari's appointments. I also recall that we had the same arguments right from the time of the Millitary to the present day.

And the argument as to why Buhari should appoint South Easterners, why GEJ should have appointed more Northerners and why during millitary rule we should have had more from tribe X or region Y boils down to

1.If we have more of our people in place....we will get more jobs, our children would get more scholarships/admissions, etc.

2.If we get more posts, we won't become slaves.

The real reason why people have been playing the tribal card in this game is simple. Nigeria is a tribal society, and most people believe that there is a national cake to be shared. As a result , people fight over the sharing of the national cake.

And this fighting over the sharing of the national cake things does not diminish when it is one tribe (Witness the argument over which region should produce the governor in states with just one tribe).

The issue for me is clear. Nigerians should stop behaving as if there is a national cake. Nigerians should also stop behaving like rich pampered wives of rich men. Nigeria does not have money to share. We never had enough money to share. We are a poor nation and we must work for our money, we must struggle for our money. And the only way we can do that is by following the long and hard road to industrial development....whether together as a nation or apart as separate nations. That is the truth, and it is no lie.

And one thing....I know some people will read this article as an attack on someone's tribe. It is not an attack, or an excuse for the govt not to adhere to the laws on federal character. If you read it like that....maybe it is you with the problem. Maybe you need to change your mindset. You have governors and local government chairmen. They are not strangers. Put them to work for you. They can develop your state to such a point that you won;t need to be arguing for govt job. And all those states that win govt jobs will remain underdeveloped when they wake up and realise that being in power does not being good roads, good ideas, etc.

It is high time Nigerians stop agitating for awoof government. I am a Nigerian. I understand the Nigerian way of thinking in this matter. That does not mean it is the right way, or that we can never change to a better way.

Nigerians awake.
I understand where you're coming from and I totally agreed with you however, we have to understand that, this is politics we are talking about. A lot of people, especially in the southern part of Nigeria risks their lives for PMB and it'll be unfair if majority of his appointments are from the north.

It's easier to say it doesn't matter where the people he appoints comes from but you and I know that, having been labelled a tribalist and religious bigot, Buhari should tread carefully and at least prove to these people that he's not all that.
