Thank you everyone |
[quote author=TONYE001 post=95904528]Hello. I suggest you hold on to what you have until you have an alternative. If you eventually get admitted into Medicine, you can leave your current program. Until then, please remain serious with your studies. If you eventually get MBBS, by all means, cross over. Finishing Public Health before Medicine has no significant advantage. You can always pursue postgraduate studies in Public Health after your MBBS (if interested). I'd emphasize again. Do not leave Public Health until you've got Medicine. Good luck. Thank you |

I'm a 17 year old female in one of the Nigerian university in one of the state universities in the south east A public health 200 level student of public health, I'm supposed to be in 300 level now if not for the strike to be graduating 2022 when I'm 19 years old My problem now is that I do not want to continue with my course I have always wanted to be a medical doctor or a pharmacist so I retook this 2020 jamb I know you would be wondering why I didn't take jamb in 2019 ,I wanted to see if I would grow interest or a likening to my course since it is related to health but I haven't I'm most likely going to get admission to a university in the south south the odds are in my favour But now almost everyone is telling me to finish up with my course first and start from 200 level medsurg as direct entry come 2023 so that I will bag both degrees but I just don't see the need I do not have passion for my course and I feel like I'm just wasting my time even though my grades are good though my mom has encouraged me to go for what I want even if it means forfeiting my present course I need your suggestions Thank you |
