The supreme Court already ruled on this. The courts have no jurisdiction over a party's internal affairs. Unless they intend to go back on their verdict and set a dangerous precedence. The undermining of our democracy using serving cabinet ministers and other political appointees will be well documented. This things you are posting is a bad PR to the officer and the retired officer. He could actually land in biggerproblems, even arrested and prosecuted.

The Minister represents the President. If he takes on the Minister then he is taking on the President and that's bad for him.

Interestingly, the retired officer wouldn't send his own son on such errand and when he was a young officer, he wasn't having a shouting match publicly with constituted authorities or behaving the way the young officer behaved to the Minister. If he was behaving like that he would not get to the pinnacle of his career.

FG will investigate the appropriateness of a serving or retired senior military officer to give order to a junior officer to restrain a Minister on his lawful duty from performing his duty.
That will be visited to ensure that such disgraceful scene never happens again.

That Junior Officer should have known the limits of his discretion and just kept quiet after saying he was obeying order which has now turned out to be an order given by a retired military officer.

So if tomorrow, retired or serving officers tell him to slap a government official, he will do it niyen.
