Personally, I think all these issues are as a result of gross incompetence in the part of the visa appointment team.

There is no issue that can't be resolved.

If they are overwhelmed, let them employ more competent people to handle this business.

I don't think they will try this in the US.

They are pretty much aware that Nigerians has no choice.

How can someone fast and pray to apply for visa and still fast and pray to get appointment date and on top of that there is still the possibility of getting denied. Aaaaah!

The avits software is totally rubbish. Poor design, poor UI/Ux.

It can't just successful perform the simple taste it was created for. And they are doing nothing about it.

If it's not working or serving the purpose, let them take it down!

The engineer/developer ought to be arrested.
The customer service, again dead!

You create ticket, you are not even sure if it will be responded or attended to.

We the visa applicants shouldn't suffer these. They are not our fault.

But we are Nigerians, we can afford to be paying servis/visa fee as long as we want, because we have no choice. And we don't even have a voice.

Hello ,for ur information, it is not only affecting nigeria alone..if u visit reddit you will see how other country complain about the error we too are complaining..

I had a chat with them two days ago and a lady responded (I was able to know by her name) and said I must wait and ended the chat while I was still communicating with her and I messaged again yesterday and a guy responded nicely and said I should send ticket and he would forward my details to the team but nothing was done on that day and I reached out today in the morning and a guy apologised for the delay and also promised to send my details to the team and I should create another ticket and I should be expecting an email soon. Still no approval yet. I messaged again after some hours in the afternoon and a guy whom I thought was having a bad day responded and didn't show any interest of helping and he reluctantly said he would only help by forwarding my details to his supervisor and stayed on the chat for almost 30 mins or more without responding to my messages and later ended the chat.
Please, what do you think I should do and how many times did you chat them before your approval?

Good morning, I really know how u are feeling about the delay of the pre approval request ,what I can say is just keep chatin them,most especially put it into prayer .I can't really say if it is the chatin or email that serve as a catalyst to my approval....

Yes, I read your post and the DS-160 AA00E....saga which was seamless for us when it was time to submit.
Definitely, God.I wish you all the best in your interview. Pls try not to cram answers or rehearse questions that you feel the VO may ask.
Just dress nicely, be confident, practise with Argo & the rest Youtube videos. Calm your nerves even if others are being denied and relax to be able to hear and understand the questions posed at you. Many applicants don/t get to hear the questions and understand well b4 answering, they just remember their own rehearsed questions and answers which ultimately shows and leads to a denial.
In all, may the favor of God go with you.
N.B. Denial is not the end of dreams, but a bend in your journey which will ultimtely work together in your favor if you trust for God's best.

MRV Payment was successfully done at First bank on the 21st Nov. which was a Thursday,( after trying to pay with different U.S cards and even Nigeria dollar cards on Wednesday) and were moved to Pre-approval stage on Friday, 22nd. Been stuck there since, despite raising tickets, chatting and calling both embassy and Avits staff, uploading all documents as well as Sevis receipts.

@Chemist4Life, been following the same proceedures with you and yet still at Pre-approval stage....well, as you said, plenty prayers needed right now. It must end in Praise.

I Don dey contemplate of chosing Abuja and pay another visa fee but as God will have it ,It was have approved

My brother, I can't say if na the email or chatting or raising tickets do the magic oooo...I sha no say ,na God....i was also stuck at invalid ds-160 confirmation number for like a week but was tru on 20th and I paid visa fee on the 21st around 4am and it was confirmed immediately

Raised tickets, chatted, called, uploaded docs and still awaiting their approval. Resumption date is on the 8th of January for my F1.

Good afternoon, pls is there anyone here who filled their DS-160 form after Nov 21st that has scaled through F1 application? Probably at the payment phase or preapproval? I'd also like to know if your DS-160 confirmation number started with "AA00E....".

I have been having issues since the above date and have not gotten any headway despite chatting, calling and raising a ticket. I just finished chatting with a customer support and he said it's been resolved. I tried filling another DS-160 form as he advised yet same issue. My intended date of travel is Dec 22nd. I'm thinking of cancelling the appointment request and starting all over again. Pls, will that help? Has anyone been in this position?

Hi @jone ...I also encountered the invalid ds160 confirmation number but I was able to scale tru the stage to the extent of getting a date ...just back it up with prayer

What I know is that credit card is fast ,but I don't if UK credit card can work for it

Raise a ticket about the error....so you are yet to reach preapproval request stage

I am an F1 visa applicant,i was accepted into spring 2025 academic program to study *****, United States..the start date on my 1-20 is 13th january 2025 , howverber, i will be needed to be in school as early as the 5th of january for there will be an orientation program for graduate students but I have been experiencing difficulties while trying to schedule an appointment on AVITS. I have paid the mrv and sevis fees and i'm currently in the pre-approval stage.
