My car has not been idling with the ignition on. It starts and goes off after a while and if it manages not to go off, as soon as i engage the gear and i am about to accelerate the car the engine just goes off. This is really embarrassing for me. If my battery is fully charged after a while it does not have the strength to start the engine again,its finds it hard to start when engine is warm
I use a 1990 BMW 3 series,

Also, i am yet to fix the thermostat, and the car tends to want to overheat.

Your honest responses to this complaints are highly awaited

This tale is for real and currently happening to me.

I wanted a runabout car, i bought it (although seller said it had a minor issue)

I took the car to a mechanic to fix the minor issue which cost me about 50k. That does not sound like a big deal. Upon completion of the rebuilding of the engine, he said the top cylinder was bad and this was causing the car radiator to return water(overheating).
Okay, i agreed to change the top cylinder and he said it will cost 11k but he can get the part from a fellow mechanic for around 5k which i have given him 3k and promised to balance up when he gets the car fixed.

I take full responsibility for not buying a sound car (i bought what i could afford at the moment)

It is one month now and i have still not driven my run around car. Because i am busy Monday thru Friday the mechanic tosses me TERRIBLY and tells me all sorts of stories. He has said my car will be ready by Saturday last week, now he has said its Thursday this week.
I discussed with this guy and to fix back the old one he removed if he does not find the one from his friend and he has refused to fix that back unless he gets the one from his friend.

Im thinking of arresting this guy, it looks like he wants to ground my car.
I am tired!!!

write jamb if u have to,go for post ume tests, it is better off.

just to let you know, even with the fact that i am a full time graduate i still some times consider going to a regular university.

i am going to be very blunt with you here.

i dont know their current session but i graduated from that school

i will suggest that you either go for a part time in the university,full time in the polytechnic.

reason being that they spend more and lack recognition.

just in case you are thinking of how to raise the funds to go to a regular full time school, please think twice as u may do business alongside.

My mechanic has claimed that the cylider of a 2.5 litre engine is scarce.
Ladipo says its 20k. i dont have this kind of money to spend at the moment.

i understand that mechanics who has changed other peoples engines have it as spoil and they sell it for 2k to the aluminium guys.

Ikenna coolant? is it poured in the radiator as well, i am asking this because i pour water directly into the radiator, does that mean that i will pour this coolant directly too? dont get crossed with all these questions o.

i pour water like every two days,will i pour coolant like these too? i think the rust sign is what causes the mechanic to sugest it too.

I got them, that was really helpful.i will ensure that i do that.also my mechanic is sugesting i change the radiator.does this sound like a better option after ringing the engine and changing the top cylinder.please note that i am yet to change the top cylinder, but he confirms that its warped.
