I have a story to tell about a tortoise. This Tortoise, though small and slow, was the cleverest and the most greedy creature in the whole land. He wasn't happy just owning all the finest and even controlling the major city in his community with his pawns in key areas; he wanted to own your very breath! The name of this tortoise is Iroko. Iroko looked at the poor farmers and market women and said, "You all look too happy! I think you should give me a new, heavier tax!" So he made the government start over-taxing every single person, even on the smallest things they bought. His most famous big trick, though, was the one he played with Petrol. He had earlier made his predecessors the Minister of Petrol in the animal kingdom because he had plans of chairing that seat someday so it won't look new when he came. Listen closely: The Tortoise's own community has the biggest pond of petrol in the whole village! But he stands up and says, "Oh, my people, we must import this fuel from far away because we don't have enough!" Yet, the truth, whispered by the wind, is that he has a big, secret factory—a refinery—in a place called Maltarata. Let's call it Malta for short. The wicked Tortoise takes the petrol from his community's pond at a very, very cheap price, sends it to his own factory in Malta, cleans it up, and then sells it back to the community at a very high price! He then snatched the fuel money—the Subsidy—away, claiming the cost was too much for the village to bear. The cost of everything shot to the moon! He promised to show everyone the big pile of money he saved, but that money has simply disappeared, leaving no accountability at all. Should we blame the rat? Or the pigs? Where are the cows? Just like the many whispers about his own great wealth, which has no honest beginning, only old tales of corruption and big money bags forfeited in a foreign court long ago. And when it was time for the whole land to pick a new ruler, the Tortoise, using his long, clever neck, worked a kind of rigging so smart it was foolish, ensuring his own children and friends got the best roles? The villagers demanded for accountability. But he asked them if they will eat statistics..."na statistics we go chop?" And since then, nothing happened to the tortoise. Every good thing that could ever happen went into oblivion because Lucifer was cast into the earth. What did you learn from this tales by moonlight?

Tinubu is the father of division. He never believed in one Nigeria. But somehow, he's jailing someone else who shares his view to show might and superiority. |
There was enough space for Jack on the floater but Delilah chose to lie down and cover it all.. Or probably, I'm toxic.

My biggest problem with politicians are not the politicians. It's the sycophants who surround them. |
Ikemba007:That's a very big point. If I remembered this, I would have given him a Nobel prize for political prostitution. |
Shawarmagirl:There's still land dear...but you are right in a way because the land available is not the one close to the main road. It's those inside. |
That means that the people who claim to own Lagos today are not even from Lagos! |
Africans are truly what the west depict them as. |
RushManni:I don't really know the exact location but I know it's around the Nsulu axis. I mean, the ins and outs of that location. I was in Abia some weeks ago and it was all talks about that area...coupled with the fact that work is ongoing there too. Kindly still search online to get the full names of the village to be certain. |

It's true. He didn't lie. He's never lied. He says elections are better now, and who are we to question the word of a man whose own election history is so famously... controversial? We must clap for his great ability to focus on "improvement" while ignoring the small distractions of his job. Let us cheer for the sheer power he has to dismiss so easily all the serious accusations flying around: 1. He had to defend himself against claims by not one, but two women—Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Joy Nunieh. Imagine the energy! He was the judge of his own case. 2. Let's not forget the old, boring EFCC investigations into how money was spent when he was Governor and in the NDDC. Small matters! 3. His name is always popping up in stories about threats and political games, yet he is still the Senate boss. Unstoppable! Honestly, his dedication to the national assembly is so powerful that it makes all those little, tiny accusations of misconduct and financial uncommon-ness just disappear. A true leader! Give the man a medal for ...always maintaining and servicing his P Ē N I S....sorry, I mean, maintaining his seat!

AngelSlay:Facebook also generates money... if engaged properly. |
Ontarioo:You wan achieve idea wey I go find? |
Seun:Since I was the one who noticed it, let me handle it then. But that will mean sifting trendy topics that trigger engagement from Nairaland, reposting and building that space so that subscribers cannot wait for a new post. With time, monetisation sets in and the company can also earn there too. I mean, I see what Instablog does with their handler there! |
