Now, Talking about speaking out,
Be ready to read the LONG post we are about to tell you,
You asked for it man. wink
It is for you and any Sane Nigerians that have the time to read.
Not for children of hate, perdition and frustration.
Cos they will be so sad and mad with their miserable selves if they dare to read this!

We do speak out,
Our only issues are with those who are intentionally blind and dead to the positive things going on around the country, the ones that bitterness and hatred rule on their heart for the President 24 hours of the day.
We know and respect genuine critics when we see them,
People like Omotola and few others who spoke up when some things were not done in the proper way......

We are not against critics who are genuinely concerned about a better Nigeria,
You will know them because when they see good efforts of government they applaud.

But the others, the one who swore on their lives Buhari will never be president, the enemies of the nation, are the ones we are talking about. The following are their traits:

* They lie and mislead others with statements as 'I regret voting Buhari', etc a cliche they started using as early as few months into the Buhari government. To them it doesn't matter that the last government looted the treasury and Buhari met an empty treasury...they will say 'we voted him because he said he will change the nation in '3 monthshuh? (Don't bother to ask for proof, lying is their trademark)

* They are the one who swore on their father's head that Buhari died in Aso rock, and later in UK. Then they said the Buhari that returned to Nigeria is a clone (duplicate) and you still take cognizance of what comes out of these peoples mouth.

* They were the ones who said 8 years was not enough for OBJ, and 6 not enough for GEJ etc They are the thieves and looters- beneficiaries of corruption.
They are either the full time politicians, corrupt civil servants, journalists, bankers, fraudulent contractors, religious businessmen etc...
It's no longer business as usual, so they pretend that they are fighting for ordinary Nigerians!!

* When you remind them of how corruption in last government has ruined the nation....they ask you to stop talking about the past

* When you say Buhari is a man of integrity and his fighting corruption...they say his son has a power bike and one of his daughter just graduated with first class from a foreign university!
Can you imagine that?!

* When Evans the kidnapper say something against Buhari, he becomes an hero. When you say their heroes and spokespersons lack integrity (IBB, OBJ, Fayose, FFK, Saraki, GEJ, etc)...then they say look at the message not the messenger (what meaningful words do the robber want to utter?)

*They are not interested in any development in Nigeria, if it means ascribing any success to PMB.

* Every good news of the nation brings them sadness, and they remain quiet until another bad news crops up

* If you tell them Buhari is building over 300 roads all over Nigeria, they say it is a lie, something they can see and read about!

* Tell them Buhari is developing the rail system all over Nigeria, they say it is not his initiative that Obasanjo and GEJ had plans to do it.

* Inform them about the agricultural revolution how Nigeria now produces its local food and has become a foremost world exporter of food, they say it is Obasanjo that started Operation feed the nation in the 70s (God have mercy!!!)

* When you say Buhari is working to completing abandoned projects, over 8000 nationwide (Mambila hydro power, Ajaokuta Steel Plant etc), they say it is because he has no program of his own!

* Refute their allegations that Buhari is tribalistic with how his ministerial cabinets now (and as military head of state) had more Christians than Muslims, and how powerful ministries were being run by southerners...they hold their breath and in the next statement still repeat the allegation (it is an obsession)

* They say Buhari is vindictive..., but no state or region has been denied their share of development projects irrespective of whether they support PMB government or not. He has taken 13 BILLION water project to Otuoke in GEJs village Bayelsa, N22 BILLION road to Atikus village in Adamawa, reconstruction of Lagos Abeokuta expressway to OBJs state, the 2nd Niger Bridge etc to the east, the massive investment and redevelopment of the Niger-Delta etc are part of the proof of PMBs fairness to all

* When the clampdown on corruption started, they said only southerners are being harassed, when Dasuki etc were arrested they say it is only PDP; when Saraki was taken to court they say it is because he is in opposition; when former governors and APC members were jailed (Dariye and Nyame ) they say it was PDP that started the probe..huh??

* When EFCC is investigating the massive investments and dollars accounts of Mrs Patience Jonathan, Alison Maduekwe etc.... they say it is political harassment and you should bring proof of corruption. But when they bring scandalously stupid allegations like Buhari has bought the national stadium etc and you ask for proof ....they say you are a fanatic.

