I’ve watched all of them, only France might give them tough time because they’re clinical and tactical when they meet big teams.

That's the reason I have France at the Top. That team is very compact plus they are good at grinding out results. They'd rather sit back and hit on the counter than give you the space to run behind. Those are the kind of teams England struggle against the most.

But considering that things are about to get tougher, I don't think that double pivot is going away. Maybe he will switch things up by putting Henderson in the mix like he did today.

As for the attack, Grealish and Sancho have to play more. I would've preferred a 4-3-3 with Phillips at DM. Southgate seems to like Sterling so perhaps he will keep his LW role, then let Grealish and Mount/Foden start as the two no.8s. If he plays a 4-2-3-1 and still insists on Sterling playing LW, then let Grealish start at CAM.

BTW, how u see Sterling? He's come up with the big goals, but I feel his overall play hasn't been it.

Yup that double pivot is not going away anytime soon. If something was to happen to one of Henderson,Kalvin or Rice you best bet He'd draft in a centre back to occupy that spot rather than deviate from His existing norm. Your 433 with Grealish and Mount playing in midfield was one of my suggestion but I doubt Southgate takes that risk seeing that He is very risk averse. Both players are incredibly hardworking hence why I see it working. They'd happily work their butt off all day.

Truth be told, bar the goals, Sterling has been average. I have lost count now the amount of time He has given the ball away but if the goals keep coming then I'm not complaining. Those goals are very much needed considering Kane's present form.

Exactly....It doesn't have to be Mount, the dude that replaced Him Henderson would be perfect. He gives the defensive solidity Rice and Kalvin provides whist offering more on the attacking side. The goal at the end of the day is to win not to entertain or please everyone.

Actually Henderson legs beside Rice is good. Henderson is also much more of a high volume passer than Phillips. Infact Henderson has been topping volume passes in EPL for a couple of years now. Phillips is a DM, not a second midfielder.

This looks good to me. I am simply against having two destroyers on the pitch when you are not trying to protect a lead. One of them has to be a really good passer of the ball for it to remotely work.

Mount/Grealish should be the best, I don’t see Mount displacing any Winger in that squad, he’s naturally not a winger, Na just his versatility dey make am play wing for Chelsea.

Do you really think we need two midfielders that pretty much do the same job in the same midfield? I don't know man. I just think we need something different. Do you Notice how slow the build up of play is with both of them in midfield? If we were shutting up shup in the last 10-20 minutes of a game after going 1-0 up then hell yeah.

Quite a number of the members of the media actually have them right below the favourites. Infact the last time the English National Team got an obscene amount of hype going into a major tournament was in 2006. Nothing since then has come anywhere close.

I also feel Kalvin Philips is out of place as a CM. He doesn't quite know how to work that position.

Absolutely. The Kalvin+Rice midfield is too sluggish for my liking plus they pretty much do the same job. A Xavi/Pirlo like player next to either of them would have been perfect.

Points well made. The Double pivot gives England a solid base to launch their attacks even if I still think Mount can replace one of them without us missing a beat. Grealish though has got to start even if that means Mount fighting with Sterling and Foden for that lone spot upfront. A fast Dynamic tricky winger is needed to make the front three thingy work.

Who in the English Media said so? If anything everyone was expecting a real battle vs the Scots. No matter How good or Bad the Scots are, they always give England a run for their money whenever they cross path. The same can be said for all of the Home Nations.

Best defense in the tournament.

Two things has to happen if England are to do well. First Grealish has to retain His place in that midfield trio. If that means dropping one of Rice or Kalvin to accommodate Mount then so be it. Secondly upfront it was to be one of Sterling or Foden not the both of them as playing the two of them together offers us no width. One of Sancho/Saka has to ALWAYS start.
