No blown fuses or damaged wire. The technician suggests a replacement of the TCM.

Same thing with mine. Replacing it alone didn’t fix it until after the reprogram.

Alright, but what they are telling me that they are going to replace is the TCM, Transmission Cobtrol Module, that is somehow attached to the gearbox. Is that what you changed or the ECM that is beside the fuse box. Please, I would need you to explain further to know what to do. Or if you can let me know how best to communicate you.

The people that scanned the car are telling me to change the transmission control module that the RX350 2010 supposed Module number is A1 whereas mine number is V5 and that's the cause.
Attached file is the fuse box back.

Check the fuses controlling your brainbox,if its still good or has burnt.check them first.open the fuse box.its usually labelled inside of it.check them one after the other

No fuse is burnt but I notice that 2 fuse are missing, is that suppose to be so?

No, they brought a new ECM and fixed it. Saying the new ECM is free code. It was test driven and the problem continued. I asked them to replace it and put back my own ECM

Already paid for testing of a new ECM and the problem continued. I am advised to change the transmission control module (TCM) which I am afraid of, does this issue really have anything related to it? U0100 and C1201 code, I am afraid of anything happening to my gearbox. Please what do you suggest?

I don’t think you’re supposed to replace the module if there’s nothing wrong with it. Actually those components will be inspected, the necessary scans carried out to determine the appropriate solution. In my own case immediately the Tcm was reprogrammed the jerking stopped but it kept coming back. The guy was able to determine that the fault want from the tcm but the ecu. We took the vehicle to ladipo to replace the ecu. After replacement the tcm was reprogrammed and since around February till now no issues at all.

If you can get a good technician with around there with the right tool they should be able to fix it

So guys, when I said first mechanic. I meant the first mechanic I met in this town.
We are looking at the whole combustion system again. Starting eith easy things like spark plug, and several other things.
The biggest gain has come from
Servicing the injectors, replace spark plugs and chain of accelerator pedal cos the pedal too was ceasing.

However, not yet Uhuru. However, jerking has reduced. I will come back and report progress.

Meanwhile, check engine light is off for about 2 weeks now and not coming on again. I lost my old codes, so no codes to check.

No error code is showing, though the second mechanic said we should use a bigger machine to scan. Please what could be the problem with the transmission?

Have it checked by another mechanic before embarking on that trip. Also, test that car very well within Lagos before going on a journey.

I have checked it with another mechanic and he said is the fuel pump, he changed the fuel pump and the problem still persists. It jerks at 2 RPM and picks up almost immediately, please what do you suggest could be the problem based on your experience. The check engine is not on, the car requires a Premuim fuel since is 2010. Please what could be the problem?

Evap system malfunction due to over filling of fuel tank till it spills out. It's damaged the evap system. Scan the car, post the codes lets take it up from there.

Please can you help advise me. My car jerks when on acceleration as of fuel have finished and picks up afterwards. I called a rewire and he said that it's likely the car battery was removed when the car was on that it would reset automatically. I just cleared the car from the port and noticed it requires premuim fuel, its an RX350 2010. What advice would you give me? Resize all your documents to be 2mb or less. You can use this website https://www.simpleimageresizer.com/resize-image-to-2-mb (note I’m not affiliated to the website, that’s what I used)

Convert any of your vehicle documents that’s in pdf to image and make sure they are below 2mb too.

Then fill in all the necessary infos and you’ll be good to go.

It will now take you to a page that you’ll need to make a payment. I paid 14,200 naira. After that, it will take you to a video verification page where it will capture your face to match it up with the passport you uploaded initially.

Now, this face is a little bit tricky. Make sure you’re in an environment with enough lighting if not, use your phone light, point it directly to your face and open your eyes widely while following the onscreen instruction so the system can match it up easily.

After that you’re good to go and await the final stage. I’m currently at that stage now. Awaiting the completion of my application.