* Tell them how the threats of IPOB, Niger Delta were curtailed, they say it is a clampdown on Igbo's and southerners; remind them of how the menace of El Zakyzaky and his Shiites group of the norths have been curbed.... they say it is coercion.

* Remind them how the dreaded Boko Haram has been chased away from the States that they use to control in the north and how normalcy is returning to those part of the country..
before when you see a polythene bag on the streetof Abuja, everyone Start running helter skelter, nobody was free to go to church again on sunday morning in the last years of Jonathan.. but now, nothing of such anymore.. they will still refer to the occasional suicide bombings as proof that nothing is achieved.

Tell them how it has been impossible for even almighty US etc to totally stop suicide bombings ..... they retort 'are you now comparing this 'S**t nation to US' (Of course not, US do not have plenty bad belle-hypocrites as them as citizens)

* Tell them how herdsmen killings preceded PMB, and how many non Fulani herdsmen have been arrested by the army for killings, including a personal aide to Governor Ortom, and how since such arrests the killings have subside.... they still in the next statement like a broken record refer to Buhari as promoting herdsmen killers.

* Tell them about the resuscitation of the mambila project, the Ajaokuta steel project, etc, they say it is a lie
* Show them videos and pictures of ongoing development nationwide, they say its photo and video shop (huh??)

* Tell them how Buhari stopped the BILLION DOLLARS fertiliser scam and how in its place 11 local fertiliser companies were revived resulting in Nigeria producing for its local needs...they say 'how does that translates to food for the common man?' (Kai ba sense?!!!)

* When Buhari agreed to pay 88 BILLION compensation to Biafrans victims, granted autonomy to state judiciary, supports local government autonomy, recognised MKO and June 12 they say it is politics. (And like the daughter of our Hero of democracy said, if Buhari does not play politics, should he play chemistry?)

* They say Nigeria don't want Buhari, and he will lose the election landslide, and they are writing hypocrirical letters that he should not contest (Do they want to save him from disgrace ni, abi what's there own? (Jokers : jesters all of them)

* To them the National Assembly members used to be all (APC) rogues, but now without doing any good thing but because they now oppose PMB they have become their heroes; from the clown Dino, to the Michael Jackson of Osun, the stupendously corrupt and wealthy Saraki, Mark, Dogara etc ( Its a case of show me your friend/hero/and I know what kind of person you are).
It is good to know the charlatans have been pushed out and voted out by their own constituencies.

* Buhari has refused like previous governments to bribe legislators to do their duties, and since their dirty strategies is no longer working they have become a stumbling block to progress...the wailers will say if it was OBJ he would have dealt with them. (But if he had use any other means they will say he is undemocratic; two sided mouth people)
Again, It is good to know the charlatans have been pushed out and voted out by their own constituencies.

* If you call a thief by its name, they will say how can you be insulting an honourable, a distinguished senator, a former president who has fought poverty through farming etc, but
hear them when they refer to Mr president, 'the man is a m***n, he is brain dead, he's bubu, he's a clone, he is d*ft' etc.

But this man has proven to be better than them all, he has refused to respond to the tantrums of their bosses, the OBJs, IBB, etc Like a true soldier he marches on with the good works, and God has been his defense.

* When you show some of them the unparalleled efforts of this government in development compared to all the past governments, then you will hear....well he has tried but I still don't like him, he is too old, he is slow, he is unintelligent, he is not outspoken etc... (#%@€¥ Perfect human beings all of them mtchew)

This is the point where you will be able to confirm that these are people whose concern is not Nigeria's development. Whose problem with Buhari is not performance but personal hatred, more because they have been used to the corrupt way of life they lived with for 16 looting years.

This is why nothing tangible will be achieved if you engage them in any developmental discussion, when their concern is wotowoto-pettiness.

So Sane Nigerians, Kindly Avoid arguments over Buhari's use of language, age etc, keep sending them the good news, project reports and achievements of government, and gradually you help bring them back to reality:

In conclusion let us quote their most used cliche:

" We have never had it so bad"

Yes by Gods grace this government will continue to be a thorn in the flesh of those who for their selfish interest do not want things to change in Nigeria

For the rest of good Nigerians, Buhari's time is our time, let us be steadfast in support of our nation.
It will forever be good for us all.

