CNG is cheaper than Gas......go and verify my brother the price of compressed natural gas is not same as cooking Gas..and it is the responsibility of the government. Mark my word "Government" not excluding federal, state and local. In thier basic undertaking they ought to do things like this Talking about benefits, will it not be beneficial to the masses? Federal government won't solve all states problems in Nigeria. That is why we have state governors my brother.. Transportation, housing and Basic infrastructures like electricity and water amenities are responsibilities of state government also, that is why the bill for states to start generating electricity themselves was passed sometime last year. Sure, this is where the responsiblness of the governor's themselves comes into play...If these governor's are buying at least 2 every month since last year after the subsidy was removed..the numbers now would have skyrocketed...but they lack the understanding. They must borrow. Blaze14k: |

Here's how Agunyi-Ironsi took over power. - *January 15, 1966 coup:* A group of army officers led by Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu overthrew the central and regional governments of Nigeria, killing the prime minister Tafawa Balewa and trying to take control of the government in a failed coup d'état. - *Aguiyi-Ironsi takes power:* Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, Commander in Chief of the Army, assumed power as Head of the National Military Government. - *Previous head of state:* He took over from Prime Minister Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, who was killed during the January 15, 1966 coup. - *Duration of rule:* Aguiyi-Ironsi ruled from January 16, 1966, until his assassination on July 29, 1966, during a countercoup led by Northern officers. |

Seriously, I am shocked at the negative comments above, there is nothing you can do as a government to please the masses that is Just it, thesame set of people will castigate Buhari and previous government for heavily burrowing.. thesame governor had constructed so many roads and rehabilitated some, paying workers salary that Yahaya bello of kogi state couldn't do for his people despite getting huge bailout from the federal government and borrowing...it is well jogsman01: 1 Like |

Abraham was a prophet married one wife. Corrected by God when he made a mistake with Haggah and the later was ketura after the death of serah Moses was a prophet married one wife, the later wife he took would be after the death of zeporah Samuel was a prophet married one wife, it wasn't recorded how many wife's he had but we all know he obeyed God and was the next God spoke by ear after Moses.. Isaiah was a prophet married one wife with the prophetes...not recorded he had more than one wife.. Jeremiah never married that was also recorded... Ezekiel married one wife and she died in Babylon God told him never to mourn her death, he might have married in future but that was not recorded... I know you can't be referring to David, Solomon etc as prophets.. |

You can inquire with your government or search online for further details. Are you aware of the challenges Dangote faced in getting the refinery operational? Surprisingly, even the federal government seemed reluctant. Why? Because it could potentially disrupt Nigeria's daily barrel volume, with Dangote possibly purchasing a significant portion. It's concerning that Nigeria hasn't shifted its focus from exporting crude to exporting refined products like PMS, Diesel, Engine oil, and jet fuel to earn foreign currency. It reflects a lack of forward-thinking on the part of the government. Microbekorede: |

My brother, leave that guy. This portion of the road was officially handed over to HiTech last month 7th or 6th...and it's to run for like 36month according to the minister...the fact about Nigerians is, if they don't like you, there is nothing you do if it's even right, they won't see it .. because the god of this world have blinded Thier eyes to see the good out of it. Tinubu can't just be evil evil, when he is doing something good let us applaud him. On the land mark issue, the c.e.o said, it won't affect him heard that directly from him on channels... sometimes information is needed and a little search would do, instead of following people medling hate speech up and down... Hey Nairaland fam, Did you catch that video of Mary, the mute woman preaching in the market? It's a wake-up call for us all. We might not agree with her method or understand every word she's saying, but her boldness in sharing the gospel is something we can't ignore. In this world of distractions and superfluous desires, let's not be ashamed to stand up for what we believe in. Mary might not have a voice, but she's speaking louder than most of us. Remember, if we're ashamed of Jesus in this generation, he might just be ashamed of us in the next. Stay bold, stay true. #FaithOverFear #SpreadTheWord" 74 Likes 9 Shares |

