@chi50

I tank u enuf for answering my questions promptly even wen u r not obligated too. but I just want to ask u sumtin about the form 157A.

1) can you throw more light to question 27 and 29. and how you filled urs.

2) in question 33 can I write a small SOP to fill d space and den add a well detailed and convincing SOP. Or should I leave it vacant den add d detailed SOP.

3) Plx wat do u undastand by question 49.

tanx and God bless.
1: it has to do with ur intended dates of arrival n departure. it depends on ur coe n adm letter. all u have to do is choose a date not more than 4 months to ur course commencement for arrival, and maybe a month or 2 after ur course for departure date. though ur visa will definitely be valid until the date ur oshc ends.

2: you can just write that due to insufficient space, u are attaching a separate sop together with ur application. atleast that's what I did.

3: I ticked "No" to dat question.

best of luck.

Thanks a lot for your Response; I really appreciate this... I also just realised that my Appointment Letter doesn't have my salary written on it; do you think it would be a challenge?
Not really because every company has their unique way of drafting their appointment letter and there's nothing u can do about that. However u can use ur pay slip if necessary.

@chi50 question 40 is about the details of ur close relative in your home country who is neither accompanying u or joining u in Australia. it can be my sibbling ryt

@all
Yes, ur siblings or parents will do. they just want to know that u have family here as an incentive to return. I used my dad.

no landed property or marriage cert or business
My dear, u mustn't have them n u shouldn't even think of fabricating any because they usually find out. like has been said always on this thread, there are so many other ways to beat GTE. your sop must be strong and convincing that u intend to come back home. I didn't show any of the above mentioned n I still got my visa.

Also like laminaria said, dnt forget to answer question 40.

@bolded i guess u meant to say employment letter.
@chetaray: make sure u fill question 40, landed property, marriage certificate (if married), Registered Business in naija etc.
Yes, I meant offer of employment letter.

plz reply me @ futuredon laminara chi50 ichilax lilspiceyy weemee
I dnt understand u. you can only use ur offer letter as home tie if it is clearly stated in d letter that d job will still be waiting for u wen u return. If u are 4 svp, then remember there are still other ways to prove ur gte.
An offer letter is however impt as evidence of ur work history so I guess u can swear an affidavit for it if u can't have it corrected. if ur employer is also willing to give u a ref letter, den it can also be stated there.
best of luck to u

hello chi50, if your question is about oshc, oga bellong & great futuredon has said it all, but if otherwise pls re-qoute me, IOM is good mail them and get booking confirmation. it takes two weeks for the processing. wlc on board!
Hi, I've been trying to reply ur pm, But still failing to deliver.

bellong:
@Chi50,

I guess your question has been answered. I only know you can enter 4 months before your program starts but must have covering health insurance for the period. This is not different from what Futuredon posted.

IOM offers subsidized ticket and baggage allowance. It is not a bad service. However, if you have a long transit in Dubai, you wouldn't be lodged in a temporary hotel for the next flight unlike if you book without them.
Thanks dear

Congrats on your visa sis, I happy for u well well. See below for a response to your question;

''Depending on the student’s circumstances, OSHC that starts up to a month before their course commences could be purchased. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they don’t enter Australia before their OSHC begins.'' (copied from International Education website).

So basically, you can make an adjustment to your OSHC (at a cost, I believe) by contacting your insurance provider or your institution - if you arranged yours through them.
Thanks dear, guess I'll contact them tomorrow and know what's up. because I'm sure there are people in this thread dat were able to travel even upto 4 months b4 their course.

Also, do u know anyone that used IOM recently. I'm planning to book thru them so I will like to hear abt people's experiences with their services.

hardest part was to say goodbye to your love ones. really enjoyed my flight from mmia to doha, from doha to perth and finally to Brisbane.....first time on-board, it is a nice experience and dream comes true. new world new life it is beyond what i can type here.
God will make it happen for everyone, no visa refusal In Jesus name.
Hi dear, I'm sure u are enjoying oz now. Please I want to clarify something. when is ur course starting? next year right? did ur visa have d clause abt not traveling till ur OSHC starts, or have u heard abt it b4 n How one can handle it? I hope to sort this out b4 traveling hopefully next month. I know it has been mentioned earlier on this thread But I cant find it again.
Also, did u use IOM services for ur bookings?

p.s: I won't mind getting a response from other Gurus in oz

pls I need help for Australia tourist visa....how exactly do I get to do it to get it right. ...
you actually have nothing to worry about. your account statement is well within d range. just study the immi.gov.au website for ur personal circumstances and the procedure for tourist visa. it is quite self explanatory.
the truth is dat most people here know abt student visas and PR route. But if u have any specific question after ur study/research then We can probably help then.
Also, I'll advise u to start ur processing on time to avoid Christmas rush and delay.

no1: you dnt fill any form at any embassy. you only tick a checklist at teleperformance showing d documents you are submitting. if u are talking abt form157A, then u can print out as many as u want from the internet for practice.

2: you only put ur salary if u are working. you will write the exact amount stated in ur offer of appointment. whether monthly or annually. You have to be honest.

3: ur school is eligible for svp n you are going for a bsc. so u dnt have to show any bank statement. But still have a backup plan because they reserve the right to ask you for it.

4: 3 response has covered this I believe. with svp u might not worry. But make sure that u have proof of relationship to ur sponsor handy, just in case

Congratulations sister. Your Testimony is a morale booster too... just want to know some things;

1. Did you still go on to write any financial declaration... what did you do about the bank statement ish?
2. The Salary column on the form, did you fill it or you left it blank?
I'm also an SVP 573, please help a brother... thanks
my timeline is this:
submitted to teleperformance on 28th Sept, got to Pretoria on 1st Oct, got d visa today 15th Oct.
No, I didn't include any bank statement or financial declaration, But in my sop, I used style to say that I have access to funds ( while secretly praying they don't ask me 4 any evidence oh).
on the form I put my annual salary because I have work experience.
I also wasn't called 4 any interview luckily.
I can say that a lot is based on having a convincing sop and God's grace ofcourse.
