@ bolded.......you see why I tend to call your ilk, mischievous? Are you trying to suggest you are not aware how yorubas play opposition in the 1st republic whilst your myopic,
greedy leaders were busy sucking up to the north
in the NPC/NCNC alliance?

Are you also ignorant of the political permutations in the 2nd republic wherein, yorubas were in opposition whilst your elite were once again were in bed with north as the "beautiful bride from the east"? This was after the way and manners the north slaughtered your people prior to and during the civil war, that ensued.

Children like you needs to read history without sentiments.
Since 1914, I have hardly seen a good alliance of the North & the SE. The SE has been straight up with its stance on some issues about the North, that even Tafawa Balewa openly insisted he will never employ the Igbos, this was before the war(you're limited in knowledge here to know the Igbos & Hausas are like oil and water since day 1). Oga, how was that an alliance.
This isnt to say the Igbos hate the Hausas or that the Hausas are bad but the ways of the Hausas are so different to ours. We Igbos are naturally parliamentary in nature than the autocratic ways of the North(we dont worship our elites even like the Yorubas do too. The Hausas demand respect from theYorubas which they get, then the Hausas & Yorubas demand respect fro the Igbos and dont get it; this is the genesis of the fight in this country).
Zik is a nationalist unlike Ojukwu who is first Igbo before Nigerian and this is why the Igbos hardly revered Zik cos he was always politically unaware of his environment.

K let's see it this way
1, security: insurgency in the northeast has been on the decline and I can categorically tell you this as a barrack boy, and am exposed to firsthand information. The deathtoll has dropped drastically and we now have soldiers going in and out of maduguri on a regular.
The fear factor of ones parent going there has loosen up so you should check up your facts on this not speculation..

2, Employment: in the side of govt, I believe you are now hearing about custom, immigration, civil defence e.t.c and the application form is free.
From 2013 to 2016 there was no recruitment into the NPF but since then more than 20k individuals has been recruited by APC.

3, Curroption: baba is also guilty of that I must admit

4, accountability: no first hand information available to me on that

5, Unity: sectionalist?? In what way pls elucidate with reasonable facts..
If you say you are currently a barrack boy with first hand info, I agree with you then. But same soldier who told me GEJ was a mess said same thing about this govt and I have met his colleagues who also told me same thing.
From the outside view, girls were abducted before and after PMB; so what's the difference?
On your 3rd point, employment is on radical decline more now since 1990 till date.
Yeah, the govt did well with these recruitments but mind you there were lots of scams especially with the juicy ones at NNPC & co.
I also got a job at NLNG (as they were in collaboration with govt to create more plants) during GEJ but later resigned for another calling.
And yes, PMB isnt a nationalist. Inas much as I agree, every office holder should fix people he trust more who will do well than people they dont know, PMB has so been selfish with his appointments. OBJ appointed an Igbo man INEC chairman, GEJ Northerner, PMB Northerner. And recently, I make bold to say he has shown openly he doesnt care by his appointments.

u always think its all about bragging right or I knew it from onset.
you hyperflate the situation when it suites you.
every govt has it hooks and crannies and sowores case is a good example of one.
we all condemned the sowore case but that doesn't justify your opinion that you warned us.
the CJN was represented and in my own opinion we should fact check before running into conclusion.
this was the same thing that happened during the police exam some years back when the media went into frenzy that they want to islamise the country because Arabic was used as a subject without fact checking.
as much as we've condemn buhari when he's flawed, when have you praised him when he tried??
When boko haram is down, u claim its because they are buharis brother but when they strike your types are the quickest to celebrate.
no wonder ffk and the likes toss u guys like fools and its the same reason the media keeps sugerquoting every post to suit your taste, they are after money after all.
See bro you ain't being factual and dont see my points as being proGEJ cos that guy was clueless too.
However, in plain words let's examine this administration.
I voted PMB in 2015 and truly I never ever imagined the man is so selfish & incapable.
1. Security: with all the hype, he promised to end terrorism in 3months. I also criticized GEJ on this that I believed PMB but today the no of soldiers being killed in the NE has been shielded. Meet any soldier who recently returned from there for genuine stories & figures.
2. Employment: This govt has been so ignorant & refuses counsel(this is the worst attribute of PMB, so arrogant).
3. Corruption: Don't tell me is doing better, after all OBJ sent politicians to jail too, only the spineless GEJ didnt. Corruption is seated in ASO ROCK and the president pretends he is a saint. Tell the truth, a bullion van moving into Baba T's house on the eve of election and releasing of the Paris fund to Gov Bello few weeks to election, what does it tell you?
4. ACCOUNTABILITY: Why is subsidy increasing against even the increase in PMS price?
5. UNITY: PMB isnt a nationalist but a "sectionalist". PYO, quote me anywhere will be a better leader and a nationalist than PMB. Go through all PYO did when PMB was absent even to the DSS invasion of the chambers.
See, you guys here defending rubbish have locked your minds with selfishness.