Science/Technology / Re: There Is Something More To This National Grid Collapse by CharlesofJesus: 2:36am On Feb 16 |
FG can’t continue to subsidize electricity — Minister of Power. The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, says Nigeria cannot continue to subsidise electricity, adding that the nation must begin to move towards a cost-effective tariff model, as the country is currently indebted to the tune of 1.3 trillion naira to generating companies (GenCos) and 1.3 billion dollars owed gas companies. Adelabu, addressed a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, said only 450 billion naira was budgeted for subsidy this year but the ministry needs over 2 trillion naira for subsidy. He said state governments will now be allowed to generate power independently to supply power to their states. On the grid that has collapsed for about six times between December 2023 and now, he said this was caused by shortage of gas, ageing machines in the grid value chain, low capacity to evacuate generated power, and destruction of power stations in some parts of the North-East geopolitical zone of the country. |
Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Told Me She’s A Water Spirit (mami Water) by CharlesofJesus: 11:57am On Feb 12 |
If you seek the truth, it is crucial to acknowledge that your union might not be with a human, but rather a malevolent spirit—the devil himself. By aligning yourself with this entity, you risk forfeiting your place in the afterlife. Reflect on whether the promises made come at a spiritual cost. I pray for divine intervention to reveal the potential dangers ahead, especially if your partner lacks guidance from parents. Deliverance may be necessary for her, or you might be entering a perilous supernatural encounter with an unfavorable outcome in the end. Remember, the true end is not death itself, but what follows in eternity. 6 Likes |

Science/Technology / There Is Something More To This National Grid Collapse by CharlesofJesus: 12:02am On Feb 05 |
The collapse of a national electricity grid can be caused by various factors, often involving a combination of technical, operational, and external issues. Here are some common causes and I will be marking the ones I think it's related to Nigeria: 1. Overload or Overdemand:✅ When the demand for electricity exceeds the grid's capacity, it can lead to overloading. This may occur during peak usage periods or due to unexpected spikes in demand. 2. Equipment Failures:✅ Mechanical failures, aging infrastructure, or inadequate maintenance of critical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, or power lines can lead to breakdowns. 3.Natural Disasters:❌ Events like earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, or severe storms can damage power infrastructure, disrupt transmission lines, or cause widespread outages. 4. Cyber Attacks:❌ Cybersecurity threats can target the control systems and computer networks that manage the grid. Malicious activities can disrupt operations, leading to a collapse. ,5. Human Error:✅✅ Mistakes made during maintenance, repairs, or operations can compromise the stability of the grid. Incorrect actions, miscommunications, or inadequate training may contribute to failures. 6. Fuel Supply Issues:✅✅✅✅ . If power plants rely on a specific fuel source (e.g., natural gas, coal), disruptions in the supply chain can affect electricity generation. 7. Voltage Instabilities: Fluctuations or imbalances in voltage levels within the grid can lead to instability. Voltage issues may result from sudden changes in load or insufficient regulation. 8. Lack of Redundancy: ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ Inadequate backup systems or insufficient redundancy in the grid's design can make it vulnerable to failures. Redundancy is crucial for maintaining power supply in case of component failures. 9.Inadequate Planning and Investment:✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ Insufficient planning, underinvestment in grid infrastructure, and delayed upgrades can contribute to vulnerabilities and increase the risk of a collapse. 10. Corruption, Political and Economic Factors: ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ Instabilities in government, regulatory issues, economic challenges, or lack of investment in the energy sector can impact the resilience and reliability of the electricity grid. It's important to note that a combination of these factors can amplify the risk of a grid collapse. Power systems are complex, and efforts to enhance resilience, improve infrastructure, and implement effective cybersecurity measures are crucial in preventing and mitigating such events. But for Nigeria, The frequency of this collapse is getting too much, there is something fishy...Some ground of persons are always smiling to the bank anytime this happen. 1 Like
