I think the edge European and South American teams have over us is that they seem to produce more creative and technical midfielders than us

Also in European top leagues their midfield products are mostly allowed to fit in where their quality suits more unlike African midfielders that are mostly deployed to take more defensive roles because of our natural agility to cover more ground, physicality and energy then the ones that are naturally creative are likely to be pushed to the flanks/wings

Saw the highlight of Alebiousu against Uganda and for a player making is debut he was solid most especially driving forward with the ball and making attacking runs off the ball

I believe more games will boast his confidence and when that happens we will have another polished and classy RB just like Aina

I also noticed he is bipedal. The NFF should reach out to Sheffield United’s Femi Seriki, both him and Alebiosu will man the RB position for the team for many years to come and many won’t miss Aina whenever he decides to retire from International football

Do you guys not see that like a snake moulting Nigeria is imperceptibly getting it's next generation of players?

A new team is being created right in front of us!
exactly, the likes of Ogbu, Fisayo, Alebiosu, Nnadi, Akor, Fredrick Chiemela, Akinsanmiro, Chrisantus plus those that are uncapped like Nwaiwu, Dennis Anthony, Seriki, Azeez, Otele etc the future looks bright and well taken care of

It’s left for the NFF to get the administration aspect right

Omo, good analysis. But you see that Frank the Tank ehn, he's just suitable because of his bustling energy. There's a way he keeps us buzzing not with sleekness or poise. He's a real bull in that midfield scattering and charging about.

I enjoyed Onyedika tremendously yesterday and I'm torn between him and Onyeka but Onyeka takes it. Ndidi should not be playing full time. Onyedika should take some of Ndidi's time.
Onyeka is a must in our starting 11 especially if the team is facing a tough and superior opposition

Bobo na tank wey fit run 120 mins harassing opponent’s midfield and attackers

🔴🟡 Union Berlin have opened talks with Göztepe for Anthony Dennis. 🗣️⏳

The first €6.5m bid was rejected, with the Turkish club demanding €10m for the Nigerian midfielder. ❌

Leipzig and Werder Bremen are interested too

Union are aiming to close the deal for around €7–8m. 💰

The boys did very well yesterday.

Onyeka is very important to this team.

Ryan should start the Uganda game.Osayi nearly caused us a PK against Gabon. He repeated the same mistake yesterday, gifting Tunisia a PK.

Chelle didn't hesitate to drop Zaidu for Bruno,he should as well do same with Osayi,
since both play for Championship teams.

We should rest Ndidi,Bassey,Osimhen,Lookman and Iwobi.

We need them to stay injury free for the Round of 16.

Chelle's line-up was spot-on, Onyeka and Bruno coming in for both Chukwueze and Zaidu.

The Right-back needs a competent player.Let's see how Ryan fares against Uganda.

Kudos to Chelle, we are into the round of 16.
Seriki of Sheffield United and Alebiosu should be cover to aina not Osayi

Aina self is aging and hv just few years left to retire from the super eagles team

Bomb forward against a Tunisia who was waiting for a fast counter? Abeg o 😂 he did ok jor. Make we accept am like that, he’s not Bassey or Fredrick
the opportunity came several times in the game but he always cut and pass backwards

The Tunisians had no sharp and skillful winger if not osayi for chop sand tire

i wish the SE have a complete defence ... among our best leg in the defence line , only Bassey is injury free .... i will Fredrick and Aina a quick recovery
you don’t even need Fredrick’s for now

Another bloody central defensive combo will be Ogbu and Bassey. Both have this no nonsense approach when on the pitch

Osayi was massive last night. He helped us to keep possession. Sometimes previous errors of players just keep following them. Same with Nwabali apart from that unnecessary tackle when ref has blown his whistle I too don’t understand all the attack on the keeper for that 1st goal conceded, he simply slipped due to the pitch soaked in rain! But previous errors just make him an easy target for any slip up.
he was just better than he was in our first game

He doesn’t bomb forward and was easily turned in and out on 1v1 situations severally against Tunisia

Dude is wack

From a Tunisian fan via X

“ have to say playing against him is genuinely scary and frustrating. Our centre backs aren’t usually this bad, and we rarely struggle this much when defending crosses. But this guy is an absolute monster.

Right now, I genuinely think he has the best box presence in world football. His movement is extremely intelligent, he knows exactly when and where to attack the space, and physically he is on another level. His strength makes it almost impossible to duel with him, his jumping ability is insane, and he always seems to be at the end of every single cross.

With all due respect to Galatasaray, he’s seriously wasting his prime years in Turkey. He deserves a better team in a top league”

Left footed Taribo West ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

Calvin Bassey completed 61 out of 64 passes, created two chances, one big chance, 7/8 accurate long balls, two clearances, and one successive dribble.

Ejuke plays football like a primary school kid, very lazy and weak on the ball. Flair without work rate. Also very selfish.

Simon is past his prime.

Onyeka must always play till the end of the game.

Ryan Alebiosu should get his debut against Uganda. He is a better right back than Osayi.

Nwabali is crazy 🤣🤣🤣😧. Okoye should have been here. Nwabali is injured and out of form. The whistle has gone off, and he tackled the Moroccan player badly. A red card offence. By Meritocracy, it would have been Arthur Okonkwo, Nwabali and Maduka Okoye as goalkeepers in this AFCON.

We miss the services of Ola Aina and Frederick Benjamin. Solid defenders.

Eric Chelle never learns. Poor game management all the time. He did it with Mali and now he is doing it with the Super Eagles.
Why not replace Onyeka with any of Ebenezer Akinsanmiro or Nnamdi?
Salim Fago would have done better than Ejuke in this game.

I expect Eric Chelle to experiment with the backline of Ryan at Right Back, Bassey at Left Back, Ajayi and Igho at Centre Back.
Let's see what other players have to offer against Uganda.
After the game against Uganda, no more room for errors.
the reason I have never been a fan of his

He plays secondary school football

I watched Eric Chelle's Mali play beautiful football at the last Afcon and wondered whether he could replicate it with the Nigerian side and now he's doing it showing that he's a top class coach but unfortunately his weakness of grinding out results has followed him our dear SE, hopefully he sorts that out too
the same mistake cost him against CIV if not Nigeria would hv faced Mali in the finals

His Malian team outplayed CIV till the tail end of that match

I watched that game and felt pity for the Malians that day. Chelle’s tactical carelessness cost Mali that game

Just go to YouTube and watch civ vs Mali afcon semi finals bro after watching you go spit on Chelle’s face

we were leading 3-1, makes no sense collapsing the midfield when the game is about to end. Anyways, thankfully we held on. At a minimum, if removing Onyeka, another midfielder should have been brought in, like Onyedika, Ebenezer or Nnadi.
he just collapsed the midfield with that Onyeka sub

U re already winning comfortably why bring in 2 winger again at once then sacrificing the main dirty worker in your midfield

Una sure say Chelle no dey smoke weed?
