Presently, the domain will be expired on 2024-04-17. What must have happened is that the domain must have expired since since 2019-04-17 and it takes 45days before any domain can be free for another person to take the possession.

Hence the domain expired on 17th April 2019, that meant it would be available for another person to take over the domain around June 4th and we are now in November 27th 2019.

What must have happened is that the company might try to shortchange the webmaster by not paying him his bill. But presently the bet9ja have changed their domain name to bet9ja2.com and did not forward to any other domain name until now.

It is not possible for any one to pick a domain when exppired but can only pick domain when dropped. The website owner will know as soon as the domain expired because the web will no longer show again as soon as expired. But until 45th days before someone else can take over the domain.

As I said earlier, I checked it 2 days back, and it showed 2024 with those Nameservers I uploaded as proof.

If that domain had expired, it will go in for GoDaddy Auction, and not immediately a sale lander

An insider must have hacked in to Bet9ja GoDaddy account and updated the nameservers to show that for sales landing page,

The inside criminal then called his dumb ass criminal to go and buy the domain, probably at a cheap Price then to cover the crime, the thief that bought it went ahead to share the news to the public so that the crime will be covered...

And note since it is with Godaddy the will just do a push so the date remains what will only be updated is the nameservers, the age of the domain is retained

Don't you know all it takes for us to steal a great domain like phone.com is:

1) check up the registra holding these domain on WHOIS

2) let's say for instance is on Dynadot and I happen to know someone that knows Mike Mann who is the owner of the domain and maybe handles his IT/domain business, all I need do is conive with him and he gets me his login details

3) I login and probably no 2FA activated, I quitely navigate to phone.com and update the nameservers to Dan.com, The Whois will show that it has been updated and is now listed at Dan.

4) before anyone notice I can use another credit card or bring in a 3rd party to buy the domain amd automatically the domain is pushed out of Mike Mann account so easy.

In these criminal case the updated the nameservers via Godaddy that was why the where able to get a screenshot for there criminal proof

Even if their SSL Certificate expired, the effect won't be as devastating as it is.. The site will still run, but some dialogue boxes notifying the guest of risk while using your site will pop up waiting for user response. Asides that, SSL is not that fatal..

I think their cPanel was hacked. When a domain expires, it's not sold off immediately, there's a grace period and multiple reminders come via email reminding you to renew. The point is that, there's still more to the story which only the development team can testify to..

When someone auctions his domain amd set a reserve price, does it mean if it does not hit above reserve price he won't sell it.

For example

Startbid is 1$

Increment is 1$

Reserve price is 2000$

If I place a 1$ startbid and I happen to be the only one, will I get it even though reserve price wasn't met.
