Career › Re: Salary Scale Of Lecturers In Nigerian Universities by chiefinalowo: 3:13pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
Acidosis: Following your analysis, you mean a Prof earn N6m/yr? i.e. N500,000/month.
Well this salary structure may be true for Lecturers in Private Unis and some states universities.
I believe in facts, and I can authoritatively assert that Professors in Delta State University, Abraka earn btw N800,000 - N1,000,000 monthly. I'm speaking based on facts.
Mind you, most of these lecturers earn other figures from (I.T supervision, project supervision, visitations, postgraduate/part-time/sandwich, etc). One of my lecturers back then was paid N60,000 for supervising 3 I.T students in the same metropolis. Do you even know the cost of supervising a PhD student?
Rumour also posits that Delta State University Lecturers are the highest paid in Nigeria. So next time you're posting figures, endeavour to indicate your source. In addition, all Profs in the school are entitled to at least one official car, a driver, a well furnished house with BQ & other perquisites.
All Lecturers do not earn same figures. Some Profs do not earn close to N500k/month, while some earn above N800k. I find it very hard to believe. My elder brother's salary as at 2013 was 450k per month in a Federal University. |

What is ondo?...Sounds like a State Recently plagued by a strange disease recently :- That is why you failed WAEC 5 times. Read my post again and again. I never said SE don't have some litres of oil. I said the oil in Ondo State alone not mentioning Ogun and Lagos states are more than some litres of oil in the entire SE. |

zendy: As Igbo man, I would rather be slave with my Ijaw neigbour and brother that I have a lot in common with than to be a slave to the Hausas and Yorubas I have no connection with. I will take it that you are speaking for all ibos in Nairaland that you people have accepted that you are now slaves in Nigeria. ibos should not forget that the time of Williams Wilberforce is long gone. No one will rescue ibos from the Ijaws, may be Sen. Ngige and Gov. Okorocha will do something. Tell me one thing you have in common with Ijaw? |
Politics › Re: Could This Be True About Ojukwu In Abidjan by chiefinalowo(op): 11:00am On Apr 29, 2015 |
zendy: The same way you think that Ojukwu was a warmonger and coward who led millions his people to their deaths is the same way that most Igbos think Awolowo was an embodiment of Yoruba cowardice and a war criminal who in his desperate bid to lead the Yoruba nation into slavery at the hands of the northern oligarchy took a plum job and used his office to starve and kill millions of people who wanted nothing other than their freedom. Both men are highly respected by their people and vilified by the opposing side. ibos are the new slaves the Ijaw people recently acquired. Ijaws now lord over ibos just because an Ijaw man gave them small positions at the national level. Go to Abuja and see how your leaders are prostrating for the Ijaws. It is a regional shame to ibos. |

zendy: How is Ojukwu a coward? For leaving 2 days before the war ended? I don't know why you are using Ghandi and Luther king as examples when they never led armed struggle like Ojukwu did. Ojukwu left Biafra 2 days before the war ended on the advice of his commanders that all hope was lost. If you call him a coward for not staying back to be killed over a war that already lost then you are indeed stupid. Ojukwu is a coward, let us leave it at that. Till date no one has been able to rival him in that position. |

superstar1: A lot of people that suffer from "dogmatic herd mentality" are the only set of people on planet earth that can describe Ojukwu's Usain Bolt Action as an act of bravery.
For more discerning and learned minds, it is an act of cowardice at its peak.
Ghandi was not the movement but he went to prison instead of his people.
Mandela was not the movement but he went to.prison instead of his people.
Martin Luther King Jnr was not the movement but he was killed rather than his people.
Mother Theresa was not the movement but he endured the hardship with her people.
Eternal Stupidity is making a coward your leader. Shikena End of discussion! Shikena! |

When will the Igbo learn from other Nigerians? When will they understand that first they are Igbo before becoming Nigerians? I am 100% certain that there is no indigenous Yoruba names like Chukwudi, Ifeanyi, Kelechi et al They can try to be like US (The Great Yoruba) but they can never be Yoruba. |

Could it be true that while ibos were been taken on by the Federal Forces, Ojukwu ran to Ivory Coast with his entire family members. The picture below was taken when Ojukwu with two of his children was in Ivory Coast. It was recorded that Ojukwu with his family members added more flesh during the war and also in Abidjan.
