I understand how you feel, I've been waiting since February and there's a friend who also applied within same period & still waiting. However, I got a recent mail that my application was completed on 26Aug and another mail requesting to submit my passport to be re-issued a 90day Entry clearance vignette. I've submitted but yet to receive my passport as timescale for PP return isn't defined.

Just distract yourself as much as possible.

It will definitely end in praise.

Thehilah4jesus:
The wait for has been very traumatizing for me and the only thing that can make me less anxious is hearing spouse visa applicants in Nigeria beginning to get response to their visa applications. Please if anyone who applied this year has gotten approved in the last 2weeks kindly share here. Thank you

Kinpelz:
Not yet. I am already tired of waiting and very angry with entire process but there is nothing I can do.

I wrote them a complaint and they responded with the below. I also got same email that my application has been referred to colleagues...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your email correspondence of 6 August where you have raised a complaint stating that you submitted your visa application on 16 February and were told a decision had been made, when you contacted the Decision-Making Centre on 6 April, but you have still yet to receive your passport.

I am unable to uphold your complaint.

The Sheffield Visa Team have advised that a decision on your application was completed and notified to colleagues at the British Deputy High Commission (BDHC) in Lagos, in March. Regrettably, however, they were unable to release the decision to you, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, and have now asked to be sent a newly-dated decision.

Unfortunately, as the application is over 90 days old, it is likely that the decision will need to be printed within our UK office and sent securely to BDHC Lagos.

I regret that I am, therefore, unable to provide any timescale for the return of your passport and decision.

Whilst I appreciate that this is not the response you had hoped for, I trust it has helped to clarify the situation

Many thanks Kinpelz for the update, though it's frustrating, I'm relieved cos same must have applied to me. Let's believe God and keep hope alive...It will turn out for our good. You can also have your spouse nudge UKVI through her MP, I understand this works.

Please stay in touch.

Cheers

Picked up my passport last week Thursday

Hi Nonso, i received a mail from Sheffied Escalation that a decision has been made on my application since 9th June but i've got any feedback yet and my biometrics was done 14th February. Is there any reason for the delay?

Kinpelz:
Good to hear. The last time I heard from them makes me wonder how long it will now take to conclude an application. A decision was made on mine since early April.

Hi Kinpelz, have you received any update on spouse application i.e UKVI or TLS correspondence?

Just got a mail now that my passport is ready for collection. Hoping for the best

Thanks all for the information & insights. I've been greatly encouraged with the various comments.

Does anyone have update on spouse visa?

Here's my application history.......

Application type: *Spouse visa (STANDARD)*

Online application submitted: *17th January 2020*

Biometrics enrolled: *14th February 2020*

Biometrics confirmation mail from VISAINFO.SHEFO on *17th February 2020*

In Wk17, precisely *9th June 2020*, we sent enquiry status on application

Received email from UKVI Contact Centre Service on *11th June 2020*
that "*decision
has been made but due to COVID-19 situation, various UK and overseas
offices are closed and as such, delays may be incurred*".

In Wk23, precisely *24th July 2020*, I forwarded another enquiry mail.

Response from UKVI contact centre service on 3rd August 2020 that *"we have
referred your application to colleagues on the relevant team and asked that
they look into having your documents returned to you as soon as possible"*

Still waiting....the wait is nerve wrecking!