God bless our Darling President.
God bless Nigeria

We Rise![/quote]In all these your covert response, I could only pick this cos I am busy at work
"Tell them Buhari is developING the rail system ALL OVER Nigeria, they say it is not his initiative that Obasanjo and GEJ had plans to do it."
Please may we know the rails ALL OVER Nigeria he is DEVELOPING?
Inasmuch he is trying, his vindictive acts still give him away.

At the risk of sounding like one of them, I have to agree I consider the use of GPS a distraction (more about the way we use it). So many times I have entered cabs and the driver would stare at his phone for seconds to get the route. I get really uncomfortable in those few seconds. Few times they look up and make sharp swerves.

However, I do not think the problem should be the use of GPS in its entirety. The problem should be the use of handheld devices and its resultant inattentive driving. I would prefer a situation where it can be set before driving and on speaker too. This is a better option, since so many persons would rather not hang their phones.

They issued a statement to this effect recently. You can look it up, juxtapose it with your situation and know if your case can be appealed.

Politics › Diezani Alleged To Have Spent $2.2m Indirectly Buying Diplomatic Passport by Cherez(op): 10:30pm On Dec 03, 2019
Guys,
Why are our politicians so heartless?
How could you pack our monies $2.2m to a foreign land to purchase freedom while you could have just joined the APC like others do and spend the money within same economy?
These people are heartless and this was why I voted PMB against terrible GEJ in 2015 but even the PMB sef has turned a disgrace too.

Diezani and other influential people took advantage of this deal to secure a Dominican Diplomatic Passport that prevents security agencies from investigating them.

by SaharaReporters, New York Dec 01, 2019
Diezani Alison-Madueke

In 2015, just after President Goodluck Jonathan lost the presidential election, Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, jetted to the United Kingdom following inundating reports of corruption under her.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission soon went after her, filing multiple charges against her and some top figures of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Se was linked with fraudulent oil deals amounting to millions of dollars.

However, the former minister has been able to prevent the EFCC from prosecuting her as her extradition had taken over four years with no significant progress.

An investigation by Al Jazeera has now revealed one of the reasons it might be difficult for EFCC to extradite her.

In the investigation, details of how Dominican Republic politicians are selling the country’s passport to fund elections were revealed.

Al Jazeera exposed how Prime Minister of Dominican Republic, Roosevelt Skerrit, funds his election with sales of his country’s diplomatic passport without abiding by the rules of the United Nations in appointing ambassadors or diplomats.

Diezani and other influential people took advantage of this deal to secure a Dominican Diplomatic Passport that prevents security agencies from investigating them.

The reports disclosed that there are documents linking Diezani to a secret deal on the purchase of an apartment in New York, United States.

Around $2.2m was used to purchase the said apartment through a Shell account in Deleware, the investigation revealed.

According to Al Jazeera, “In London, she is personally handed a Dominican diplomatic passport by Prime Minister Skerrit; a passport which could shield her from criminal charges.

"We found documents showing a few days later that a Shell company is formed in Delaware, an American state where laws mean the true owners of a company are kept secret.

“Four months later, that Shell company buys a New York apartment for $2.2m with no mortgage. Property records confirm that the prime minister’s wife, Melissa, was a resident.

"Photos placed the Skerrit family there. Both Diezani and Skerrit deny any links to the company that bought the apartment.

“Skerrit said the family resided there due to a kind gesture by an unnamed friend of his wife.

"He strongly denies any wrongdoing and says he didn’t demand or receive any money from Madueke.”

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has given the EFCC until March 2020 to extradite the former minister from the United Kingdom where she has been since 2015.

“My docket is not going to be a waiting room for the prosecution.

"I will give you one more adjournment. If nothing happens on the next date, I will strike it out,” the judge said.

I didnt say our scientist shouldn't work on developing new improved seedlings when needed, but if an improved variety already exists, what's the wisdom in re-inventing it? Every country buys improved seeds so what's wrong if Nigeria does same? There's no wisdom re-inventing what already exists.