Built2last:
Those who are expressing outrage at the festival of nepotism President Buhari has just demonstrated Sowore, also with the replacement of the Southern head of FIRS and and that of AMCON with Northerners are either lying to themselves or they are lying to us. Either way, their outrage is devoid of sincerity.

Buhari is one of the most consistent men on earth. Consistent in evil. And he has always been an open book. Everything he's doing today are things he's always been doing publicly both in words and in deeds long before becoming President. His records have always been there for even the blind to see.

All through his three previous attempts at the presidency, Buhari never hid the fact that he harbors deep seated disdain for people who are not from his own region and religion. He demonstrated this by restricting his presidential campaign mostly to the North. Even when he picked southern running mates, he still didn't go round the South to campaign but he campaigned in all parts of the North.

Before the 2015 Poll, the ex soldier was repeatedly making known his position on every burning issues. For example, on security, he made it clear that Boko Haram terrorists represent his North and as such, any attack on them was an attack on the North. This was enough to let every honest Nigerian know how he would treat any security problem caused by people who share his region and religion.

On corruption, he told us all that the Nigerian most corrupt leader, Sani Abacha under whom he (Buhari) served and whose loot is still being returned to the country even as I type, was not corrupt. This statement was enough guide for anyone genuinely interested in knowing how the former military dictator would treat acts of corruption perpetrated by his close friends and allies especially those from his part of the country who pray toward mecca.

On desperation for power and zero regard for human life, Buhari showed us all we needed to see when he contested the 2011 Poll on the platform of a little known now defunct Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) and predictably lost but refused to accept the result and incited his supporters into butchering innocent Nigerians. Even when the then President Jonathan govt pleaded with him to just make a statement condemning the post election killing with the hope that his supporters will 'decode' such a statement as a 'cease fire' instruction, Buhari vehemently refused. In the end, over 800 souls perished. All because he lost a Presidential election he stood no chance of winning in the first place. How can anyone with a functioning brain expect such a man to care about the lives of Nigerians?

Even on religious extremism, intolerance and bigotry, Buhari left no one guessing as he went on making ill-adviced divisive statements.

Most worthy of note is the fact that every single horrible thing Buhari is doing today, he did them 3 decades ago when he ruled with a loaded gun and a suspended Constitution. Please ask question and do some research.

So those filling my ear with faux outrage over the continuation of the Northernization agenda, wetin be una own, biko? What were you expecting?

Quite frankly, Buhari is a mistake no sane person ought to have made.
Truly, I made a mistake supporting this autocrat in 2015.
GEJ's mess didnt allow me consider all these.
That incitement of 2011 was a disaster to his personality and a prove of his wicked heart.

The SE should know that this sudden attack on Buhari is not because they believe in your ideas.... It's simply a feeling of suspicion in the power arrangement, as some SW people are now taking the political bullets. (you know what I mean) and their attempt to rally support for Sowore, especially for the mockery they get, on this issue.

Don't fall for the scam of the seeming fight against injustice.

Remember that this injustice had always been and they applauded it.

Check their commentaries and editorials on previous issues of injustices.

Check the analysis of their political commentators, when the houses of Judges were invaded at night.

Check their analysis when some sections of the country were excluded from vital appointments. They said you schemed your selves out for power because of your hate for Buhari. They said you played politics of hate.

How many of their commentators talked about federal character and equity.

Remember those who justified the tagging of a section of the country 5%. They never fought for INJUSTICE at that time.

Remember the Operation Crocodile smile and Python dance. They never spoke up against such injustice.

Remember that whenever you spoke, they accused you of corruption. "corruption fighting back"
They never saw injustice in all of these

I don't need to continue because I believe you know these things.

Half a word, is enough for the wise.
Seems like funny but true
The west plays sentiments in politics.
During python dance, I remember vividly how people here on NL celebrated the killing of unarmed SEners and even supported the detention of Kanu against the law.
I remember also how especially those guys on TVC kept bashing the east and upholding the killings of the soldiers.
Not knowing that the cobra one breeds still holds venom & bites as well.
The SE dropped all sentiments and showed its disregard for the military junta.
The truth is that General Buhari has been emboldened and I believe more is coming.
The truth is what this guy has said.

