Politics › Re: Is This Really In South West? by Cherez: 5:07pm On Dec 16, 2018
What is wrong with you guys on all the brown roof rubbish?
The Southwest and many parts of the North are old towns while the SS & SE are newer towns because the Nigerian war drowned these regions in bombs.
It won't be evasive to say the SE & SS current skylines evolved from 1967 while that of SW and North predates colonial era.
The north may not look this way cod of its land mass and sparse population unlike Ibadan and Lagos with densely populated areas.
Guys, can we always criticize with our brains?
I'm Igbo and grew up at Onitsha; Imagine someone at Nkpor bragging over some on in Fegge regarding housing conditions?

Phosphorus666:
Well, I cannot absolutely say that I have conquered it all, but I can assure you that I've, at least, gained victory in certain insurmountable quarters of worldly desires and I thank Jesus Christ who has constantly enabled me with his grace. However, I've learnt a lesson along the way in my pursuit of God's righteousness and holiness: unless your desire for holiness is as strong as a burning coal, you cannot achieve righteousness. I can remember how strong I yearned to be pure like Jesus, not just because I'm a Christian, but because I realized that that is the only way I could live a life of absolute quality. It wasn't easy going, and every now and then I prayed to Jesus for grace to help me achieve my desire. I wasn't really into fornication, but my sex urge for alarmingly crazy. I lusted for women in my enclosures, and I could strip any woman naked with my wild imaginations. I believed I wasn't normal. Yes, I believed I was sick and negatively crazy, and I did so many things I detested in secret. I prayed, I failed; I prayed, I failed again, and I asked God why. I cried every time because I couldn't help myself and God's help wasn't coming forth. Sometimes when I failed, I inflicted myself with knife injuries; countless times it was that way. But all I did not realize was that God was knowingly letting me pass through the fire of experience. One time He spoke to me, "The best of men are mould out of faults. So don't stop fighting, I'm watching you." I continued undauntedly. Today, I've overcome the lust of the flesh. Although their are still many grounds to cover for Jesus, I am happy for coming this far through his drops of grace.

More so, I will encourage everyone out there who is going through this challenge to also summon the courage of speaking out. Talk to a trusted friend about what you're going through. Sometimes we can find help in odd places. I began experiencing tremendous spiritual growth when I met my fiancée. Although she was raised in a Christian home, she is not the usual God-oriented stereotype. As modest as she is in the things of God, she will compel you to be the best human possible in character and personality. I had to come open to her and let her know my faults, and gradually I was lifted by her constant counsels. My mom was also there for me and my aunty, Martina. God just used these persons to administer extra dose to my soul.
Thanks so much bro, you just inspired someone.
May your testimony keep growing stronger with blazing fire. I tap into it and more Sir

Health › Acute Malnutrition Hits Nasarawa, 30 Children Dead, 2,000 Others Hospitalised by Cherez(op): 8:52am On Dec 11, 2018
Thirty children have been confirmed dead, while more than 2,000 are currently receiving attention for acute malnutrition in various medical centres across Nasarawa State.

The Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency’s Nutrition Officer, Hajiya Halima Yusuf, confirmed this at a two-day meeting of the state Committee on Food and Nutrition on Sunday in Lafia.
She explained that the children had in the last three months been admitted to 15 health care centres in 13 Local Government Areas and 18 development areas of the state following the increase in the cases of acute malnutrition and other diseases due to inadequate nutrition.

“About 30 children have lost their lives to acute malnutrition and over 2,000 children are currently receiving medical attention in various medical centres across the state,” Yusuf said.

She further explained that as a result of the rising cases of malnutrition, the state Primary Health Care Development Agency had embarked on an intensive community management of acute malnutrition programme across the state in order to address the crisis.

Earlier, the Nasarawa State Coordinator, Committee on Food and Nutrition, Mr Abdul Osama, emphasized the need for more campaigns on the importance of nutritious food.

On his part, the State Chairman, Committee on Food and Nutrition, Mr Emmanuel Alidzi, appealed for urgent action to address the cases of malnutrition in the state.

The Nutrition Focal Persons in the local government areas also called for budgetary provisions for nutrition at the local government level.

Northern City News reports that the meeting of the Committee on Food and Nutrition drew focal persons from all the local government areas of the state.

Hate is the tool of politicians. It's the playbook they use in dividing people: Christians are better than Moslem. Ibos are better than Afonja. If we can't operate a hate free country, then we are doomed.
And yes, I remember about four years ago when some folks urged GEJ to kick out Yoruba elders who wanted slots in his government because they hate the Yoruba. All these things hold us backwards and should be stopped
You claim leaders are the source of division but you just sold yourself out as one too.
Please kindly provide proof of people urging gej to kick out Yorubas due to HATE?

I don't see why people are blaming Buhari or apc... The blame should be on poor arrangement by the officials of PICA Lagos chapter, I also visited the Kano centre and things are coordinated well and the main problem is that some pensioniers did not come with complete records... Instead of blaming Buhari I rather blame pdp and the past leaders that refused to pay these people that served Nigerians and Nigeria when they were young.
Honestly, PMB isn't to blame entirely after all he has done his bit, it's the minister and the agency that should be blamed.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? APC AND THEIR BMCs BLAMED GEJ FOR SAME OCCURENCE ON JOB SEEKERS WHO DIED AT THE ABUJA STADIUM DURING SCREENING.

Whatever makes you sleep well at night. It is time igbos drop their pride, stop insulting yorubas and come work with us to restructure Nigeria after Buhari completes his tenure. What annoys most Nigerians about igbos are the insults and the empty boasts and chest beating.

The ugly incidences of the past few days are a symptom of a fierce battle for power and relevance in the south. We certainly can't continue like this, and the Igbos must humble themselves so that they will have a chance to control their destinies.
There's nothing proud in the Igbo man's attitude if not, why were they more supportive of GEJ.
You Yorubas were crying wolf during GEJ's term even when GEJ did nothing for Igbos; Igbos were just happy a minority is in power at least, NOT EVEN AN IGBO MAN oooooooooooooooo!
Bros, the Igbos are only sceptical about the Yorubas and same for Yorubas sceptical about Igbos, which in my opinion is justified from both sides.
So for now, I don't see trust anytime soon though I wish it came not just between us but also every other tribe in Naija, Hausas too
