Benefits of Exercising
There are many health benefits attach to regular exercising, regardless of age, sex, health complications or even physical ability.

Exercising regularly is a big part of a healthy lifestyle and it is advisable that you stick to it for a healthier life.

There are many reasons to exercise, most people exercise to lose weight, eventually losing weight is just part of the cheese. If your only goal is to lose weight, you might not eventually stick to your workout schedule. So it’s important to know the benefits of exercising as it will keep you motivated and stick to your regular regimen.

Most importantly your exercise routine should be based on the your health status and age. Everyone, no matter what his/her physical condition are, can definitely engage in some form of exercise.

We have come up with a list of solid reasons and benefits of exercising your body.

Exercise controls weight
One of the most common reason people exercise is to lose weight or maintain weight loss. The best part is that the more you exercise, the more you are able to burn calories, the more calories you burn will effectively speed up your metabolism.

Engaging in Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain and help in maintaining weight loss. You can engage in early morning workouts or better still enroll yourself in a gym.

One of the normal age-related change in our body is the loss of bone mineral strength. Exercising is the key to keep the bones strong and vibrant.

Running is one of the most effective form of exercise that is required to lose weight and maintain weight.

Builds aerobic power.
Building your aerobic power should be your most important reason to exercise.
Sarcopenia, which is refers to as a typical loss of muscle strength with age, is best reversed by weight-lifting exercise.

Normally, people loss at least 1 percent of their aerobic power per year. The aerobic capacity is the body competency to work at a maximum capacity by getting oxygen from the air to the body’s tissues.

Let’s say we lose 10 percent per decade, and if you start calculating by the age of 50, which means that people can lose up to 40 percent of their maximum aerobic capacity by the time they clock 80 years. Exercise can at least help to reduce the loss to half, which means you will lose only 20 percent against 40 percent within the 30-year period.

Exercising your muscle and keeping your muscles strong will go a long way to help you maintain a healthy body mass and also stay more aerobically fit.

You may need to upgrade up your moderate aerobic routine to at least 300 minutes or even more a week.

Benefits of exercising before breakfast
Exercising before breakfast comes with an increase health benefits, it helps burn more fats, improve how the body responds to insulin and lowers people’s risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. So it is more advisable to exercise before grabbing breakfast.

Exercise combats health conditions and diseases

Risk of Lowers Type 2 diabetes.
The increase in the pervasiveness of Type 2 diabetes is gradually becoming a world-wide public health emergency. The impediments of adult-onset Type 2 diabetes can post a potential serious threat to your physical well-being.

The most effective way to stave off this disease is engaging yourself in regular physical exercise which is a key for you to improve your body’s ability to digest and process glucose.

Chronic Hypertension
The most common cause of chronic hypertension is the increasing of plaque in the arteries which builds up from the consumption of a high-fat diet.

Exercising will help you reduce your blood pressure to some extent, by attacking the plaque in your arteries. Thus, as the arteries widen it gives way for the blood to flow through more freely, and eventually your blood pressure starts to drop.

Hypertension also decreases as a result of exercising, because the ability of your health to pump blood effectively through the arteries basically depends on how strong your heart muscle is.

Engaging in exercise will keep your blood-flow running smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases it can also manage many health problems and concerns, including:

Stroke
Metabolic syndrome
Type 2 diabetes
Depression
Anxiety
Arthritis
Many types of cancer

Builds muscle mass.
Regular exercising also helps in building your muscles. The pressure of your muscles against your bones is what helps your bones to get the maximum benefit of weight lifting. If you don’t engage in any regular weight-lifting you might stand a chance of losing at least 1 percent of your muscle strength each year.

Benefits of strength training
Since, we tend to reach our peak bone and muscle mass by the time we are 30, and by 40s we began to lose it. We can slow down or even reverse this process by specifically engaging in resistance training (lifting weights) for at least 3 - 4 days a week and proper nutrition.

Examples of strength training include lifting free weights, using weight machines or doing body-weight training.

Exercising helps transports oxygen and nutrients to your tissues, thus, helping your cardiovascular system to work more proficiently. Keeping your heart and lung in good shape can grant you more energy to carry out your daily activities.

So it’s necessary you keep your bones and muscles strong and vibrant as it also decreases your chances of osteoporosis and helps you stay more aerobically fit.

Exercise puts the spark back into your sex life
Are you too out of shape or too tired to engage and enjoy physical intimacy? There’s good news, engaging in regular physical exercising can improve your energy levels and make you more fit which in turn can benefit and boost your interest and ability to carry out your sexual activity. Also your emotional morale will also be greater if you engage in exercises, this can greatly benefit your relationship health.

