AjanleKoko:O boy I tire ooo. Dude's positional sense is appalling. He is nothing but a glorified Left winger. |
medjai:Arguably the world's best left back ma foot. A left back that can not execute his primary role properly. |
The Anderson I watched during the under 17 worldcup in 2005 was extremely skilful. Don't know where all that skill has gone though. |
A Great performance(I must admit) against an Inter team on the decline( watch the Schalke Match for further evidence)and he is suddenly a world beater. Alexis Sanchez has done the exact same thing for 2-3 seasons now but with moderate fanfare. |
Oh pls just shut it. . . . . Men Of God" my foot. "More like Men Of Fraud" |
If any daft club is willing to pay anywhere around the 50M figure being quoted for Bale, Spurs would be silly not to bite off that Maga's hands. Between Ashley Young and Gareth Bale, I know which of the two i'd rather have. |
If the rumour I am hearing about Giggs is indeed true then . . . . . . . . What a shame!!! |
Darling, "I am Broke" and rest as they say is history. |
dayokanu:Most definitely Cristian Zapata. Class Act!!! |
JP my heart goes out to you and your fam. Pls accept my condolences. Congrats y'all on your champions league win. Still 3 CL trophies behind milan though .Must admit as soon as i saw man united's team sheet(started with two lethargic midfielders in the centre of the pack), I quickly ran to the bookies and placed a significant amount on a Barca victory. Thanks y'all for enriching yours truly . |
@ RITCHBOY Don't kid yourself. I know for a fact that quite a few teams from the 90's would give this Barca a good game. If man united had better midfielders for instance, the game IMO would have been much tighter |
Where is RUDDIE? . . . . As i said times without number playing a midfield two against this Barca midfield is suicidal and I was proven correct. Jose is not Mad. He knew exactly what he was doing when played he played 4-5-1 in the first leg at the bernabeu and right up to Pepe's sending off his tactic was working very well(don't think they created clear cut chances). Back to Barca being the best club side ever, I don't know about that. I number of teams in 90's alone woulda given em' a run for their money. |
coogar:Who would he replace? Nani, Park, Valenci? . . . . Or is he destined to spend the whole of next season on the United sub bench?HNIC:Don't let Fat Ibime see this ooo ![]() |
I watched the 2009 finals again and I found that Messi did not consistently run @ Man United defenders(needs to do more of that tomorrow). Only Iniesta did although not consistently enough. And when he did he seemed to glide past Man United's players with relative ease(needs to do more of that tomorrow). Plus also Get Pedro to run at both Evra and Fabio. With his searing pace and skill level, he would reek havoc in the United defence(that's if he has a good day @ the office. He has been slightly inconsistent this season). |
Ashley Young is set to sign for Manchester United it seems. . . . . . |
OgidiBoy:Oh boy you know see as una names rhyme? Look am O-g-i-d-i-boy, N-w-a-f-o-r . You are definitely blood related ![]() Nah me suppose ask you wey you go hide? I dey sha. How your side? I hope say you dey take am easy with all those |
JeSoul:Abeg he is not overrated jare. Whilst I agree with you that even my 3 year old nephew woulda won at least three rings with players he has had at his disposal I have to admit that he did get the best out of those players. Abeg 11 rings no easy to win ooo. Would Popovich have won em'? I have no doubts that he would have. However Gregg like Phil is in top bracket of coaches. I challenge you find any other coach currently in the NBA that woulda done the same even with those great players. Oya complete that statement, Zen Master ko, . . . . . . ![]() |
@Chic2pimp Talent Alone is not enuff. Shaq was drafted in 92 linked with Bryant in 96 but they didn't win squat till Phil came in 99 and they where champs dat season M.J drafted in 84 they got beat senseless by the Bad Boy Pistons till Phil came in 1990 and in 91 the 3peat began Phil Jackson is the best ever coach
Yes Talent is not enough I am not disputing that. But if you think Phil will be as revered as he currently is without all those talented players he had at his disposal then you are deceiving yourself, . . . . . In chicago he worked with two of the top three players of the Nineties. . . . . . Also in Lala Land he worked with two of the top three payers of the early noughties. Did you really expect him to fail?. . . . . . Also isn't it funny that he won nowt during M.J's brief retirement from the NBA? Calling him the greatest of all time is subjective however he is certainly one of the greatest of all time. |
^^^You and I know he is from your hometown. |
JeSoul:Fallacy!!!. . . Over what? Although I must admit that with the quality of players he has had at his disposal, anything less than 5 rings would have been seen as a failure. Still does not make him overrated. |
coogar:Exactly my point. No team on planet earth can out do Barca when it comes to possesion football and ball retention so why not just plug the midfield with stoppers( a la Pepe) and hit em' on the fast counter? RuuDie:Really? . . . . Or are you refering to a different Giggs? Playing two Midfielders vs Barca would only work if those two being mentioned went by the names Vieira and Keane. |
coogar:Hence the reason why I don't think Fergie would play Giggs and Carrick alone at the centre of the park. It's one thing playing em' against chelsea's mechanical midfielders and quite another playing those same two against Two midfield genuises(Xavi and Iniesta). Park would most likely be given two essential tasks. Track messi wherever he goes(sort of like pepe) and also join the attack when required. Given his what seems like endless energy, he would do that effortlessly. On the Alves issue,I firmly believe that would be rooney's assignment(Aid Evra by doubling up on Alves whenever Barca are in possesion of the ball). |
Playing two Midfielders @ the centre of the pack vs Barca would be suicidal. Like a hot knife through butter, Barca would slice through the united Midfield and defence easily. However I strongly suspect he would deploy a 4-3-3 formation(which can be altered to a 4-4-2 if need be). Park would most likey join forces with Ando and Carrick @ the centre of the midfield with Rooney and Valencia Flanking Hernandez. |
dayokanu:Look @ this doofus. . . . When last did the shitty Nazis win any trophy of note? |
Sheyun:Would you lot ever desist from telling porkies?. Man, Wife and kids comfortably surviving on a salary of 25000 ke?. . . . @ POSTER To be honest i'm not really worried about the wife after all as someone earlier said she is neither physically or mentally disabled so she be working. It's the kids i'm more worried about. Abeg wait till you are comfortable and more before even considering bringing those innocent souls into this world. |

Goodbye Metronome. You were easily one of the best players of your Generation.
|
Thanks Y'all!!!. . . . . . . Seven Years without a scudetto was quite a big deal for a team like Milan but that long suffering period is now over we can now look forward to next season. And with the addition of 3 or 4 real quality signings, we will definitely be a real force in the champions league last season.
