You be proper mumu. You hear people talk about Sharia, you have no clue what it is and just begin shout Sharia up and down.

For your information, Sharia is not a culture.

Sharia is a jurisprudence, and you must enforce laws to sustain its creeds.

My earlier statement stands since the person opposing it does not even understand the basis under which his opposition is given.
Lol
I knew you will resort to ribald when you have lost reasoning.
Thank GOD for internet; going by you, you insisted Sharia was "custom"ary and below are your words, swallow it oga.

BabaRamota1980:
Hisbah is community policing, not different from local vigilante. The common goal amongst community policing, regardless of what name they bear is the interest to uphold and conserve customary code of morality in public space. In other words, kill and destroy agents of change that if left alone to thrive will soon displace and erode the local customs. So the duty of the local or community police is to enforce the tenets of their customary beliefs against its taboos or threats.

One community may see beer consumption as an agent of change that must be liquidated, another one may see robbery, another sees kidnapping, yet another may consider prostitution as a challenge. It is not national policing, but localized.

What taboo in the customs of the people will Biafran Security Service protect?

Politics › Makinde Ties Oyo Teachers Promotion To Students’ Performance In External Exams by Cherez(op): 12:38am On Jan 16, 2020
Oyo people should please lend me GSM cos this guy has never gotten anything wrong since ascending that seat of power
Oyo State Government has declared that public school teachers would henceforth be promoted and honoured according to their diligence and efficiency, as reflected in the overall performance of their students in external examinations.

This was contained in a press statement by the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Wasiu Olatunbosun, on Wednesday.

The statement noted that the declaration was announced by the Chairman, Oyo State Post-primary Schools Teaching Service Commission at an Interactive session with School Managers, Saki zone, Oke Ogun.

He said, “The promotion of teachers will no more be ‘business as usual’ as the Governor Seyi Makinde administration has concluded plans to award excellency, based on measures of efficient and productive input by teachers to make their students excel in external examinations.

“You can see that our government is a listening one, we are here today to have some feedback, tell us which area we need to improve as government and I can assure you that era of unpaid salary has gone forever as this administration will continue to make prompt payment of salary its priority.

“In the last promotion that we did where over 800 teachers got promoted, there was no report on the beneficiaries, everybody was just moved together at the same time, though we believe our teachers are noble, good and hard-working but we may have some bad eggs, who are lazy and might have sailed through without been qualified and the hard-working ones will be feeling cheated.

“This is why we are contemplating that at the end of every year, there must be reports on our teachers’ conduct and activities; teachers that are sanctified to be good and efficient need not wait for a general promotion, they will be promoted and honoured as at when due.”

This is a security issue and NOT political parties issues.

Yoruba people belong to PDP, APC, Labour and several other parties.

Yoruba politicians in PDP and PDP fans/supporters like Ex- Gov Gbenga Daniel, Olu Falae, Ex- Govs Ladoja and Mimiko, Fayose, Akinwunmi Adeshina, FFK, OPC, Afenifere etc supported GEJ such that PDP scored about 40% of the votes casted in the SW in 2015.

Yoruba politicians like Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun, Osinbajo etc supported Buhari and they had about 60% of the votes casted.

In the 2019 elections, PDP won the presidential election in Ondo and Oyo States and narrowly lost in Osun State.

Overall, the PDP got more votes in the S/West than in the S/East.
The incumbent Governor of Oyo State and the main proponent of the Amotekun security outfit, Gov Seyi Makinde belong to the PDP.

It was a fair deal.

You can open another thread directing Nigerians on who to handle over power to in 2023 but don't derail this thread sir.
Bros, I'm not here to play bigotry cos as for me, I WILL VOTE IN THIS COMING ELECTION ONLY IF APC PRESENTS OSIBANJO of which I'll give PYO my vote. If not I'm not voting at all.
This Amotekun has everything to do with politics; with state police the FG will have limited power during elections and even curb some state/regional security issues.
I am not about PDP/APC, you still dont get the drill.
My point is being selfless at least 30% of the times.

Sorry to say, but you don't know how international politics and diplomacy works.

I reiterate again Iran has never ran any terror program on US soil , and no Iranian has ever planned or carried out a terror attack on US soil.