Keeping your muscles active helps in stimulating the demands placed on your endocrine glands to produce more hormones. The greater the muscle mass, comes greater stimulation to produce androgens, this can help both men and women to maintain their sexual functioning.

Most men who engage in regular exercise are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than those who don't exercise.

Reduces the risk of arthritis.
One of the most commonly experienced chronic illness especially in middle-aged and older adults is arthritis, it usually occurs due to some abnormalities in the cartilage and outgrowth of bones in the joints.

The best type of exercise to reduce the chances of arthritis doesn’t really depend on weight training exercise or heavy duty. In fact, engaging in the wrong type of exercise may even intensify your risk of arthritis.

The most effective way to diminish your chance of arthritis is to engage in Tai Chi or yoga (stretching and flexibility training) or any other related form of exercise, this will increase the range of movement in your joints and in the course guard your joints from damage which might have been caused by overuse. This will lower your risk of injury through your muscle tears or torn ligaments.

Exercise improves immune functioning.
The immune system is the mechanism that protects your body system from infection and other chemical toxins you might have come across with.

The immune system also plays a part in maintaining a healthy response to stress. Experts has described “immune senescence” as an unavoidable result of aging, we now know better that those studies showing these unavoidable declines were mostly conducted on people who didn’t engage in exercising.

In fact, engaging in short-term exercise programs can reverse some of the these stated deleterious effects of aging.

Brings about better sleep.
Though it is not recommended to exercise right before you go to bed, it might make you too energized to sleep. Exercise during the day benefits you more and boost your sleep at night.

Getting the right amount of sleep at night also improves your immune system functioning and in turn lowers your risk for heart disease, cognitive impairment and diabetes.

So engaging in physical exercise helps promotes better sleep, the physical exercise you engage yourself in during the day helps boosts your body’s circadian rhythm to keep in line.

Benefits of exercising in the morning
Study found out that participants who exercised in the morning (6am – 8am) experience deeper, long sleep than those who exercise in the afternoon or evening. Morning exercise are the best way reap all of the sleep benefits of exercise.

Are struggling to doze off? Just engage yourself in regular physical exercise, it can help you fall asleep faster.

Lower risk of depression.
People who tends to exercise regularly are more likely to have lower risk of slipping into depression.

Engaging in aerobic exercise can improves your mood by instigating your body’s endorphins “feel good” neurotransmitters to set in. These neurotransmitters normally start to manifest their effects after 15 - 20 minutes of exercise. Which in turn can eventually boosts your general mental health over the long term

Exercise improves mood
Whenever you need an emotional lift, Or you probably need to ease off some stress after a stressful day, engaging in a gym session or doing some mini workout can ignite various brain chemicals (endorphins) that may finally make you feel happier, less anxious and more relaxed.

Exercise and physical activity can be fun and enjoyable.
Most people engage in a group exercise class because they enjoy the social
opportunities that comes in it.

Are you bored? Take a yoga class, join a soccer team, hit the hiking trails. Just find a physical activity that you enjoy, and just do it. It is important that you find the right kind of exercise that align with your health and also fits your personality and motivational needs.

Well, whatever physical exercise you settle for, once you get committed into a routine, you will discover the activity itself becoming refreshing and rewarding.

Possibly, it’s the setting in of endorphins or probably the social supports from your gym-mates. Whatsoever the case may be, dedicated exercisers loves the “natural-high” feeling they get and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Exercise can give you an opportunity to relax and unwind, it can also help you to connect with family or friends in a fun environment setting that gives you joy.

Conclusion
Exercise and physical activity are great ways to keep your body energized, improve your health, feel better and have fun.

I hope that you have already figure out the part of exercise you want and you have probably put on your sneakers, and you are already ready to go.

No matter what your age, or health status is, exercise can help you achieve a lot of greater physical and mental contentment.

You can engage in many activities such as; walking, running, or swimming. No matter the type of exercise you settle for just get to it! It adds up to provide health benefits.

Always check in with your consultant before initiating a new exercise program, especially if you have any concerns about your health status or probably you haven't exercised for a long time.

These are just few important reason to exercise, there are many other tons of reason to engage in exercising.

And all you got to do now is get off of the couch, put on your sneakers and start moving. You got this. Now get up and get to it!

Race for a coronavirus vaccine has been underway at an exceptional rate, with more than 80 groups around the world participating on them.

