Thanks for your contribution looks like I am pretty much on course.
With regards to your highlighted question, I am planning to pick up any available job, working only 8 hours per day can afford me the chance of having 5 hours to study every day and also help me to pay my bills.
The plan is to live very moderately for the first 1 year. If I can do 5 hours of study every day for a year I believe I should be able to fully cover these curriculum.

Then I chose Calgary cos I considered the cost of living and housing, since my target for the first 1 year is to fully equip myself with the required skills so my priorities are a low living cost for a year pending when I am fully armed with my Data Science/Machine learning skills.

Today, i will be taking us through the difference between professional masters degree and Academic masters degree.

university of Lagos offers both professional masters and academic masters.

professional masters are work related masters degree, it is only useful in your work environment, most of the profession masters done in unilag are usually on part-time basis. professional master degree can not be used to apply for PHD. professional masters offered in university of Lagos are:

1 MBA
2 Master of Project Management (MPM)
3 Master in Public and International Affairs (MPIA)
4. MIT
5. Masters in Managerial Psychology (MMP
etc

academic masters degree are the conventional masters degree that can be used to apply for PHD for those that want to do PHD. as the name implies, it is an academic masters. 90 percent of courses run in unilag are academic masters related courses.

QUICK ONE

University of Lagos postgraduate form comes out June of every year, for 2019/2020 session, expect the application to kick start by June 2019.

Unilag accepts all degree from any NUC accredited university, though those with third class are limited with choices of course to apply for.

HND holders cannot apply For most courses offered at postgraduate level in university of Lagos aside MBA and few professional courses.

Unilag accepts statement of result during application but when fully admitted, you need to present transcript to postgraduate school.