If there's a special type of sweet mango in Germany for instance, if we need this mango variety in large quantities in Nigeria, the economic and commonsensical thing to do is to take the seed from Germany and grow the tree in Nigeria. You don't need to start the engineering process afresh for something that already exists; you arent trying to impress anyone. That effort can be spent engineering something else.
Obailala, after this I speak no more.
Can you grow apple in Nigeria?
Same mango might not grow here without certain conditions.
Gene's for most crops and Animals has been sequenced and properly mapped, there are databases for it.
Albeit, going to the lab doesnt mean re-inventing but like a production machinery using a template(here the genetic mapping for such needed trait).
If you need the German mango, why go import a container of it?
Just profile one seed, get the info here, multiply it and even improve on it.
We only need to access these databases and do the needful if our govt is serious but no, they want a bogus contract oversee hard to trace fraud.
How many country buys improved seed?
Now you know countries buy improved seed and not also buys food items?
Now you keep going back to the import you so resented?
Business › Re: Petrol subsidy increases by 2,000% in one year by Cherez: 12:16am On Dec 03, 2019

My point was simple - we want to produce a particular kind of nutritional grass variety that could help improve livestock production. There are 2 options:
1. Take the seedling from brazil, and plant it widescale in selected reserves in Nigeria, thereby producing as much quantity as we want here at home (this is just the same way Malaysia and Indonesia took palm seeds from Nigeria some decades ago and are now producing more palm produce than we).

2. Go into the lab and start doing bio-engineering to produce the already existing seeds.

You said Option 1 wasn't economical, but I disagree with you; Option 1 is clearly the more economical approach to producing what we want in a short space of time. I didnt say it wasnt a good idea for our scientists to work on improving the varieties later, but in the time being, the more economic and time friendly approach was to take an existing seed and plant it.

You obviously keep sounding as though the grass is to be imported for consumption, NO the seed was to be imported for planting.
None of what you said was my point.
My point was take a permanent and more sustainable way out.
You import the seedlings today and they create another one after 1yr and you still require it while they play you like electronics & phone companies who keep feeling out new phones yearly?
Since my birth, Naija has been buying distributing improved seedling, oga to what end?
My point is, go to the lab and produce seedlings specific to your needs.
Go and study lots of journals on diseases and you find out that malaria isnt a focus cos it is not Oyinbo man's problem but the black man could have gone far with malaria if they had such labs tapering research to their specific problems.
See, before you move those seeds from Brazil, a professional with the right gene mapping would have give you better results with our existing plants.

With the bolded part of your post above, you've shifted the goalpost by agreeing with me that it makes no sense to re-invent what already exists; it only makes sense to 'improve' on it. For you to improve or 'harness' something which already exists, wouldn't you acquire it first?

From what I gather, you claim it was "backward mentality" for Nigeria to buy for example, the flood resistance rice variety which has facilitated the rice cultivation boom in the last 6 years? Your point is that we should have developed or "manufactured" the improved seedling from scratch, and that is probably what will make us a modern society. Oga, no modern society re-invents what already exists, especially in agriculture - it would be pointless and in fact silly. Agriculture is different from manufacturing, so stop this your innoson example, Innoson is producing cars, not 'inventing' cars. In agriculture, the way to produce is to stick the damn seed in the ground.

Stop trying too hard to win an argument that doesn't exist man. Like I said in my original post which you initially disagreed with, there is absolutely nothing wrong with buying improved seedlings to cultivate in your farm. If you want to later improve on it through bio-genetics or bio-engineering, that is a totally different kettle of fish, a different topic of discussion here.
Guy, here is a screenshot of my point that you tone a good seedling but in it's natural habitat.
Like I've said, your point is to win this argument but my aim isnt to but grind out facts.
You just talk out of fact.
See, in plain words; you dont need the seeds.
With the right equipments and the knowledge of the epigenetics(the structure of a genome based on silenced & active gene sequenced) of a particular genome for a specific trait, I could get you a seedling of a desired trait without even seeing the parent seedling, all that is required is gene mapping
Kai!
Now, is it not better that we have people in a national lab that farmers can always send recommendations of seed types they require depending on their soil structure, type, climate & other bioconditions?
It may not necessarily be re-inventing but further development.
Our thoughts on this are in the parallel as I never agreed with you.
Developing a seed that can grow in oil-spilled places is also an area of research where lots of inventions can happen.
A simple analogy for you is the phone company; you dont claim you wanna import phones cos you dont need a factory(lab) that produces phones(improved seedlings) cos it seems as if you're re-inventing phones (seedling technology).
That phone company even make phones in Hausa or other languages or even make phones that dont get too hot suiting our weather as further improvements.
Quit this re-inventing word you misuse

Hahahaha... So you think you can just get a machine and start manufacturing improved seedlings overnight? You think say na robot or vehicle you dey produce? This man thinks it's all about genetically modifying a seed in a lab. Funny!