GeoAfrikana:
Lalasticlala, other side of the story.

Emotions and sentiments apart;

First, sincerely when I watched the video yesterday I was confused. I didn't see any persona that looked like a DSS officer. I've once had an 'encounter' with DSS officers.
They escorted the corpse of a federal icon from Abuja to our village for burial. They arrived early in the night, witnessed the burial, shot guns in the air and drove off.

It was an intimidating experience. They were so organised and gallant. Their men were heavily built and their guns were sophisticated. No one in that video is similar to the typical DSS officer in my imagination.

Secondly, the word REVOLUTION that Sowore used is enough crime against him. I'm almost certain that if someone tried a tenth of such in the US he would be corpse in less than a month. Or at least be undead in Guantanamo.

Note: I'm opened to objective counter-arguments. If you rationally, objectively and politely debate my points then I'll listen to you. I'm willing to engage in intellectual debates.

But if all you have is insults and curses then expect no response from me.

Thanks for reading.
The word REVOLUTION is wrong and the APC used it on GEJ and also threatened to run a parallel govt?
Oga, it is Karma.

And they invaded NASS?

Tbh Kanu made it hard for the Yorubas to look the other way. The manner in which he started his agitation by making it a duty in abusing the Yorubas and instructing IPOB to kill Oyoroba bastard was one of the reason why the Yorubas antagonized him.

Imagine if Sowore was abusing the Igbos and calling them unprintable names online, do you think the Igbos supporting him now would have even gave him a listening ear?

Yes, what the government did to IPOB is totally wrong and ever sane thinking people will admit that. If you study Kanu well these days, he has learnt to control his approach such that he dosen’t just abuse the Yorubas anyhow anymore.

I know we’ve both offended eachother, we’ve done countless things to eachother that if we think about we would still maintain the animosity. But I’m tired of those rubbish online ego tripping among us both as tribes.
Truly, Kanu is wrong till date and in anyway.
I'm even scared of people like him becoming leaders. He has a heart like PMB's.
You say, "Kanu changed his approach"? Oga, I dont trust that guy one bit. He is cunny.
My point isnt the Yorubas getting silent after all he abused them in a way that is so bad but openly supporting and hailing the killing of unarmed IPOB was so wrong.
See, bro the Yorubas cannot succeed fighting this fight without an iota of support from other tribes.
Check the history of all these fight, the govt then never received any support from other parts of the country and even some notable Igbos who didnt join the fight openly condemned the govt of those days.
Who in Yorubaland today will talk?
Those days had more men than today. It was those days that bred men like Tinubu, Sowore, Soyinka, falana and the ineffable Gani, etc. (Guy, those names brought tears to my eyes, we lost a lot in Gani).
Who and who are today being groomed for a tough fight tomorrow?
Tinubu, I bet you money he won't talk cos if he dares, he is going to court too and will loose a lot of stake cos this govt is a huge plus to him.
Can he go back to being opposition again and without the strong North and a divided South?
That's why I'm quiet about Osinbanjo not talking.
The young man has shown what he would have done, every Nigerian knows what he is capable of doing.
But right now, he is boxed in.
If he resigns, he is creating a wider gap too so he remaining there for me is still better.
Same for Tinubu, he would have been scheming on ways to go about stuff just that I'm in doubt if he will succeed against the North, so I'm sure he will stand with them.and go the way of negotiation, which is his best option for now.

However Jonathan was also a bad President, what can we point to as development during his period? Boko haram killing people daily, corruption in all nooks and crannies of Nigeria, state government borrowing to pay workers, and etc.

Sowore as an activist rose up like he’s been doing against past presidents and exposed the Jonathan government attrocities which made people hope in Buhari coz we long for a better Nigeria.

When Buhari turned out to be more clueless and tyrannic, Sowore once again opposed him and tried exposing the government and yet some of these guys are blaming him and talking about Jonathan like he was our former messiah.

They ridiculously said Sowore should apologize to Jonathan, Apologize to Jonathan for what? Who is Jonathan and what was his impact on Nigeria? If he had been a good president will the people be frustrated to vote for Buhari?

Try to think in this mode bro and you’ll see that I’m speaking some sense!
I am an Igbo man and I was pained seeing my fellow humans I the North getting killed daily like rams and GEJ was playing around
I just hated GEJ at that time for that at a time I felt the North also has a strong blame to handle with BH.

99% of Nigerians vote based on sentiments towards their tribe, region or religion and it will take GOD to allow us taste the most evil of times to learn to do right.
May worse leaders fall on us and steer our hearts to wisdom.
