Let's ignore the fact that u don't have any point up here.

With the alarming numbers of people in Lagos state, how much do u think social packages will incure in Lagos state?

Allowing street beggers is so bad that some of this people u think are beggers are informant. If you don't know you don't know.

Check garages u will see large numbers of northerners who have complete body yet begging for alms.

Ogbeni. If yuoi must be in Lagos, you must be part of her progress not coming all the way from yr Village to add to the problem
Why are you avoiding looking into the root cause ?? if numbers of beggars are on the rise is that not a call to the government that they are failing
What have the govt done that is concrete to alleviate Nigerians out of poverty ? ordinary palliative that were given to share did it get to the people

Begging as not only increase on out street, it as increase online, among friends, in church and even within family sef .. everyday you wake up to one aunty or brother message for help .. should we respond with arrest

IF the country is good, begging will go unnoticed

Better.

They shouldn't also forget the sellers who normally block the road by displaying their items close to the main road.

It's time for decongestion in Lagos state
What is better, with the economy Tinubu/Apc as brought upon Nigerians is it even possible to alienate begging .. thats survival, people will do anything just to survive either by begging or with force, you and i should be more worried about the latter cos if begging becomes a crime then stealing & robbery becomes more of an option cos there are no jobs & govt aint even helping matters

Now in lagos, when you are stuck in traffick at night you see fierce looking boiz begging you and threatening to break you windscreen at the same time .. if you don't give dem money undecided

politicians have security, who will protect us when crime rate rises .. is it the outnumbered and overstretched security undecided

Sey because we never protest break there coconut head .. ajala tan nuh
Is it not the country mess and abject poverty that subject most into street begging ... is it the greed & corrupt practices of our leaders that submerge Nigerians into hardship

Before criminalizing street begging what have government done to alleviate people out of poverty .. common palliative these politicians still sit on it and divert it ... whose fault really huh

Even the Western world we all adore there are destitute and beggers on the street, how is criminalizing a solution huh i believe our law makers are educated

You can't take pillow and comfort away from a Man nd expect him not to snore ... Nigerians are not lazy, give people an enabling environment nd begging will dwindle

It's people like you that Reno can decieve. When Obi was Governor, he was notorious for being stingy. Anambra does not have up to 150 Igwe's. If Obi bought 400 SUV's for Igwe's, it means that each Igwe got at least 2 SUV's, many got 3.

Now how do you think that a notoriously stingy Governor gave Kings in his state as much as 3 SUV's?

Don't you think that if this had actually happened, it would be big news back then? The main opposition party, PDP, would have went to town to tell Anambrarians how APGA Governor Obi is wasting their money.

Obi bought 400 SUV's for Igwe's, that would have cost billions even back then, but none of us Anambrarians heard of this fantastic news. Something that would have been national news back then, only Reno Omokiri heard of it

Let's start using our brains in this country

Sophia is a typical example of why yoruba men flock to marry igbo women. Which igbo woman will leave comfortably in 23m house rent yearly? Only a stupid one. She would have calculated that 5 years of that rental payment would have bought her own house in Lagos. When davido decide to pay 5m she will collect the money and look for a 3m naira house rent (dem plenty for osapa & chevron). Why living in banana island when you are not working or your income cannot measure up. This is why Davido ran away from her.
Is that what david told you, that why he ran or never loved her, so the chioma david married now naa 5m he dey spend on her yearly abi the Porsche he bought her as assurance naa 5m dem dey sell am smiley people can be funny sha

If she pays a 23m rent and she can afford it without begging or opening a go fund account .. i won't call it stupid her life her choice !

How is paying house rent where his blood stays tantamount to throwing money into the gutter .. is it not the same davido that flies his friends on private jet to ball, do you know how much that boy waste on drinks and flexing that one no be gutter rite

Isnt it obvious the sophia lady is not begging david to come and sponse her lifestyle, her stand is she can't downside or downgrade becos david wants to be part of their child life .. its either david take it or leave it, assuming she was staying at amukoko like poco and she is now eyeing banana island on david expense trust me naa me go 1st hammer "oleeee scream" from mosque speaker

