I am not about whether he was dragged into the conversation or whether the did a job for the person complaining, l am about how he responded, in a charged situation.
That is where your Character comes-in, as someone who renders service to others for a living.
There are many, many Service Providers here, who have been in the same position as he is, but they did not react the way he did.
He can still make his point, rebuff the 'attack' on his person (if that is the way he sees it), while still maintaining a high level of courtesy and decorum.
I remember that @Chekitaut has been called out the same way, about six years ago and he was the first person who show-cased the different tricks of Sand/Granite suppliers, and he keeps doing so. (Yoodi, Ashewo, Tanshee, etc ).
If you are an authority in a certain line of business, it is expected that when issues of integrity are raised in your line of business, you will rise-up to the occasion and speak out, clearly enlighten people about how they can navigate the various tricks, not insult them because you are angry.

I dont want to mention names but do you think someone like @gbadexy would have called one of us here "Eeleribu", jus because he was dragged or drawn?
Other providers who have done same include the Cable seller (AlCopacetic, not heard of him for some time now, Rotech has done it, Endiasami has done it, etc )

Like l said, the True Character of a person is not known, until they are in one of those situations that would either bring out the beast in them or the Angel in them.

Lemme ask a trivia question;

Seeing that your prediction on cement prices continuing to rise has been correct, what's the price trend with iron rods? I think it's been fairly constant and may stay constant or even come down. Agree?

For example, if one wants to put say ~N2m+ to stock materials right now for concrete work planned to happen around 2-3 wks time, should we load up on cement or rods? Don't want to split, so either of the two to get bulk purchase rates.

Cement within Lekki - Ajah an environs remain ₦3,300, Ironn Rod TMT is ₦285k, Tiget is ₦300k, Local is ₦255k.

Advance payment without pick up will be dangerous because if price change you will be told to pay difference, but if price reduce no refund.

Just carry on normal routine construction works.

As you pay for good pick up & stock in site get security. The only fear now is on Cement, if Dangote increase then price will still go up.

If CBN devaluation come up soon by next year another increment will also come.

Hence, for price to come down not visible.

Let me first admit I don't know too much about finance and investment but I have been forced to learn by myself on how to manage my own assets and money. With that been said, I will never invest my money in Naija TBills, stock market or real estate for that matter . I'm sorry but the economy practices and instability in the country doesn't fill me with any confidence.

In regards to real estate investments in the country, I'm willing to bet the majority of them lose money when intricate number crunching and adjustments are made. Yes, you're right that domain knowledge might mitigate these risks to turn a profit but only very few shrewd and prudent (or lucky with inheritance or government lobbying) will make money. The lack of verifiable data is also one big problem to making educated investment in the country as opposed to the slew of anecdotes I have seen people making here. Sorry, I can't take all these stories of "my clients, my neighbor or the alhaji down the street" seriously. I need verifiable data and if the shambles that is the naira is anything to go by then I'd rather invest in somewhere else.

Take for example, average exchange rate usd-naira in 2010 was 122 naira to 1 USD (source: https://www.exchangerates.org.uk/USD-NGN-spot-exchange-rates-history-2010.html). Today it's 470 naira to 1 USD. If you had 100k USD in a low cost index fund like the VTSAX or VFIAX from 2010 to 2020, you're looking at 6% annual return (adjusted for inflation) compounding to $179,084.76. Yes, it does comes with its own risk which can be minimized with diversification but the potential return will be lower. The advantage is you don't have to do anything. Just leave the money there, you don't have to worry about tenants, repairs, omo onile etc. And your money will be in a strong stable currency.
Land bought in 2010 for 12.2 million naira (100k USD) can become what in 2020? 45 million or 50 million which is sadly still 100k USD today. Yes, location and domain knowledge matter but I'd rather just take the trusted and easy route.

N2,500,000 Terrace duplexes are far inside and in areas with fewer development/bad roads.

This is my 11th year as an author on the NPC website.

Crack heads don’t exist in some areas. Some people will pay anything to rent a flat in some areas in Lekki.

In the same area, you’ll still see people struggling to get tenants. Well, life no balance though.

My friend who invested in 18 unit 2 bed and mini flats in the same area has recouped his investment too. He invested 160m and made 180m in the first 5 years.

I think the ignorant ones are those that don't differentiate the forecasted growth rate of the different locations thereby comparing apples with oranges. IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT and you buy swampy land in a fast developing or already developed island location, then your ROI and payback tenure are incomparable to what obtains on your mainland dry land.

I think majority knows this and it has been discussed here many times, yet folks still try to critisize those choices. It's a different market for different type of investors/people.

its not ignorant, source of fund, family isolation, put many to such areas majority prefer an estate property so family will not come disturbing, many of this properties are taking care by lawyers family hardly know about it.
