shymmex: I don't know why Ben Gordon don't want to play for them.
He probably thinks all hope is not lost with regards to playing for the US

To be serious though he was selected for the pre olympic training camp but said it could not commit because of his trade. Probably to do with his Insurance or something of that sort
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Lithuania Olympics Basketball 2012 ( 53 - 72) On Tuesday 31st July by chic2pimp(m): 6:32pm On Jul 31, 2012
buzugee: i aint said he wasnt a great player. he made all star a few times. however he fizzled out quickly. some would say he didnt get to his potential.
He fizzled out because of Injuries.
Injuries robbed him of the best part of his career. Grant Hill was another one.
Even with that he was still ranked in Slam Magazine's Top 75 players of all time

shymmex: Those post moves aren't consistent... And don't compare that guy to THE DREAM.. Olajuwon had it all!!

Shaq was a MONSTER - both offensively and defensively!!!
They are not yet consistent. It will become more consistent and efficient the longer he plays in the league.
Hakeem did not develop all of his ridiculous moves overnight. And neither did Kevin Mchale. It took time

I'm not comparing him to the dream. All I'm saying is that one or two of those moves woulda made Olajuwon smile.

shymmex: Luol Deng is the one carrying the team.
If GB had another 2 All Star Calibre player besides Deng I reckon they'll be a force.
Unexpected result I must say.... Did not think it will be this close

buzugee: whats Tmac gotta do with this ? Tmac is a good player if he does not have to share the ball. thats his problem. he was bound to get found out to be a scrub sooner or later in team basketball. he is a very good selfish player. kinda like iverson. they dont like sharing the ball. their shine depends on complete monopoly of the ball. when you are that type of player, when you age-thats it. you are done. the reason why nash and billups will be in the league till their 40s or late thirties is because they play extrememly good team basketball.

anyway back to rubio and beasly. both fan favorites but scrubs when it comes to crunch time. there is a reason they did not make the playoffs
C'mon now TMAC in his prime was a great player. Injuries slowed him down and practically killed his game.
Btw most SG are Ball hogs. It's second nature to them.

shymmex: Blake Griffin is just about the dunks - the guy can shoot for shyte...

The best PF in the NBA is Lamarcus Aldridge, period... The guy creates his own shots, something both Love and Griffin can't do - and he can play DEFENSE!!

All the pundits you named are just big mouths who like to sound politically correct, and Steve Smith is an empty barrel (God knows that guy is freaking annoying and loud lol).. Sir Charles is a comedian, Shaq is a retard lol, and Kenny Smith was a bum when he played the game... grin

The two pundits I rate are the Fab 5 crew - Chris Webber and Jalen Rose...
Blake Griffin is not all about the dunks.
I've seen the dude pull off some impressive post moves that would make the likes of the Dream and McHale proud.
Also most people say Shaq is all about the dunks that still did not stop him from being one of the TOP 3-4 centres in NBA history

anonymous6: True but the only black influence he has had is African American ex. Reverend wright, any way we can't argue with whhat Obama identifies as which is African American. sometimes the wife has a strong influence in what path or community you assimilate in
What he identifies himself as is not issue being discussed here.
Whether he was influenced by the African American culture is the issue being discussed and the answer I'm sorry to say is a blatant No!!!
The man use to walk around Going to College rocking an Afro like he was Dr J or some Pimpp out of a 1970s movie...LmL
That man was definitely influenced by black american culture...just google old images of him.

You can tell by the way he talks, his swagger....

30 years of his Life was spent in African American Culture and more importantly "American" Culture..in the 3 largest mega Cities in the United States.

What person are you people talking about? LmL

Yeah this guy below wasn't influenced by Black American Culture.... grin grin grin
LMFAOOOOOOOO @ talking like an African American. Yh we all can see that.

The fact remains the most crucial part of his development was under the supervision of his WHITE Grandparents.

No matter what way and hard u try to twist it, he simply wasn't influenced by the African American Culture. His WHite Grandparents takes all the credit for that
Culture › Re: Interracial Children: Which Culture? by chic2pimp(m): 7:36pm On Jul 30, 2012
anonymous6: I don't think you understand what I am saying, no matter what Obama heritage will be Kenyan and white American but he was never raised in the Kenyan culture, his father was never there. he was raised in the culture and influenced by his country and white side, which is African American and white American. for example Boris Kidjoe has a very similar background to Obama but his cultural identification that he lives 24/7 is not Ghanian.
I very well understood what u were trying to say.

Obama was not raised and niether was he influenced by the African American Culture.
The only tie that links him back to the African American culture is that of his wife.
His sound upbringing was mainly due to the fact that he was raised by his White Grandparents and the little time he spent in Indonesia.
It has Absolutely nothing to do with the African American Culture.

kengis: very funny LMAO
Very Indeed bro.
I'm LMFAO again

anonymous6: well he is, he identifies as one, his wife is one, his mentor Reverend Wright was African American so in a way he is but not completely because some of his influences was his white American side
No he is not.
That his wife is an African American does not mean he himself is culturally one.
The fact that I have attended a few White churches in my life time does not make me culturally white.

I probably have more in common with my Japanese neighbour's culture than he does with the African American Culture
Culture › Re: Interracial Children: Which Culture? by chic2pimp(m): 6:21pm On Jul 30, 2012
anonymous6: True but when a black boy is adopted by a white family, their female influence is a white female and since the western world demonizes black women when it comes to being below the ladder especially in America it is inevitable they will fall for the trap easily, but I am not saying it is the excuse majority of the time

Well you are right black American culture is europeanized, when it comes to the difference between Boris and Obama you are right; at least Obama visited Kenya three times while Boris never did however in the end of the day both Obama and Boris are african american culturally and have assimilated into the african american community, both have african american wives, both have black African fathers, and both were raised outside Africa. I am not against it actually, to me majority of the time where you are raised and who your mother is really makes a big difference. I actually think both men are good men but are not culturally african.
LMFAO @ Obama being culturally African American.

afam4eva: You have said it all. I challenge any sub-group in the whole of Africa to come out and tell me they have more harworking people than Ndi-Anambra or thaat they can boast of more millonaires than Anambra. Anambra is homw to the most educated and at the same time the most illiterate people in Igboland. Anambra is the shining light of Ala-Igbo and a state of firsts.

Having said all these things, the truth has to be said about the social and economic well being of Anambra. Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka are the three most important cities but they've all under-performed and that is because Anambra has not being able to give technocrats the opportunity to turn those places into first world cities. I see no reason why Onitsha cannot thump Lagos as the commercial center of Nigeria or even compete with world class commercial and financialcenters such as New York, LOndon and Frankfurt. But first let's vote for someone in the mould of Soludo.

Anambra Kwenu!!

Onegai: the music tribute started from the 50s all the to the 90s, my mum sang and danced all through the music tribute, we were all singing, depending on your age, so it was lovely. the movie tribute was from Charlie Chaplin to Hugh Grant, over a 100 years of film. If you're not exposed to british culture, you won't get it. They had Mary friggin Poppins, Cruella deVille and Capt. Hookum and those spooky things from Harry Potter. How could you not get that? They had David Bowie, the Beatles, Lollipop, Frankie goes to Hollywood (Relax, just do it), Annie Lennox...
Very british.