What do you mean by the crazy revenue drive solely via taxation? Has there been an increase in tax or VAT that we are unaware of? Because we are very much aware of how the government has tried to reduce tax and customs duties instead, aside from the news last week of executive order to suspend import duties and value-added tax on essential medical supplies imported into the country. You said that the FG wields more power, but immediately disprove it by pointing to the helplessness of two different administrations.
Dangote refinery is working with the 100% backing and help of the FG, both past and present, and the LASG. It is not just the effort of Dangote. The money and promises consistently pumped into the government refineries is an indication that they want it to work, but there's something more to it.
The so called template you mention, is not part of it that Tinubu did by floating currency and subsidy removal. Is that not what they teach every world economist? Is that not what economists have been shouting for over a decade until it was implemented, and they went mute?
Tinubu is not taking loan from IMF, good that we now agree on that. Most of the loan has been from the CBN. There is no way the government will not borrow, or do you have another option? If you don't have money, and you must pay bills, will you not borrow? Loan is not loan, you must look at the conditions of the loan, and also the purpose of, and need for the loan.
The oil and gas sector is not a block making industry where you just produce within hours. It takes time to see positive change in such a large and refined sector. It is a definition of the adage to destroy is very easy. Who is giving Nigeria quota, it is Nigeria itself that 'lobbies' for more quota because you get more money if you supply more. So it is to Nigeria's good, not anyone else good, if quota is met. Aside from having to supply Dangote refinery with some of their crude oil, the issues of vandalism and maintenance remain. Those are real challenges that cannot be wished away. Nigeria's last Offshore project was in 2009, so how do you significantly increase production. With the multi-billion-dollar deals the government is now signing in the sector, that is a new world of possibility apart from an economic revamp. This is beyond NNPC's well documented incompetence. Other leaders have tried solving NNPC, Tinubu is not resting on that, that is significant.
Yar'Adua is a topic for another time. The advantages of his style are yet to be seen. All the revocations he made is what we are still suffering from and have paid heavily for today.
Lastly, half of the companies that exited Nigeria did so for selfish reasons, not because they loved Nigeria. They are the ones that benefited most from Nigeria's rotten system. Now, that it looks like they must really work for their profit and rightly pay, they are leaving. That is aside from the half that already had plans to leave for other reasons. Give it at least one year from now. You should start seeing the difference.
I acknowledge there are proposed reduction in tax, but that is nothing compared to the multiplier effect of Custom duties increment, under 1yr of BAT administration custom duty as being hiked 6 times

Nigeria is not a producing nation meaning people and manufacturers depend heavily on importation, the multiplier effect of high custom duties overrides tax reduction gains .. do the maths
never in the history of Nigeria a naija used car is selling higher than the price it was bought years ago, the nation is not ready for production the only reason why govt continue to shoot up custom duties is crazy revenue drive subjecting people to hardship

Dangote refinery came alive because of his commitment and devotion to that course, except you have a proof FG bankrolled him ..however if FG is as supportive as you portray why is Dangote importing crude huh
continuous pumping of money/resources into a refinery over decade and still won't work is a clear indication of corruption, can you pump money to revive a car for a year and you won't take drastic action huh now what drastic action has FG taken all these years? why are heads never rolling huh
There is so much rot and decay in NNPC and govt is covering it up if not why is Heineken not replaced yet, isnt it obvious that man is out of ideas ??
8yrs ago, i was as optimistic as you arguing it takes time for effective .. after buhari 8yrs nothing to show and you expect me to still continue on that trend .. weekend wey go sweet naa from friday you can tell

You can't smear Yaradua's deeds, thats the best president that never lasted, the only thing Nigerians are suffering from is Corrupt leaders that never get tired of stealing & looting
IF business operation were conducive & profitable what other selfish reasons can over ride Profit making, besides foreign investor don't owe it to love Nigeria, they are here on business grounds, its our leaders who don't love us cos they sell us cheaply to foreigners that is why they treat their employees badly & get away with it.
Anyone that understand business will know the Tinubu led administration scores Zero in creating an enabling environment for business .. go nd listen to dangote last speech .. BAT disappointed us jare

