Sports / Chelsea All Player Salaries 2018 [contract Details & Wages] by cheapgoals(m): 6:43pm On Feb 04, 2018
What are the player's salaries? Have you ever thought of finding out on which Chelsea players are the highest paid? Well, sit tight and let's take a ride.

Chelsea may have lessened their wage structure with the summer departure of Nemanja Matic, John Terry and Diego Costa and some other periphery players who were all on enormous weekly wages.

The Blue's wage bills still lurk around £224m (third highest in the Premier League behind the Manchester clubs). The Stamford Bridge outfit has spent carefully and their total net spend has been fantastic because of auctioning off deadwood or a portion of the youth players who were on Chelsea books for a long while.

Sports / CHAN Final: Salisu Yusuf Highly Optimistic About Making History by cheapgoals(m): 10:54am On Feb 04, 2018
The home-based Super Eagles are optimistic they can go all the way and make history by winning a first-ever CHAN trophy for Nigeria tonight against the tournament host Morocco in Casablanca.

Eagles head coach Salisu Yusuf has guided the team through a dramatic qualification to the final phase of the competition as they set to clash with the home team in the chase for international magnificence.

Salisu said they are prepared to fight despite the fact that the Atlas Lions will have a stuffed Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca unequivocally behind them.

“We know they have great players who are strong in the air and we will devise a way to stop them.

“We have some injuries like (Ikechukwu) Ezenwa and (Sunday) Faleye, but I believe all the other players have shown they are ready if given the opportunity.

“We want to win because we deserve to be here.”

Ezenwa will miss the Final due to a knee injury, but the coach is hopeful and insists that even in the captain's absence the considerable solidarity the Eagles have shown in Morocco will again see them through.

“In football, you need team spirit, which we have and so even my absence will not affect the team as my deputy (Dele Ajiboye) has done well in the semi-final against Sudan.

“It’s going to be a big Final and we’re confident we will win the trophy.”

U can't blame City, d market is so inflated ryt now, no thanks to d Neymar deal by PSG.. We all know if a normal Arsenal would not pay more than 20 player on any one player but in dis transfer window alone dey have had to break their transfer records twice .. Arsenal have spent more than 100million on attack in one window alone, more than Wenger has spent on d same attack in all his years as an Arsenal coach

What happen to financial fair play ? According to UEFA, FFP is basically about improving the overall financial health of European club football.

Seriously it all doom for football, players don't have that passion anymore as wages and transfer fees spiraled upwards as a result of enormous money flowing into the beautiful game.

Such is the resentment towards players earning huge wages but failing to deliver on the pitch and managers are facing criticism from the fans, players and club owners.

His daily release from the hardships of poverty was to play football barefoot on mud-covered streets – thankfully something he excelled at.

Humberto: ‘His poor background is what makes him so hungry to succeed on the pitch. He knows how lucky he is to be where he is and never forgets where he comes from.

‘If Alexis wasn’t a footballer he would be working in the mines like most men around here. It’s a very tough life for 300,000 pesos (£314) a month. Growing up around here Alexis had three options – mining, fishing or football.’

Having experienced childhood in wretched neediness and not knowing where the next piece of bread would come from he made his first strides towards honoring the promise he made to his mom when joining Serie A side Udinese in 2006. Spells on loan at Colo-Colo and River Plate allowed him to sparkle in South America before leaving for Europe in 2008.

So he moved toward becoming El Nino Maravilla,” said Jaime Cortes, the columnist who coined Sanchez’s moniker on his full debut.

In an interview with The Sun Sanchez’s brother, Humberto revealed Alexis’s journey from his impoverished upbringing and earning a living on the streets at the age of six to a football star.

Humberto said: ‘Alexis had nothing when growing up. He had to fight for everything he has.

‘We were the poorest of the poor so Alexis had to earn money any way he could from a very young age.

‘He would wash cars for a few pence or perform somersaults for a handful of coins from onlookers. He was like a little gymnast, hurling himself all over the place.

‘The neighbours would give him a few coins for entertaining them. Sometimes he was so hungry he would knock on neighbours’ doors and ask for bread. They would always gibe him what they had to spare. On occasions Alexis would box in the street for entertainment.’

Totally negligent of the unsettling surroundings of a place nicknamed ‘The Devil’s Corner’, but that never stop Alexis dreams.

Alexis made a promise to his mom before owning his first set of boots. “I am going to be one of the best players in the world,” Martina heard that word over and over. She worked day and nights in Tocopilla as a launderette and a fishmonger, and she soon started to witness Alexis’s meteoric ascent to stardom as he sidestepped each snag that came his way on the path to success.

Alexis said in 2013: “I’d say to my mum, ‘Don’t stress, I’ll be a footballer and everything will work out – we’ll have that money‘

At 8 years old, Alexis joined a local club Araujo, where he was given his first pair of studded boots by the mayor of Tocopilla. Before turning 10, he was at that point his family breadwinner when he started to wash cars in Tocopilla burial ground. Alexis saved up the little tips he earns from the most affluent clients who trusted him to wash their vehicles.

On the football pitch, his game was brimming with a class from an early age, and he steadily forged the legend of the ‘Niño Maravilla’, which actually interprets as ‘The Wonder Child‘.
