How much does a filling cost (less than #5,000!) when you already have a Lawyer on ground?

And to think that you are the complainant/plaintiff and Dangote will be the defendant, worse case, they will "settle you out of court", knowing that they have no case. You get paid, your Lawyer also gets paid.

But when everyone is even afraid to 'make a move', even when it is obvious they cannot lose, how then will their rights not get trampled upon and their abusers get away with it?
Ordinary people are too concerned with daily bread, even when that daily bread is unjustly taken away from them, they will still say "let me look for another one, that one is taken away (there is always a ready-made excuse, not to fight for their rights) .... instead of fighting to get it back!

As a business owner too I understand this is wher signed contracts come into play.

Is there a clause in there somewhere that says

“Seller retains the right to adjust price on merchandise that hasn’t been loaded”

We don’t know because we haven’t seen the contract.

Maybe they haven’t bagged the cement yet and the price took effect at a certain timeframe.

increase of building materials in 2018 start with Sand Miner's follow by Granite Miner's then others follow suit, now the big one Cement manufacturer add N50 to their product yesterday cement now sell for N2,580-2,600/bag. After all these my fear is iron rod this is the most annoying materials its method careless may add N500 or above. God help us

Personally I think it's to do with increase in demand due to visits from diaspora people coupled with low production during the holidays.

Unfortunately for me it's during the holidays that I have time and there is no storage space.

Increases in prices cannot be applied retroactively so they cant ask him to pay the new price since he paid under the old price regime. Increase in prices ought to ve an effective date and regular customers ought to be informed..Under normal circumstances he will simply approach the consumer protection agency and the company will be called to order..it wont even happen in the first place..


The way and manner we do biz in Nigeria is sickening to say the least...we wont move an inch forward like this

It is called a 'breach of agreement/contract' but l am sure if l aske you to contact ur Lawyer to press for compensation due to loss incured (current and future), you will probably laugh at me and say 'this is Nigeria, it cant work'.

Its all about CONTRACT : Dangote OFFERED to Sell, Chekitaut ACCEPTED to buy..... and a CONSIDERATION (money) was 'given and taken' to seal the Contract.

Any unilateral revocation of such a binding contract, by any of the parties involved, is a violation of the contract and the affected party can sue for loss/damages and compensation.

Caveat: Unless the T & C of such contract (clause) expressly say they can do as alleged, and you signed-on to such clause.

But then, wetin l sabi sef.

Thanks nothing of such is in the term and condition. i am thinking of selling the ATC to any interested person i am going for Lafarge. My lawyer sef weak says legal section is expensive with people like Dangote.