Progress has been made in the fight against coronavirus, it has been recorded that a vaccine which can train people's immune system to fight coronavirus is underway, as reported by a company in the US.

“Neutralising antibodies were found in the first eight people who took part in their safety trials” said Moderna

It was also reported that the immune response was similar to that in people who are already infected with coronavirus.

The experimental vaccine called mRNA-1273 was first tested by Moderna in people.

The vaccine which is a small snippet of the coronavirus's genetic code, which is injected into the patient. It is enough to provoke a response from the immune system, though it is not proficient enough to cause an infection or the symptoms of Coronavirus.
It was reported that the vaccine can lead to the production of antibodies which can neutralise the coronavirus.
The vaccine trials are being run by the US government's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

The vaccine study is tamed as a phase 1 trial because it is designed to test whether the vaccine is safe, rather than if it is effective.

Experiments conducted on mice shows that the vaccine could prevent the virus from replicating in their lungs. It will however take more trials to see if people are protected against the virus

"These interim phase 1 data, while early, demonstrate that vaccination with mRNA-1273 elicits an immune response of the magnitude caused by natural infection," said Dr Tal Zaks, chief medical officer at Moderna.
The vaccine trial for these neutralising antibodies has only taken place on the first eight out of 45 people on trial.

Those on the trial were either taking a low, middle or high dose. Those who took the highest dose was linked to most side-effects.

Though, Moderna said that even people taking the lowest dose had antibodies at the same levels seen in patients who recover from coronavirus, and antibodies "significantly exceeded" those in recuperated patients for people on the middle dose.

"These data substantiate our belief that mRNA-1273 has the potential to prevent Covid-19 disease and advance our ability to select a dose for pivotal trials."
Moderna said it hope to start a large-scale trial in July, and that investigating are already underway on how to produce the vaccine at large scale.

HealthImportance Of Boosting The Immune System by chibestjerry(op): 9:13pm On May 18, 2020
The Coronavirus outbreak had made us realize how important our immune system is to our body.

In our body there is a defense mechanism present.
Which consists of platelets. When anything, literally anything enters the body, these white blood cells recognized these particles as foreign and produce anti-bodies against them.

It is important that our immune system are strong to performed well at all time. Otherwise, our body become open and vulnerable to virus, sadly, we are surrounded by viruses and bacteria.

How Can We Boost our Immune System to Perform Well?
Fruits and vegetables are very important because it contains important nutrients like vitamins C and A those vitamins can go a long way in boosting our immune system. Also, they have strong anti-oxidants.

Many possible efforts can be done to boost our immunity system. But living a healthy lifestyle is the key. Our lifestyle really matters. Our general habits are the input of our whole life output.

Quality and Quantity:
There are two things. Quality and quantity. Quantity of life is out of our order. It is in the hands of supernatural power. We have no control over the quantity of life. But we can control the quality of life. This really depends upon our health. A healthy lifestyle includes eating well, getting enough sleep, and avoiding bad habits which suck our life.

Maintain a Balanced Diet
A balanced diet is helpful in boosting our immunity. Our diet must contain a balance nutrition ratio.
Consuming dietary fiber can help a lot in increasing immunity.

Understand that  Quality Sleep Means Good Health
Getting enough sleep especially at night is very important for your good health.
Here, we are talking about the quality of the sleep, not quantity. Quality sleep period is almost between 9pm to 4am. It keeps us fit and energetic. And help to fight against diseases. Also quality sleeping behavior keeps us active all day.

Exercise
Exercise is a necessary habit everyone should adapt to. It enhances our metabolism rate, Exercise has endless benefits on our body.
Daily exercise speeds up our digestion process. It also regulates our hormonal cycle. According to research people who exercise daily or 5 days in week are less valuable to diseases.

Positive Mental Health
Exercise your mind in a positive manner. Feed it positive material.

Your mental health directly effects your physical health. So its necessary to have a strong positive emotional IQ.

If you are not mentally prepared then even minor diseases like flu can lead you to death. Mental weakness also weakens your immunity.

Thus the popular saying “If you think you lose. Definitely, you will lose”

Health is all about positive thinking. We should adopt healthy measures to live a long life.

Avoid/Stop Smoking and Alcohol Consumption
Smoking sucks your whole body organs and potentially damage your kidney. Smoke contains some harmful carcinogens which destroy your health.
And same in the case of alcohol and drugs, they denature our normal body functions. Thus, weakening our immune system.
It may decrease body efficiency and the ultimate result in the collapse of the body.

