How many people are ready, on graduating, to work in a village school??

This isn't the good old days when we had missionaries establishing schools in the villages, and sending guys there. Now, it is mostly government schools, and teachers who get themselves posted to towns from the villages.

Same for medicine. I am a doctor. Worked in village in SE for one year. If not for the NYSC docs, the only doctors in the local government area where I was would have been in the LG Headquarters and there was only one....

Unless you want to force people to work in the villages, NYSC is here to stay. If you don't want rural people to get enough teachers, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc...scrap NYSC.

We dont need NYSC, we have enough manpower to go round.

we dont beg for graduates, we have abundant graduates.

I served in the South East, and am from the South South. Most of the coprers in my set were Southerners or Middle Belters.

The South does not need NYSC.

WHen they scrap it, people willl get jobs as their will be vacancies
