that is where he got it wrong in my opinion.
he should have sacked anelka, alex and lampard the moment he took the job. lampard was poison in the dressing room and he had friends in the media too.
all they had to do was wait for chelsea to draw/lose with lampard on the bench and the media would kick up dust that it was because of lampard's absence chelsea failed to pick all the 3 points.

That would have proved suicidal. This is akin to a new manager taking over the reigns at Barca and then immediately sets about getting rid of Xavi. That's how important Lamps is to chelsea

^^^^ I don't see it. That kiev side had extremely talented players like Sheva,Rebrov and Kaladzhe. And there were oe of the best sides in europe in the late 90s. This Apoel side is more about team ethic than anything else

I guess u mean the top four?
Cos i don't think i have read anything in this regard here
Quite a number of  people on this forum have claimed other teams in La Liga won't make the top 6 let alone top 4.

Out of the window goes the theory only Barca and Real would survive in the Premier league.

Abeg England is not the new italy. The difference in quality of defenders the italian game had then and what england has now are worlds apart

let fergie just get ryan shawcross or elokobi.
thiago silva is a waste of money.
Waste of money? I don't think so. Unless you are Xavi or Messi, you're definitely going to have a bad day @ the office.

dayokanu:
Chickenshrimp did you see Thiago Silva making that assist to Rosicky?
Dude has a bad game by his standards and all the naysayers come running out. Show any central defender who hasn't had one and i'll happily take down that post.

Wow where do I start from? Disgraceful first half performance from the lads last night. They should be utterly ashamed of themselves. At one point I thought I was watching Oldham athletic. Pittiable performance. They just about managed to salvage a bit of pride when their performance in the second half. I think part of the blame should go to Allegri. He shoulda known than an air of overconfidence and complancency would creep in to team no matter what was said in public. He should have prepared the team much better to avoid against any such occurence.

Also the players should take a lion share of the blame too. Woeful first half from every single member of the team bar Abbiati. Atrocious!!!. I have said and will say it again they should all be ashamed of themselves. No enegry,no drive, no commitment. Hopefully they all would have learnt lessons from that game.

Having gotten that off my chest, glad we are through to the QF. Over the two legs, we were the better team and how we never scored an away goal last night, i'll never know. They should all sort their acts out cuz that dreadful performance should never be seen again from any player wearing the Milan shirt. Fingers crossed this is the kick up the backside we need for our assault to retain the scudetto and go as far as possible in the CL.

Forza Milan!!!

Pity he's never had the kind of transfer kitty Mou has always had.
Whether he did or not woulda made little difference. Dude is still a young manager with lots to learn. If the Inter rumours are true, I for one welcome his appointment.

Sir Alex Ferguson is in the market for a centre-back and wants to bring Milan's centre-back Thiago Silva to Old Trafford and is ready to offer the Serie A side £25m for their Brazilian international after reading very favourable reports from the surveillance team he's had monitoring Silva as he goes about his business at San Siro.
Easily in the top three when it comes to the best center backs in the world. Can't see him leaving Milan though unless Berlu suddenly suffers from a rush of blood to the head.

Just over 4 hours til kick off and i must say i'm not counting my chickens just yet. Milan fans don't need to be reminded of teams staging inconceivable comebacks against all the odds when it seemed we've all but qualified. However I am putting my trust in the boyz to see this game through.

Wow must admit wasn't expecting this scoreline. I predicted a 2-0, 2-1 scoreline before the start of the game so was expecting the game to be tightly and evenly contested not the absolute annihilation it ended upbeing.

Though it has got to be said that this was Arsenal being poor as much Milan being good. Kevin Prince,Robinho and Ibra(finally) were magnificent. Most especially the former and da latter. Our defence gave little away and Thiago silva(as per usual) and Mexes were fantastic. Our Midfield wasn't to shabby either. Van Bommel had a great game plus Nocerino had one of his best games in a milan shirt

We should be through but i'm not counting my chickens just yet cuz i remember saying da same 8 years ago vs Deportivo but we all know how that ended up. Hopefully they won't mess it up this time around.

A last word must go to Allegri. Got his tactic spot on last night and must admit he's turning out to be a far better coach than I envisaged.

Forza Milano!!!

Also those short players like Lahm, Modric, Rafael & Fabio, Dani Alvez, Messi and Rafinha are useless aerially so why not make themselves useful at the post instead of pretending to be marking someone and just loafing around
Absolutely agree.
