My source also confirmed this from the town hall.

doncity037:
From a reliable source... seen it's over!

"Sadly on Tuesday during our office Town Hall meeting with the ES and all Management and staff of NCDMB, he announced to us that the recruitment exercise has been cancelled by the Federal Character Commission because of irregularities. And he does not know when they will be given approval for another recruitment".

False

Ufuoma90:
I was reliably informed yesterday that this recruitment process is just a hoax and people were already employed even before the advertisement was made online.

The informant made it clear that it is a finished process already and the host community had to protest before they were given positions such as security guards, cleaners and the likes...

Pls, DO NOT ask me my source.

Please, can the trusted informants on this platform verify or dismiss this information?

Fever don enter my body as I type but I'm trying so hard not to believe the above information.

Can somebody reliable please tell me it's not true?

Thanks.

I AGREE! Not with the exact words used. It'd be great if we can keep this thread useful with really important things. NL doesn't pay for additional pages or threads. A lot of unnecessary conversations and arguments here IMO.

We should all wait for the next phase and hope for the best.

The mails would roll out whenever they would roll out, you'd get it if it is meant for you. YOU CAN'T MAKE THE MAILS COME ANY EARLIER!
Knowing when it would come out doesn't necessarily change the outcome. Feels like most of you want to see the future. It's a great role certainly, it'd turn things around for you (definitely and that's the prayer). But patiently waiting is not a bad thing. It's okay if the thread stays silent through Easter and comes alive when there is USEFUL information. People actually come to check this thread for USEFUL information, so it's sad when you go through and you see nothing helpful at all. And even the USEFUL info is hard to find because of unnecessary convos.

Have a great weekend ya'll.

This got to be the most immature job thread on nairaland. Very lousy set of people yuk!!! Pages will be increasing and you will be thinking there is a meaningful info but only to see two fighting up and down. Mtceew!!!

There would be interviews. Review of uploaded documents starts Monday as deadline for submission is today. Team in PH for the review.
2.1 has been stated as minimum requirement or 2.2 with masters. Even though anything is possible cheesy. Mails would come once review is done. All the best.

Well they stated clearly that once you do that, there's nothing you can do to upload anything. So a mail might not make a difference. Hopefully they'd request for it later

I think he has clicked final submission..

Not if he has clicked final submission. If he has not he can delete and reupload. I had similar issues (though uploaded wrong document). I removed and re-uploaded.

ennyj01:

Lmao grin
Which can suggestion be this?!

Person weh don submit already

Immediately he deletes all the documents, that's the end because he will be left with no ducment and he won't be able to upload any one.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by cheifdaddy: 9:51am On Feb 27, 2021
If you had 2.2 , the forms area won't let you upload documents but in the last part of the "Edit Profile" section you get to upload all documents including degree. I'd advise you skip the "Select degree" section for obvious reasons and upload same degree with all other required documents. You can still submit. (HND should take same step)

Don't forget to rename the files as requested and remember it's expected in pdf except passport photograph I think.

Most importantly click "Final Submission" when you are done. Filling and uploading doesn't mean you have actually submitted.

Deadline 28th. Good luck to all who got mails and best wishes to those who did not.

What is so difficult in shortlisting the percentage they need and moving ahead with the process?
Or are they trying to use us to perfect their testing skills

A third test is possible but may be shelved if they get the number required from last test. When they access general performance of last test, they'd determine. Like I said before, NO INTERVIEW. They'd keep testing until that number is gotten. With any other criteria...particularly role applied for and general performance of people in each category. I don't know total candidates who applied, Testmi has that data. I know how many they need (I'm not permitted to say), but it's not so much. That's all I can say. As for quota system, I can't say. General performance in second test wasn't as great as first test however. #FingersCrossed

Salary is certainly not up to 800k or 600k not even for EH (maybe if you are management level). Upfront is sizeable (in millions), 32 days leave in a year, 13th month (same as monthly salary). Health, Car Loan and you qualify for housing loan after some years.

ES is particular about merit based recruitment as much as possible, letters may fly but difficult to rely on that only, you actually have to do well (by their standard) in tests, despite the way Testmi is running the tests sadly.

