@ Nef your epistle na bible o. I meant no harm. The comment below is the reason i made the comment I made. I also think we should trash out the review issue. @ Justwise please confirm if reviews should be based on third party or personal experience when eventually this whole bruhaha is sorted out.

justwise:

That is not always the issue hence my concern, some use 3rd party experience to review a Dr. If it's based on personal experiences then there is no prob.

This is same thing Justwise is talking about. Reviews should be based on first hand experience and not from friends or church members. I am suprised that you dont have a first hand experience with Dr. A. was of the impression you used him based on your stance shocked

nefertitiram:

Am not interested in him whatsoever. I did my homework well and was not happy with hearing first hand reports of how some women were made to pay outrageous bills upon transferred from his care due to complications to other hospitals. And abandons them to their fate.
This my precious baby? I should gamble with her because I want to test a doc with such reviews?

The same doctor that ejisky claimed took her delivery at home, in America? What happened to 911 na!

Or a doc that is a qualified general practitioner and not an obgyn? I should gamble with my life? Biko, Mbah, am not interested in trying him out. You can try him if you want. Like I said, I did my homework.

That bathroom slippers I waka with file finish!

Nope not yet. Should be there in about a week.

nefertitiram:

By the way, how are you doing? Are you in chicago yet?

Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Chicagomum: 2:31pm On Oct 25, 2015
So what will be the essence of this thread if we are unable to share costs, hospital and doctor reviews?

nefertitiram:
Nne wait o, before you rest your case, I can bet it was because of NL that MIHS jacked up their prices.
It was because of NL that Dr. Zimmerman stopped taking 9ja patients

It was because of NL that Mobap flew frm $900 doc fees to no intl patients.

I'm with Justwise on this o! Because MIHS pained me bad, and Mobap sef bite me for corner.

The worst thing is that this thread is so open that the people ruining this thing are not actively participating. They come, collect info and run with it. Meanwhile some of us battle day and night, on the phone 24/7 to get info so that our friends here can benefit, only for lurkers to bombard the hospital with a million calls so tey they did meeting and stopped taking intl patients.
A mama here testified on how she was grilled about how she found out about Dr. F

If this trend continues, who knows, there will be no more affordable options. It is simple economics, law of demand and supply.

With these new set of rules; it will be difficult to discover new and better deals. Seems we are heading to the era where only Visa and POE stories can be posted... @ Justwise will be good if you change the heading of the thread 3 since costs and hospital/Doctor reviews can no longer be posted... and update the rules to reflect changes in what can be posted.
OR
@Justwise Is it possible to state areas where cost, hospital / Doctor reviews shouldnt be posted based on adverts you get instead of a blanket rule?

LadyGuinivere:
Erm! After reading both sides, all I can sayis nawa o!
E go hard now to get new hospitals. As aa friend say she see 5,300 in chicago I no even bother to ask her d name for posting purposes.
The people Wen de pay for ad, why dem de fear na?! If them cheap we go come! cheesy

From the little research i have done, Extension approval can take between 10 - 14 weeks to get a response from USCIS. If she is denied an extension that means she would have to leave the US at maybe 34 or 36 weeks and would be too far gone to make the return journey. If one is denied an extension and the person doesnt leave immediately the visa automatically becomes invalid. The best thing to do is to go back and come back better prepared. If she was about 32 weeks or more then it would have made more sense to take the risk. There is also a possibility that she would be granted an extension. Teju weigh your options and take calculated risk...

Ji which POE did u use, get a lawyer and file for an extension

Your other option is to file for an extension. Check for how to file for an extension online.

Modified..
Your story doesnt add up tho. Its obvious you went for birthing. Filing for extension does not mean u would get it and if it is not approved you would be required to leave US immediately...Like others have adviced; since you are just 22 weeks go back to Nigeria and come back at btw 32 - 34 weeks. Before leaving, get a hospital and doctor and make part payment if possible.

tejudollar:
Good day all. I need an advice, travelled to united states and was stamped the normal 6 months stay at the immigration point. Later directed for secondary inspection where my bags were searched and my fitness of stay was found which showed i was 22 weeks pregnant and since i planned returning back in two weeks time.
I told the officer i was, fortunately i wasnt turned back but he reduced mi stay to one month. During my stay, i had an issue that made me to see a doc who told me to stay off stress and rest well. My host and hubby are suggesting i stay back to deliver. but dnt know how to go about, where to go to show that i can pay the bills and the doctor report and all. Because also the cons of overstaying the limited stay to give birth here. Wuld appreciate you can all advice me on what to do.

My Mum called her account officer today and the guy said 199.5 and it can be gotten same day as long as she has all her documents. This info is for Abuja though so you may need to check with your branch.

Hello Mama's,

Please does anyone have any idea of a good birthing center in Chicago? Didn't find anything in the 2 parts...My budget is very tight so I am considering using a birthing center instead of a hospital.

@hastee sent you a mail please reply now. I have been expecting your response....

Thank you.
