obalola7: Bible Study Made Easy: The Book Of Exodus
Children of Israel are becoming mighty in Egypt Exodus 1
Introduction- In our last lesson we learned about how Israel was buried, Joseph died and asked his people to take his bones out of Egypt when the time come that God will take them out of Egypt to where he had promised their forefathers. In today's lesson we will be learning about how Israel seed has started multiplying and increasing in strength and becoming mighty, Pharaoh thought of diminishing the children of Israel strength and made a decree that all male child be thrown into the river when his previous plan had failed. Today's Study The names of the children of Israel which came into Egypt are Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher. The entire children of Israel and his descendants were 70 that came to meet Joseph and his family in Egypt. After the death of Joseph the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly and multiplied and waxed exceeding mighty and they were filled with the land. After this, a new King was install that did not know Joseph. Then he noticed that the children of Israel are mighty, and planned to deal with them before they fight against them when there is war. (Exodus 1:1-10) So they gave them lots of work to do and they built treasure cities Pithom and Raamses for Pharaoh. However, the more they afflict them the more they become stronger and the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve them with rigor. They were subjected to very difficult work with handcuff on their hands and the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwife Shiphrah and Puah that if during the course of their midwifing if they found any Jewish woman deliver a boy, they should kill him. But the midwifes feared God and did not do that, when Pharaoh noticed, he asked them why they failed to listen to him, they said, because the Hebrew women were stronger than Egyptians and that before they could get there they had delivered and Pharaoh made a decree that any Israel male child should be thrown into the river.(Exodus 1:11-22) Reflection There is no doubt that when God promise he will fulfill. The time we may not know, but certainly he will bring it to pass. The almighty is powerful enough to make things happen and to perfect everything. Now the descendants of Israel that came to Egypt were 74 and they have increase in population, strength and might as God promised Israel that his seed will be multiplied. "17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;" (Genesis 22:17) If you are loved by everyone, its because God's promise for your life is yet to materialized. When God start fulfilling his covenant for your life, people who use to love you, will start having reason to hate you. Our God is able to do all things. Israel population is growing and they are becoming mighty, and Pharaoh saw reason to be offended because of Israel progress. Let us be prayerful when things are good, so when things turn bad, we can tap on God grace to sustain us. "15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake."(Isaiah 54:15) My prayer is that when an evil plan is planned against you, may the almighty fight your battle. amen