Sorry, i understand the hardship. It was expected though, tough call. The thing is that we live in a democracy, the downside is that there is a lot of bureaucracy in democracy. You don't issue decrees and orders, you carry majority along. We don't have a good foundation so it makes matters worse. If you check countries especially in Asia that have grown very rapidly in the past 3 to 4 decades, they are NOT democracies. Nobody can question the leadership in the democratic sense or put hurdles. So where they have visionary leaders, they are literally flying.
Who born you to do anyhow, steal or put the price you feel like, rent seek or even criticize the president's decision in those places? It's unlike here, where the FG wants to do things, there's attack from everywhere. A politician will be a politician, he will have to tread carefully in such a case. He'll have to make people see reason. They'll have to be placated, and babysitted for cooperation. Look at the distractions of insecurity, suicide bombers, bandits, kidnappers, boko haram and unknown gunmen. Not to mention thieves sabotaging infrastructure. This is aside outcries about what the president does, eats, wears, who he employs, where is she from, who is handling contract, whose company, etc. A democratic government must be answerable to all these and more and still play their cards carefully and slowly. They are on slippery ground.
All these rant is to say that you cannot expect real/tangible changes in one year. You have to patiently wait. For instance, most of what the president had in plan since August to October last year are just starting last month and this month. They are just rolling them out. So he has to make solid policies and framework that will last. Unfortunately, Betty Edu or whatever her name, should have spearheaded the help of the poor was politically checkmated. Her work is in the hand of governors who are doing next to nothing about it.
What you called lavish spending is not lavish but part of the budget agreed on by both the legislative arms and the ministries. It is not a one man decision. N60 billion was budgeted for the students’ loan programme, not 10 billion, and it's a start. It needs funding.
Nigeria has not borrowed any loan from IMF since Tinubu that i am aware of, you can update me. We are not among IMF's top 10 debtors. We have Ghana, Angola, Kenya, Cote d Ivoire in that set, not Nigeria.
Currently, there is massive financial reengineering ongoing in oil and gas. These things don't take weeks or months to show, they take years. Nigeria is getting
---HQ of Sahel Climate Fund
—HQ of African Central Bank
—HQ of Africa Energy Bank
—HQ of the new Gulf of Guinea (GoG) Combined Maritime Task Force

This is a lot of investment achieved in one year. i agree that we need a consumer board where prices of things are regulated. 60% of the suffering of many has been greedy rent-seeker citizen caused, not FG caused. But when the plans begin to fall in place, it will be like a tsunami bigger than the enemies of the country. Give it some more time. There are people who are benefitting from the rot of Nigeria, they are fighting tooth and nail against progress.
That Nigerians understand "hardship" won't go away over night is not a justification for the Tinubu-led administration to deliberately increase Hardship on Nigerians ... the crazy revenue drive solely via taxation and the incessant increase in MPR is a enough testament.
I understand its democracy and there are so much lacuna in the constitution coupled with inside enemies/saboteurs But trust me the Nigerian FG welds more power above all these challenges, the readiness, commitment and willingness is not just their on FG part thats the reality
For instance, there was an intel that gathered names of people sponsporing terrorism under buhari .. till date they are yet to publish it, if buhari was protecting his brothers whats stopping Tinubu
For many years FG/politicians have acted in ways that make Nigeria feel having a working refinery is Mission impossible, But just one man under 8yrs built the largest single train refinery gaint of Africa cannot even resuscitate one

Bro we live in a global world, if our leaders are ready and committed to driving the nation forward .. there are tested templates we can easily emulate, just like in maths when you have an example its easy to solve main questions ... i believe our leaders know what to do but they deliberately act clueless cos they are part of the problem Nigeria is facing, there source of wealth is rooted in corruption.
Tinubu is not taking loan from IMF but recorded has it under 1yrs BAT as borrowed $4.95billion whats the difference, loan na loan,
You want us to believe there is overhauling in the oil and gas sector whereas a simple task as meeting our quota we can't, even dangote is being sidelined ... recently heineken was on Tv to give excuses for NNPC incompetence and he declared war ... who is fooling who no be dem dem.

A serious Govt that want to cut cost or lead by example have all the power to reject luxury and expensive lifestyle ... there is no budget in Nigeria history that bypasses the president stand, Moreover We saw late pres. Yaradua cut Cost and minimize lavish spending ... determination and willingness bro.

Nigeria is getting is different from Nigeria has gotten ... now when you compare the incoming investment to the list of companies/investment that as existed Nigeria cos of BAT morbid policies .. is there really a cause for celebration.

Bro, i understand Govt needs time But whatever we have seen roll out from these BAT administration is clearly not a re-direction cos they are not doing anything differently ... the man just continued from where Buhari stopped, BAT is a disgrace to west so far

Have you heard about what is going on in the health sector, have you heard about student loans being rolled out? Have you heard about consumer credit?