Oga, there is no economic sense in re-inventing the wheel; go and educate yourself and stop embarrassing yourself with these arguments. There is no sense whatsoever in re-creating what has already been created, unless you want to improve on an existing creation. All you need do is to pick that which has been created and reproduce it, or you can improve on it if you need to; no need to re-create from scratch. In agriculture, the simplest way to do this is to take an engineered seed and stick it in the ground to produce 10,000 engineered seeds.
Lol!
One funny thing I learnt as an undergraduate is this; do not doubt in others what you are incapable of.
But I'm not surprised you still have the mentality of your leaders whom are so blind to inputs novel to them.
Machine ke?
Oga, a room is enough to do all these. Gene transfection wont take you much.
If Innoson a non-graduate could do it, you can.
I personally know so well about GM foods and I tell you, it is no biggie. This lab shouldn't take upto 500million and can be used to develop all other seedlings and even animal husbandry.
Keep recycling your old mentality.
Btw, I explained to you before that no matter how good the improved seedling imported is, you need to harness it to adapt better to your own changing environs; it is developing an invention and not re-inventing. Moreover, inventions are unlimited and there are more lands to cover in biogenetics.
Bros, pity yourself spilling this gibberish naaaaa.
If you know nothing about sth, be humble enough to be schooled or go search for it.
Na so una dey Rwanda get phone factory, soon na Ghana una go import seedlings from.

Oga, go and sleep but before you do go find out about IITA, get schooled.

Meanwhile when I mentioned $28bn was in the reserves, I was only giving an approximation based on what I recall, not exact figures. But since you're trying too hard to play smart, the exact figure as at May 29, 2015 when PMB took over was $28.6bn. Thank you very much for the link you provided, you saved me the energy of googling anything cos that very news link you provided actually mentions $28.6bn (see screenshot below), but because you obviously were in a hurry to respond, you read only the report title (as typical Nigerians do) but couldn't be bothered about the actual content of what you posted; shame!

Lol... you must feel an inner push within you to just oppose and criticise everything right?... You want to re-invent the wheel abi?

Do you know it could take decades of breeding and cross-breeding to produce for example, a flood and pest resistant maize seedling? Not to talk of the possible millions spent in the research and development. Now the improved seed is in the market for N10 from Agric ministry, but instead of simply buying and cultivating and getting a bountiful harvest within 2 months, you want to spend probably 10 years 'making' your own version of the improved seedling because you think you are doing who? grin
Bros, you really need a closure.
You started real good but I give up on your mediocre thoughts.
So you believe buying at a subsidized cost of N10 is worth more than owning the production machinery?
Kai, bros lower your ego and learn.

Decades of cross breeding?
Oga, those seedlings are genetically engineered crops (just google monsato & other like companies) and with the technology resident in Nigeria you dont have to keep buying the seedlings but keep improving yours and even export.
You just understand export/import on the surface; import knowledge at a lower cost and develop it into products of export.

Doesn't that make a person even as useless as the useless government being criticised?... Whatever happened to criticising with sound logic? Is tha beyond your capacity as a human?

Like I said before, I wasn't holding brief for any of our useless leaders; I was only trashing some false comments laced with twisted logic. If simply putting out facts or correcting an erroneous belief is what you call 'defence' or 'support' for a govt, then so be it.
Lol, permit me to say you're the one with fake statistics.
First the reserve didnt drop to about $28bn like you posited but to above $30bn(https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/194156-nigerias-foreign-reserves-drops-to-30-04bn-cbn.html)
Total debt stock of over $65bn as at May, 2015?
Bros, softly with these lies and figures you cook up. See (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thecable.ng/nigerias-debt-profile-risen-n5-4trn-buharis-govt/amp).
You extrapolated a point to justify a whole system.
Even the dollar explanation you gave is flawed cos truly GEJ messed up but PMB has a lot of blame to take for it due to his bad policies, delays in action and being selfish.