Mukina dealt with it appropriately.[/color] young man, don't take my stupidity on this forum as an insanity...
I discovered after creating a thread on Kim K, that moderators have been deleting my threads or maliciously sticking it to the section even when it has good contents capable of reaching the frontpage.
Look, I'm aware I created a rubbish thread titled '190 irritating channels' with an inscription 'don't open', I did that to share some funny unspeakable things we do in real life, what went wrong? It was deleted.
Again I created on the Papalswag, 'popes legacy', its was stick to the section, I tried to know if its for real, I started commenting on it my self saying move, move, move, yet it didn't even move an inch above any thread in its section not to talk of frontpage.
Yet another fine one on kim K, it was deleted, wait oooooo mods do meeting on me? I have no option then talk to una master o, seun. |
Celebrities › Kim Kardashian Nets $500,000 After 45-minute Appearance In Nigeria by channel190(op): 5:43am On Feb 19, 2013 |
In the pursuit of riches, Kim Kardashian will travel the world.
And following her controversial trips to the Middle East and the Ivory Coast, the reality star headed to Nigeria on Sunday.
Despite staying less than a day in the city of Lagos the pregnant star was paid a reported $500,000 for her fleeting visit, angering some commentators in the African country. Kim’s visit to Nigeria unfortunately coincided with the kidnapping of seven foreigners, including one Briton, by armed men in the north of the country. An Islamist group later claimed responsibility.
The mother-to-be was billed to ‘co-host’ the Love Like A Movie event with African R’n'B crooner Darey Art-Alade, for which tickets cost N100,000, or $640.
But according to local reports Kim stayed at the event for 45 minutes, making a 45-second statement on the microphone.
Independent Nigerian TV station Channels Television reported: ‘There were disappointments after Kim Kardashian came on stage for only 40 seconds.’
The channel posted pictures of the smiling star wearing a black leather dress, posing alongside the performers including 2Face, Waje, Banky W, Ice Prince, Mo’Eazy and Zaina.
Guardian blogger Jeremy Weate described how Kim’s visit was an example of the country’s economic elite ‘blowing its money on bling puffery while most of the country suffers’.
He wrote: ‘Ms Kardashian appeared, said, “Hey Naija” and vamoosed. The rumour was that she’d been paid 500,000 Benjamins for the honour of mixing with the petro-class.’ Commentators in the country made reference to Kim’s infamous sex tape as they queried why a woman of dubious ‘moral rating’ should be in the country at all.
This Day newspaper’s Eddy Odivwri wrote: ‘Many families are not exactly comfortable with her lifestyle, as she hardly cuts the image of a role model to a generation in need of a moral dress up.’
But Odivwri did welcome her visit as a sign that the country was an attractive destination to celebrities.
‘Despite what is considered as Nigeria’s many drawbacks, the nation remains yet a destination point to several international personages… the latest to visit… is Kim Kardashian, the world’s most famous American reality show celebrity.’
Kim was criticised for her brief marriage to Kris Humphries, with Charles Mgbolu for AllAfrica writing: ‘It is uncertain how much Kim is loved in Nigeria as she fell sour to a lot of her fans after her divorce with former hubby Kris Humphries in a marriage that lasted barely 72 days.’
And it wasn’t just in Nigeria that eyebrows were raised, with Ghana based site GhanaCelebrities.com writing: ‘My questions is; what is wrong with us Africans?
‘When did Kim Kardashian become so good at hosting that she has to be paid thousands of dollars and be brought to Nigeria to handle a concert?’ Kim seemed oblivious to the controversy, however, as she left on an Air France flight.
Looking tired she was later pictured arriving in Los Angeles, her bump hidden beneath a simple white shirt which she teamed with black trousers. But she did manage a smile for the cameras, perhaps glad to be home. The 32-year-old tweeted: ‘Just landed back home! 20 hrs of flying. No big deal.’ |

No 3. Obalola7: The bible made us to understand that he is the potter and we are the clay.
A clay does not question the authority of its potter, it subject itself to the molding, structuring, shaping and design of its potter.
The potter has the power, either with force or soft to manage change on its clay. “
Isaiah 64:8-
8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”
Every word of God could be questioned, but questioning to get interpretation is welcome, but not to misinterprets or questions the authority of God.
While it is known that we hardly question what we are very sure of, except those things we do not totally believe in.
The bible as its known to be God inspiration should be believed in totality without doubt.
For instance: If you are in trouble or you have been told that an herbalist is a strong spiritualist and you had patronized him once or twice or know someone who has, if you go seek a solution at his place and he ask you not to wear your shoe for 7 days and you will see solution.
There is no doubt that if you are really pressed with your problem, you will listen to him and not doubt him.
You will believe him because you have heard about it
You will believe him because you have people who talk about how powerful he is You will also believe him because of the nature of your problem.
So if you can believe in an herbalist why not believe in God inspired written word.
That is why Jesus says thou shall love the lord thy God with all thy heart. If you love God, there is no reason to question his authority or word, just like the way you would hardly question your parents judgment when you are 5 years old.
Also lets look at Jeremiah 18:1-8
1.The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. |

Answer No. 2 obalola7: Ans: (a) Yes it is an authority for the past, present and the future inspired by God.
(b) Yes it does.
The last chapter reflects on the past, present and the future.
Revelation 22:15 reflects on the past because it acknowledged that there are current and past problems of sorcerers and murdered and idolaters inclusive 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, andwhoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:4-6 talks about the future 4 And they shall see his face; and his nameshall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Source ibid |

Answer to No. 1. obalola7: answer to 1.
Revelation 12:7-9
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels werecast out with him.
Isaiah 14:12-17
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sidesof the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Ezekiel 28:12-19
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation uponthe king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wastupon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity wasfound in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thybeauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom byreason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by themultitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bringforth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more Source; https://www.nairaland.com/1142568/bible-study-made-easy |
