Fashola has not said why he has continued to close down the market.May be there is more to this than we know,of course one cannot rule out ethnic sentiments from this.

I think most of us here are being unnecessarily envious and sentimental here.Tax paying in every country I have visited is highly stressed and enforced.But before u talk about tax collection in Nigeria(Lagos),there must be proven responsibility on th part of the govt.,there must be a proper framework for it,there must also be a proper check for the thieves parading themselves as our leaders who don't of course pay tax on there ill gotten monies. All these are still lacking in Nigeria.Does Fashola know the number of shops in the villa?Does he know the number of persons in the villa?What is the framework for determining their incomes or does he want 2 charge them on a flat basis just like they hv always done? And to think that Fashola closed a whole market like computer village without warning and ultimatum threats, is most disheartening and disappointing.And to think that most people here support this approach of the Gov. on the basis of sentiments is MORE DISAPPOINTING.