We should all chill.
It's not a do or die affair. Keep pushing with whatever it is you do for a living. Speculations would not help anyone.
At this rate people here would get APL and would not post it because of some reactions here. Virtual exams would always have their challenges as it's mostly a new thing in this part of the world. It's a good thing they did not suspend the recruitment till after the pandemic (that seems unending). A lot of challenges encountered. Lots of new job opportunities come up daily, keep applying.. oil and gas job isn't the only well paying job.

Sadly some of us had low scores, others really high scores, some of us average. Some did better in first test than in second and others the other way round. No one knows the criteria. Patience is a virtue.
Let us wait and quit speculating. That way this thread serves the purpose for its creation. Vital and key information only.
And prevent NL from deleting this thread.

It's tiring when you refresh the thread and there's no new info. but insults and avoidable arguments.

For those who use their personal mail for NL, recruiters follow threads like this. THIS IS NOT A CLOSED ROOM.
Posting your phone numbers and email addresses can be counterproductive. (Just a side note). #anonymousIsBetter

Pray, hope, use your destiny helper (if you have to or want to), use your connect if you have one and you feel you need one. Whatever your belief system...do what makes you happy. Let's keep this thread active and lively and important for the purpose. In the end when we get APLs (Appointment Letters that is...cos person go soon ask wetin be APL grin ) we'd introduce ourselves at the Content Tower with our NL usernames. smiley

Wish everyone of us the very best. #StaySafe #StayPositive

Try using the very first default password sent by Testmi. That should work. Then change password. Even if you did not get sms.

Use Chrome Web Browser

It won't hurt to wait and get feedback from the organization you know right? Speculations and hoping on information from "reliable source(s)" is just unnecessary anxiety in my own opinion. Be PATIENT and wait. Hope for the best. If their info checks out, fine. If it doesn't, fine!

Don't get worked up. Carry on with your life until your attention is genuinely needed. Don't fight, you might end up being colleagues.

I feel you though.

I'm guessing that's why they have the quota bit.
And all that soft and hard skills gist filled on the oil and gas site. Then there's the attention to CV content. Honestly some people who score high in test might not do so well at interview too (if they have one). At this point we just have to hope the process is as fair as possible. Like you pointed out, interviewing doesn't guarantee you anything either.

But the fact most people got invited to write the exam in the first place is a good sign, so maybe the benefit of doubt as the process goes on.

The only unfair part in my own opinion is the way the testmi guys handled the test. Messed up a lot of people's eventual performance. That's the sad part..

Every other thing is just "sourced". After all is said and done we'd see how it goes and hopefully most people come back to this thread to share pictures of their employment letters.

ennyj01:

I want to get something straight, if the recruitment goes that route without interview, it will definitely not be merit based anymore.

My reasons:

How many do they wanna employ?
Imagine for engineering GT, like 10k people met the recruitment that was advertised during the advert.

From the 10k people, 3k scored above 60%, so tell me, how will the selection take place because it will be damn hard choosing guys since people that passed are much for the role.

Unless someone can explain how they intend picking successful candidates without interview and the explanation should be logical enough. Without that, I don't think it will be possible to select without interview..

The moment they scrap interview connection will be a very big factor.

It won't take anything to formulate test result. Even when they do interview and test, they still formulate results for people that were absent, now imagine in cases like this.

Lobbying is generally a part of recruitment over the world.

There's a difference between lobbying and bribery . So those who have letters from politicians, by all means lobby.

Those who want to pay: high risk. (No judgement)

Those who don't have any of the above would certainly have a shot too, as long as they meet whatever requirements.

Note the organization places a high value on qualified people as staff, letter or no letter.

This implies merit based recruitment and certainly those with connect (if we're not kidding ourselves). But mostly merit based.

CV (experience level, course of study etc), score in test + states and quota. Interview is highly unlikely.

Again I wish y'all the best.

*Pay anyone at your own risk. They need you people hence the recruitment, a lot of positions to fill. Stay positive, pray and hope for the best.