Only Trump and Pompeo seem to know. They have not been able to explain to the American people the real reason Soleimani was assassinated. Even his republican members of Congress were angry at the briefings Trump's people gave.

Agreed. But the coys are terrorists to the US and israel, but not to most countries of the world. The Europeans, Russia, china, etc do not view Iran as terrorist.

These were Iranians coming in through the ports, so these are the ones the authorities could easily identify.
If a war actually breaks out, the government would hunt for Iranians and detain them for the duration of the war. This was what happened to Japanese and Japanese Americans and Germans in America during WW2.
Terrorist in inverted commas as I used depicts specificity.
Lol, you had to mention Israel that showed signs they were not interested in the US-IRAN beef?
Guy, did you really say this, "These were Iranians coming in through the ports, so these are the ones the authorities could easily identify."? So you dont know the US has a database of migrants?
Those coming in were only detained to scan them.
Even some Americans left Iran & Iraq due to personal security.
The argument is that no one except the North can do that in a non-war situation.
The SW & SE has no land boundary, so I doubt if any war will occur between the 2

Did you read the report or you just like arguing just for the sake of argument. Where was it written that any of the Iranian citizens detained were suspected terrorist? Have you heart of any Iranian planning or carrying out a terrorist attack on US or European soil?

There is no international law that can regulate foreigners in another country. It the countries themselves that make the laws that governs the rights of foreigners.
Nigerians asked Ghanaians to leave in the early 80s and nothing happened. Idiamin asked Lebanese and other foreigners to leave Uganda in the 70s, nothing happened.
Guy, I'm already at work I'd have explained better.

Why was the attack on Suleimani?
Iran partners and funds terrorist coys.
There is no way the US will detain all Iranians on its soil

Citizens of countries have free access to countries it's government has cordial relationship with. Biafra is very unlikely to have cordial relationship with Nigeria, sorry the zoo.
The US has no right to ask any lawful foreigner to leave even in cases of war safe for unlawful acts.
The only Iranians detained last week are those whom are suspected to have "terrorist"(Note the stress on terrorist) ties.

I am glad you are educated, so we can debate on an intellectual level instead of emotional level, without the use of threats, intimidation and innuendos. My problem with you is that you are sometimes dishonest. You view issues from your narrow perspective and not care about how issues affect others. I call that entitlement mentality.

Don't misunderstand me. I supported Buhari 100%, I did two years schooling in sokoto in the late 80s and fell in love with sokoto and northerners. When I was in sokoto, I did not feel threatened, I drank beer when I wanted to (but in a private bar or private space), I worshiped in a church when I felt like (all the churches were on Ahmadu bello road ), although I hate pork, no one threatened me from eating it. In fact when I was leaving one of my fulani friend offered to give me a goat as a parting gift. That was love.

Today, the story is different, I would not go back to sokoto for a million dollars. There is so much religious intolerance. You guys now want to impose your beliefs and lifestyle on others.

Now, what seperated an hisbah Police from amotekun? Are you saying if I steal or commit murder, hisbah Police will not arresting me? They may not have the powers to prosecute me, but they will effect the arrest, using violence if need be. They arrest people selling and drinking beer, they arrest men and women in hotel rooms.

You are away that there is a huge security challenge in the southwest and the south as a whole. Farmers are having difficulty earning their livelihood, due to cattle grazing and attacked by fulani herdsmen, and these have been going on for decades with increasing intensity. The federal government has either been complicit, incompetence or non challant, what do you expect the governors or the people to do?
No need arguing with that guy.
Nigerians are so sentimental that even the educated ones sound stupid.
Deaths by the herdsmen across states has risen and since the FG cant do anything to help, let the states help themselves. QED

I do understand their fears and nervousness, Hisbah is nothing and the bush abi forest guard in the SE is pretty much irrelevant, they pose no threat to them and their sensibilities and insecurities, but the fact that this outfit is Yoruba and SW related is the main issue because Yoruba people do things with seriousness and dedication and before they know, Amotekun is the best, the most effective and well equipped security outfit in Nigeria, this is what they fear, they just don't know where this is going and they don't want to be left behind.

It's very safe to conclude that this is the building block and foundation of a state or regional police, they already have the first “high-powered DNA forensic laboratory in Nigeria, fully accreditation by American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, next is command and control, criminal investigation and pseudo policing.