Naturally the older we get, our immunity get weaker. Older people are more vulnerable to diseases and Virus.

Supplements to boost immunity:
Many foods can be consumed to boost immunity.
Supplements such as; Yogurt, Dry fruits, Ginger, Garlic and Citrus fruits, etc.

Vitamins to Boost Immunity.
Vitamin A
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Zinc Iron and Folic acid etc.

Conclusion
To live a healthy and prolong life we have to adopt healthy measures. Without a healthy lifestyle, our immune system does not stand any chance of combating virus thus, we can’t survive.
A strong immune system can be said to stand as a battle soldier against virus and gems.
Exercising daily, having enough balance diet, avoid smoking and alcohol intake can  go a long way to keep our immune system strong.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to lose a combined $83 million due to huge coronavirus wage cuts

Both Spain and Italy has suspended soccer indefinitely due to the pandemic that has killed nearly 300,000 people across the globe.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are reportedly set to take huge wage cuts due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Juventus Star could see the loss of $20 million in wages, with Juventus preparing to cut its players salaries by 30%, according to Forbes. The 34-year-old currently earns $66 million annually before tax.

FC Barcelona are already in talks to cut its player's wages by as much as 70% to control the financial fallout, according to Forbes, which would see Messi's annual pre-tax pay packet fall from $90 million to $27 million.

It is not yet clear if Messi will take a full 70% wage cut, but Forbes reports that Messi's wages could be reduced by almost $50 million, a cut of around 55% from his current pay packet.

However, due to their numerous endorsement deals, Messi and Ronaldo would still be two of the three highest paid football players in the world even If the pay cuts is to be implemented as reported.
Ronaldo's deals with Nike and EA will keep his income at $91 million, says Forbes.

Messi also has mega money deals with both Adidas and Pepsi which would help keep his yearly earnings at around $78 million

Chai. I missed the 225 party too. But make I follow stand here grin

I want to thank all who have been here with me on this journey these 3 years. I always knew that by the grace of the Almighty that we would be here this long. I have famously said that this is a story that will not end, even though these days I will say that it is a story that will not end any time soon grin

I want us to see 2 million views on this thread! 1 million would have happened a lot earlier if we hadn't moved to the permanent sight. And we would probably have also reached page 300 by now. But it's all good. katakatastreet.com or not, this is still a Nairaland story. I still love it here. The permanent sight mainly allows me to comfortably write f.uck as what it is and not Bleep. And for that, I am very grateful grin

It was nice seeing folks register on page 225. May I specially mention maggilove. It's unbelievable that it was her first comment. I always saw her viewing on the bottom of the page all the time all these years and I was sure she had said something on the thread. Nice to have you here ma'am.

Seeing tsharp, YINKS89, INDUSTRIALFAN on page 225 as well was super heartwarming. These guys have been there as early as pages 1 and 4. Incredible. Thanks guys. You rock!

And then I should thank all the newer fans and the ghost readers who still had the mind to remain ghosts all this time. God bless you o! But know that I am still here because guys like EkopSparoAyara, Ann2012 never stopped rooting. If they were also ghosts, I'm not sure we would have seen page 225. Most times, it only takes those words of encouragement to remove writer's block and have the juice flowing again for yet another episode.

I also particularly loved those "I used to be a ghost reader but I have repented" comments. At some point, I made sure to respond to every single one of them. Thanks guys.

Now I should mention some of my old favourites I don't see that much anymore but who have made this journey worth the while. sheycrown, preetiex, HelenBee, DaV8King, Dhavido, honourable356, Pinkfeet, kikiwendy, KpagoGIN, phoenixchap, MhizSuccess, and others too numerous to mention. I suspect most of you have now become ghosts grin I appreciate y'all.

Let's keep doing this guys. See you at the permanent site wink kiss

SportsThe Fate Of Football After Covid19 by chibestjerry(op): 3:19am On May 16, 2020
More than 4.3million people have been infected and more than 300,000 deaths have been recorded around the globe. For the first time in a decade fans have no game to watch and players has no game to play, and to varying degrees, sports events have been cancelled or postponed, only some few countries such as Turkmenistan, Belarus, Nicaragua and Tajikistan have continued their sporting activities as usual.

The pandemic that has surge the world means we live in a time of force majeure; situations that is beyond the control of the general mass to prevent or control and is impacting massively on the life of the people.

The Coronavirus pandemic has caused the most substantial disruption to the football calendar across the world. Sport, gradually, has closed down, the global health services are struggling and many people have already suffered or died due to the pandemic.

