Immediately I noticed it was pointed nose lady, I took excuse and sent to toilet. When I came back, it was same pointed nose because she was too fast denying people. I took a second excuse and the CGI approached me, and I lied to him that she denied me 2months ago. He insisted I meet her, I summoned courage because I felt I prepared well enough too.

Cuts VO: I won’t be approving your visa at this point under section 214b… Me: I felt like it’s not Gods plan for me yet. You sounded desperate and the Visa Officer made the right decision. Until you folks learn to answer simple question straightforward rather than telling us some bull stories that you were never asked. Your desperation was oozing. |

They should not go back home. Please, stay on the streets. If they go back home, the suffering will double.
The economy is currently bad bad. The government has done nothing. All they have done is threaten and kill Nigerians. |

anamo: If you are changing school (which is true in my case), you’ll need a new F-1 visa especially with the SEVIS 5 month rule
The professor who input the funding I got a visa with in school A lost his NSF application and he only told me in June after I already got my visa in April. I should have risked it and travelled but I’m scared I’ll just be left stranded after I’ve reached out to other professors who claimed they didn’t have funding. Since I got a new offers for Spring 2025, I just reached out to the grad coordinator that TA offer will be better, rather than RA, which is fine.
Right now it seems going to the embassy again will just be a waste of time.
Thank you You do not need a new visa. What you need is SEVIS transfer |

Leaving the protests worsen your situation because the economy has gotten really bad with the protest already.
Don’t go back home if they don’t cut government spending and fire those aids they are wasting our funds on.
If you go home, you’re going home to x100 suffering. Do not go home. The protest has affected the economy and things will get really bad. |

anamo: Good evening yall . I was supposed to be travelling this Fall after obtaining my F-1 visa since April. Unfortunately, the fund I was supposed to be working with was withdrawn from my PI. I could no longer proceed as I don’t want to go and constitute nuisance in the US (I don’t have money to sponsor myself). Note that this is my second time of not being able to use an F-1 visa as I couldn’t use the first one issued in January cuz I was sick and hospitalized completely.
I just want an honest opinion as I’m about to give up completely on US Schools...how do you all feel about this? I wish to apply for another admission and proceed to get a new visa..do you think the VO will think I’m not serious? What do you feel about this? If you were the VO, will you take this kind of person seriously? Which school are you heading to? Can you share your profile? Share a little about profile |

Is it possible to gain admission to a Cyber Security master's program given that my bachelor's degree is in Chemical Engineering? You do not need to complete your NYSC or even go for one to apply for US admission. You should be fine applying for Cyber Security program. |

I hope that Nigerians maintain this momentum and never return back home until the crooked and wicked leaders we are see that rate of the anger that brews inside of us.
There is a need to send a clear message that times have changed and Nigerians are not docile cowards that would watch with impunity the damage done to our country by kleptocrat leaders.
Nigerians, if we need to wake up everyday to hit the street for 1 year, so be it. We have to send those people leaving. |

Jay1ne: Hello everyone, good evening. Thanks for the tips and ideas that have been shared here so far. I would appreciate if I could also get counsel on what to do next in my case.
I studied Political Science for my undergraduate degree, however in Uni, I acquired professional certifications(CCNA, HCIA. I am already studying for CCNP and AWS) that allowed me to work as a Network Engineer. I have less than a year experience in this career.
For my Msc, which I hope to go for as soon as feasible, I would not like to continue with political science. Instead, I would like to Master in something related to Information Technology. The dilemma that confronts me now is how I can switch from a non-STEM Bsc, to a STEM Msc. I have checked online and I have not really seen a straightforward answer that addresses this.
I have checked with some schools in the UK that offer conversion courses for people without any background in the Msc course that they want to apply for. In fact, I know someone that studied Agricultural Engineering for his Bsc and completed his Msc in Software Engineering. However, I have not really seen something similar for US universities.
I would just like to know if there are people in similar shoes as mine and how they navigated their way to getting their preferred Msc course.
Thank you very much. Apply for MS Information System or Apply for MBA with concentration in Information Tech and pivot. |

This government has taken Nigerians for a foool truly. They absolutely hate Nigerians and would use any machinery to subjugate the people.
So due to the protest, they had to come up with this insane behavior to deliberately block Nigerians phone lines so they can come queue to rectify their NIN.
Some of them actually have verified their NIN.
Why can’t they verify their NIN via online platform or through their mobile phones why do they need to come to their office?
I urge all Nigerians to make sure they all come out to protest, these are the early behaviors of dictatorship. The earlier you take this behavior, the better for Nigeria. |
