TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Chevronstaff:
Hallo ale. Guten Abend..

For those of us really interested in learning the german language, “LEARN GERMAN WITH JENNY” on Youtube has been of great help to me..It covers all levels from A1 to advanced ..

There are many videos on Youtube about the german language..You MIGHT even learn more on youtube than going to a language school. Una know the way our senior men for this trend already in Germany dey always stress about the language and how it can open doors..

I'm still in Naija sha neither have I applied to any school for Msc.. God willing ,I wanna be well grounded in the German Language before I enter Deutschland..Also trying to attain perfection concerning IT Skills and programming languages..Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations..Pray We See The Days We Dream About !!

I know its not rosy anywhere but one thing I know for sure is LIFE IN GERMANY IS 100 TIMES EASIER AND BETTER THAN LIFE IN NIGERIA AT THE MOMENT... !!! NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM!! D Naija when we dey, what has the government done for us?? Yet, here is a country (Germany) giving international students free education..

MY number one aim for Msc in Germany is to enjoy QUALITY AND SOUND EDUCATION in a developed country, in a world class university and get GOOD GRADES.. All other things (like good job) will definitely fall in place..Stay positive!!

Gute Nach alle zusammen .. Schlaf guf...

I remain CHEVRONSTAFF of nairaland!!!

@Chevronstaff
Don't even waste your time and resources on that (Msc in information system/technology) except you apply for a BSc. Information System.

There are alot of students who even have BSc. in Infor. Sys. who could not gain admission not to talk of someone who has no study background

in Info. Sys/Tech.

Even in Nigeria do you think you will be allowed to just change like that without doing like a Diploma or PgD. Not to now talk of Germany where they don't take chances at all.

Well there is no harm in trying tho.

My Own Opinion: Apply for a BSc. in Info. Sys. (If you have Passshocked Hion(In Arsene Wenger's voice) for it)
Or
Apply for courses like MSc. Financial Engineering or MSc. Actuarial and Financial Mathematics which also have

high concentrated level of IT skills. Am sure of Financial. Eng you will program well like say tomorrow no dey in R, C/C++ as well as some

Database Querying in MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB. etc.

Mate, the ball is in your court.

BlessUp & be Inspired
Thanks ...much appreciated...!!!!

1. I think all will boil down to your interview, motivation letter, and what ever they might require you to submit, however, a higher CGPA gives a higher chance.
2. I think so, the combination of skills is useful in today's world.
3. DAAD will solve that. Use the tool, apply to as many as possible then narrow down your options after admission.
4. IT I know, I also heard finance is big, but IT is king.
Tnks bro for the reply..God bless you..!!

I think I will just go for “Msc Information system,TUM” or Msc Information Technology at University of stuggart... I'm so passionate about IT..Worked hard to acquire much skills.. Above all, since IT is king in germany, then the prospect of getting a good job is very bright....
One last question bro: Hope I'm on track as a Bsc holder of accounting degree going for Msc in information system/technology..
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Chevronstaff:
Good evening all..

I've being following this trend for sometime and I have carefully read from part 1 to 4..
I studied Accounting in the University of Benin ..Well,I finished with a CGPA of 3.53..

I intend applying to the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for MSc ..My dream course for MSc is Finance and Information management..
I have learnt from previous parts that the German language is very important so I have already registered in a language school..Furthermore , knowing how important ICT is in developed countries ,I am undergoing further training in IT in Mikkon Institute of Technology,Benin City..

I HAVE FOUR QUESTIONS TO ASK

1.Will my low CGPA (3.53/5.0) reduce my chances of gaining admission to TUM ??

2.As a graduate of Accounting,I'm I on track with MSc .Finance and Information system??

3.Apart from TUM , which other “reputable university” in a “ BIG CITY” can be recommended in line with Finance,Accounting and ICT ?

4.What are the job prospects of a Finance / Accounting and information management graduate in Germany?