FIFA Cancel The Best Awards
FIFA have decided to cancel The Best awards ceremony for 2020. The trophy will go without a winner this year.
The event which was supposed to take place in September this year in Milan was cancelled due to the pandemic.

'France Football' has not yet decide their plan with the Ballon d'Or.

Some club finals and league highlights recommended, June and July. Though the European Championship and Copa America was postponed until 2021. There’s more disquieting issues such as when the 2020-21 season might begin.

Premier League postponed indefinitely
During the meeting of Premier League Shareholders on 3 April, 2020, clubs deliberated in detail how to respond to the coronavirus global pandemic.

The shareholders agreed that the Premier League will not resume at the beginning of May, the 2019/20 season will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so. The resumption date is under constant review with all stakeholders, “as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic surges and we work together through this very challenging time” they said

It was reaffirmed that the superseding priority is to aid the health and wellbeing of the nation and the communities, including players, managers, coaches, club staffs and supporters.

Italy's Serie and A Spain's La Liga have also grounded their activities along with Eredivisie, Liga NOS, MLS and others.

What will be the fate of football after the pandemic?
The uncertainty if leagues will be able to finish 2019/20 season is still on the air, beyond that football won’t return to normal for a long time in a while.
Sandra Zampa undersecretary at the Italy’s health ministry said that “Full Stadium can only be seen again when we have a vaccine” even though the vaccine is reckoned to be about 18 months away from being available. That means to say that next season will be played behind closed doors, if at all it will be played.

First questions should be will be when will we defeat the pandemic, the WHO recently said that we might never get rid of the pandemic permanently

What will be the Fate of Liverpool?
The Liverpool have been chasing their first league title in 30 years since 1990.
Liverpool were already closing to grab the Premier League title before the season was eventually suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the question that has been on everybody lips is will the Reds still be crowned champions if the season cannot be completed?

Liverpool have been a cut above the rest in the Premier League this season. The Jurgen Klopp's side have won 27 out of 29 games they played, and lost just once, gaining up to 25-point gap over second-placed Manchester City.

“Of course, we don’t want to play in front of an empty stadium and we don’t want games or competitions suspended, but if doing so helps one individual stay healthy - just one - we do it no questions asked” Jurgen Klopp said.

Liverpool need just two wins to be confirmed as champions

The Premier League intends to resume play when is it safe to do so and several meetings have taken place to discuss plans for the rest of the campaign

Many Club Will Go Bankrupt
Many clubs will get close to bankruptcy, if the pandemic still persists and it seems impossible to resume the calendar by early summer.
Teams as big as Schalke and Burnley are already under threat of bankruptcy. The loss of revenue is both enormous, unplanned for and mostly the case of force majeure is usually uninsured.

But each club, no matter how small, is a myriad of fans who have lost their jobs might cancel their TV subscription and season tickets.

Companies in financial crises might put a hold on their shirt sponsorship and VIP boxes; even some owners will want to exit football after probably losing fortunes during the pandemic.

There Will Be Cheaper Transfer Rate
The price of footballers will collapse, near bankruptcy clubs will be forced to sell some of their best players at a rock-bottom price, which makes it a good opportunity for some clubs like Chelsea and Ajax that was ban during last year summer transfer. The popular saying in recession “Cash is King” because anyone will money have the most opportunity to but assets cheap.

Many moves this summer will happen without money changing hands; many club won’t want to sell at a bargain-basement price unless of course they have to.
Barcelona bought Ousmane Dembele for €105 million in 2017 now they are struggling to sell him for half of that amount, Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, predicts more swap deals because the only way Barca will be able to secure Neymar is by offering Paris Saint German several stars in return as they don’t have the €200 million to offer PSG now.

Wage Cut Looms Premier League
Since the suspension of matches began there has been a significant and continuing losses of the 2019/20 season. So to protect employment throughout the professional game, some Premier League clubs agreed to consult their players regarding a combination of conditional reductions and deferrals amounting to 30% of total annual wage.

Arsenal executive team recently agreed to waive more than a third of their salaries over the next 12 months.
"We are proud and grateful to our players and staff for pulling together to support our club, our people and our community in these unprecedented times which are some of the most challenging we have faced in our history," the statement added.

The club's core coaching staff are also among those taking cuts to their pay.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder and CHIEF executive Stephen Bettis also agreed bonus deferrals and partial pay (to assist the club's cash flow).

West Ham, Southampton and Watford are the other Premier League clubs to have agreed wage deferrals with their first-team squads.