Hear me and hear me well! There is absolutely nothing wrong with importing improved seedlings for cultivation in Nigeria. That is what happens in modern agriculture practice all over the world. For months, it was explained and re-echoed that it was grass 'seedlings' for cultivation, but compulsively ignorant fellows continued to twist it saying Nigeria was planning to import grass to feed cows. If you choose to fall in this category of humans peddling ignorant rubbish even till 2019, enjoy yourself.
Lol
So, why not import the knowledge which is far more cost saving than the grass?
Mehn, think ahead.
Importing those seedlings is to what end?
Have they not been doing that?
No matter how good a seedling is, you can only tone it to it's natural habitat.
Improved seedlings are finished products of a processing unit.

I am sure 96% of people reading and commenting do not understand the concept of subsidy and reason for the wailing about it.

FG is not subsidising fuel ; subsidy is a mere concept which makes too many flawed assumptions in how it is calculated and only exists in the pages of anti-govt newspapers and minds of wailers.

Fact: Subsidy is a theoretical concept introduced by corrupt govt of Thief Obasanjo to justify the hiking of fuel price.

Question: Is there any provisions for subsidy in any of Buhari's budget proposals? No!

Question : Did Abacha ever talk about the concept of subsidy?
Lol
Funny you,
Subsidy is now NNPC's responsibility.
They make the money and pay subsidy as well, then remit the balance to the govt.
So PMB isnt paying subsidy?
Omo, make una see brain ooo!

Oh your argument is no longer "Buhari is stealing subsidy"? It has now shifted to "buhari is the one that crashed the Naira"? This is a typical example of what happens when emotions and foolishness is placed before logic.

Meanwhile when you and your countrymen have an inordinate appetite for imported goods, (including imported toothpick) in a country that depends on only one source of income (oil), the currency crashing at every oil price shock becomes inevitable especially when your useless leaders do not have the foresight and discipline to save sufficient funds in its foreign reserves. Buhari isnt the one who made Nigeria to depend only on oil, neither is he the one that forced you to kill all your refineries thereby spending 60% of its forex importing petrol and kerosene; PMB isn't also the one who depeleted the reserves making it impossible to defend the Naira when the oil crisis was critical.

FYI, the Naira's value has progressively devalued under every single regime. When OBJ entered, Naira was less than N80/$, when he left it was about N120-150/$. When GEJ entered, despite unprecedented oil income, Naira still crashed from N150/$ to N230/$ in the parallel market. The entire crash under GEJ happened in the last few months due to a sudden oil crash despite desperate efforts made using funds in the reserves to defend the Naira. The oil crash worsened and persisted after PMB took over and at the time he took over, the reserve was critically low to permit further withdrawals to defend the Naira. Only a fellow having boiled indomie in place of brain cells would have expected magic to have happened for the Naira not to crash... Nuff said!

Now quit blabbing out of point let's go back to the topic of discussion
The way you guys support evil in your country is thrilling, honestly.
Imagine what you typed up there.
Reserve dropped?
Oga balance our debt with reserve as at today?
That's why volume of oil bring subsidized doubled in 5yrs even with border closure?
But same govt almost imported grass from Brazil and your oga and his colleagues keeps packing away our dollars for foreign medicals.
You absolutely have a very weak point.
Yes it is wrong to import like Naija does but have our leaders led by example?
Even their wears are all foreign and they keep traveling abroad always.
No be abroad Zahra & her siblings go school?
Cos rice is the common man's food?
Can we start import restriction from ostentatious goods?

There's a simply economic explanation for that; when pump price was N97, the actual import cost was about N145. Now fuel sells for N145 but the actual import cost floats between N165 - N200. Oil prices and the exchange rate which has doubled (N160 - N305) are the core culprits why subsidy is still being paid despite the N145 pump price.

The above logic is only complex when we mix emotions and economics.

The real daft 'Zon B' is the one who doesn't know that exchange rate which has doubled between 2012 to date will also double the import cost of fuel.
Guy, NO.
The daft one here is the one whom is so blind to understand that if Otedola, Ifeanyi Ubah and other subsidy criminals made so much monies and was knocked out by NNPC to be the sole importer, volume shouldn't have doubled.
You try to give reasons for the increase in cost but not the outrageous and "outside the curve" quantity.
In $ the current govt is paying over 200% is it not a cause for questions?
And still borrows everyday.
I just dey watch us for this country.
If our govt can be sincere for just 4yrs, this country will change for good.