Does that means I should expose myself to those blood thirsty mosquitoes in my room.
Those living are so obstinate . No matter the effectiveness of Sniper , they will resurface again
Hahah
Well not yet, scientist are yet to release the microbes into the wild... it will take time before they will be able to release the quantity that will cover our country

Its a work in progress
HealthScientist Discovers A Microbe That Stop Mosquitoes From Spreading Malaria by chibestjerry(op): 2:10am On May 13, 2020
Scientist has discover a Microbe That Can Stop Mosquitoes from Spreading Malaria

Malaria is a life threatening disease it is typically spread through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes.

More than 400,000 people are killed by malaria each year, most of them children under the age of five.

Though progress has been made through the use of bed nets and spraying homes with insecticide, it is widely agreed new methods are needed to tackle malaria.

Scientists have taken a different turn in finding a solution to eradicate malaria since malaria is spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes, so protecting the mosquitos could in turn protect people.

The team of scientist in Kenya and the UK discovered that a new type of spore forming single celled microbe found in mosquitoes, which they called Microsporidia MB has the amazing ability to stop the transmission of plasmodium falciparum the Parasitic Protozoan which cause malaria. The team says that the finding has "enormous potential" to control the disease.

What is this microbe?
The anti-malaria bug, Microsporidia MB, was recently discovered by examining mosquitoes on the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya. It exists in the gut and genitals of the insects. Microsporidias are fungi, and most are parasites.

The scientists could not find any of the mosquito carrying the Microsporidia that was still harboring the malaria organism. And lab research, published in Nature Communications, established the microbe gave the mosquitoes shield from malaria.

However, this new species may be beneficial to the mosquito and was naturally found in around 5% of the insects studied.

How does the microbe stop malaria?
The presence of the microbe in the insect can have a profound effect on the mosquito's metabolism, making it unhostile for the malaria parasite. Or Microsporidia MB could be grooming the mosquito's immune system, to enable it fight off infections.

Microsporidia MB infections seems to be life-long. If anything, the research show that they become more strong, so the malaria-blocking effect would be long-lasting.

When can this be used against malaria?
At least, 40% of mosquitoes in a region needs to be infected with Microsporidia in order to make a significant impact in malaria.

The microbe can be distributed between adult mosquitoes and can also be passed from the female to her offspring.

So, the researchers are investigating two main strategies for increasing the number of infected mosquitoes.

Male mosquitoes can be infected in the lab and released into the wild to infect the females when they have sex.

"It's a new discovery. We are very excited by its potential for malaria control. It has enormous potential," Prof Steven Sinkins, from the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research said.

Whats the Next line of action?
The scientists are still carrying out plan to perform more tests in Kenya to understand how the microbe spreads.

The Microbe will not kill the mosquitoes, so it wouldnt not have an impact on the ecosystems that are dependent on them as food for survival.

Good write-up, thumb up to you!
Edge computing can no longer be called emerging technology, Osmotic computing has partially taken its show. Check it out! There are also more emerging technologies like smart skin, Li-Fi technology, pervasive computing, smart mobility, 3D-internet, ambient intelligence, deep learning, calm technology and so on
thank you for the enlightenment, i will edit it on my blog ASAP

Nice writeup but...
This thread should not be in politics session of this nairaland platform
It should be in Education/Career or Tech wing.
My bad, i think i was on Technology forum, am. Just noticing it now.
It's there a way i can move it to Tech forum

And what happens when the technology is been deployed? Thousands will loose their job in quick succession. If it must be introduced, it should be gradual and also the impending economic meltdown should also be considered too.
It's already gradual since some of these tech started emerging about 10 - 15years ago, so it's left fot those that don't want to lose their job to join the train.

That's part of what killed Nokia and Blackberry, Android was taking the market in full speed, the people love the OS, but nokia was bent on microsoft os, eventually their ship sank...

Either we like it or not, at some point we need to re-strategize our product or services to our rapid changing environment

What then are we supposed to do? Stop innovation and remain static because some people will loose their jobs sad
New technologies have always proven to create more jobs, directly or indirectly, than was lost with their introduction.
Very correct, there are already thousands of engineer working on quantum computing and when its complete there will be more need for experts and engineers... There's already a shortage of professional workers in some of the field hence the slow evolution of some of the technology

No. 5 . There are fewer jobs out there, with rapid automation there will surely be a huge loss in job opportunities which are already battling.
Well i don't really think so, introducing these technologies will require engineers, AI experts and maintenance crew.

Truthfully it will take many job away so will it bring massive opportunities to others