I will love to believe you but realities say differently.

Azikiwe wanted to rule over people(Yorubas)who were more educated than his people. It would have been better for him to help his people.

I have read a lot about Onwuka...columnist for punch.... always comparing why the Yorubas are better in Music etc.

.Chinua Achebe died praying for his Igbo people to catch up with the Yorubas. He even said you have caught up and overtaken the Yorubas.Maybe the overtaken is what prompted to post this thread in a public forum.Unfortunately for him,the table still showed that Yoruba have a larger population in the universities than his kinsmen. grin

Sir,if you don't compare with Yoruba in Nigeria,Africa and the world, who will you compete or compare with?

You have to catch up with your brothers and sisters in Nigeria first before going to Africa, then the world.Good luck.

These are a few achievements of the Yorubas that you must catch up with.Every one of them is to the glory of God.......

They have two Nobel Laureates.

They have won more than 10 grammy awards.

They have 5 youngest in the world phd holders.

They hace 8 CGDP 5.0 perfect score geniuses in the world.

They have the highest number of the best black mathematicians in the world with Olubummo being the best black mathematician to have written the highest number of mathematical journals in the world.

etc.

And above all.....compassion,love and modesty.
smiley
You know why I stay of NL? The emotions rub people off rationale.
What's wrong with Zik wanting to rule Nigeria?
Albeit, pre civil war times, the Yorubas were not more educated than the Igbos.
Do you complain of PMB ruling over more educated people?
I had to check your profile and here is a topic you created to prove the SW is richer (https://www.nairaland.com/4802272/2017-2018-undp-poverty-rates).
You are the ones doing that and not the Igbos. The only state I have heard some Igbos compare with Lagos which is truly doing relatively better.
Anyway, let's face the points you gave;
1. 1 Nobel laureate and not 2, a very good achievement
2. Not upto 10 Grammy awards but 7 I know of
3. 5 youngest PHD holders in the world are Yorubas? Aburo, haba naaaaaa, this one na lie I beg.
Bros, the Igbos were actually on the frontlines also before the war so the catch up you believe they are doing now is actually not relative to any tribe but an absolute one to what it used to be for them.

You're so correct.
And I believe that over 40-50% crimes are by non-yorubas

Well,it is a joyous thing for you Igbos and kudos but Yorubas still remain the intellectuals to catch up to.
There are some of your Igbo brothers always surfing the internet day and night just to bring up a debate or an encounter with the Yoruba.

It is not too bad if it stays healthy.

The wish of the founding fathers of the Igbos is to catch up with Yoruba but Yorubas are still soaring higher and higher.

Goodluck to the healthy competitors.
Bet me, the Igbos naturally do not even bring the Yorubas to comparison in their dreams.
Every Igbo man wants to be known in Africa and world over and not tugging shoulders with any tribe.
Bros, check NL alone, their are more of those stuffs against the Igbos than the Yorubas.
Mompha was caught, no statement from FG, Allen Onyema was accused and not even caught and the whole social media was ablaze on Igbos this, Igbos that.
Invictus and co was caught Abike Dabiri shamefully mentioned Igbos and even a Lagos radio station I listened to said exactly same thing but the Saudi Arabian guys was given absolutely no attention.
See, the Igbos receive more stereotyping than every other tribe and this is because they have refused to really bend to any tribe.
Imagine the mistakes of GEJ is being blamed on the Igbos when he is not even Igbo.
A lot of stuffs like these.

I'm politely debating with youooooo
Let's not dabble into the normal NL hates, I LOVE THE YORUBAS.
However from your statistics,
Those figures from Kogi, Kwara and Ondo could not have had over 60% from the Yoruba indigenes as these states are multi-ethnic states.
Now do a simple Martha, viz; no of students admitted versus the population percentage of same tribe in Nigeria and I te you the SE guys ain't doing badly.
This is a great feat by the SEs especially after the civil war, cold inter-tribal & political wars till date and the undue disadvantage. Nevertheless, this shouldn't be an avenue to spite other tribes or chest beat but definitely a pride.
