after1: how can a thread amount to genocidei know you guys value e-fighter so much and are strong, brave and not cowards... but please I am not shouting genocide anything... I am simply saying thread duplication creates confusion.... the thread already exists. simple. read what I wrote, my friend. https://www.nairaland.com/2281928/photo-late-ojukwu-two-children |

[s] Remarkable:[/s] Hypocrite, so your cursed yhiebhoe brothers that open threads to instigate e-fights are what? It seems you guys have been cursed to always see white and call it black. Your kinsmen will open a thread to cause e-war, bigot like you will comment on it and hail them but when the Yorubas reply or retaliate then you all cry. The same Diya thread have been to the FP more than 4 times, so stop barking here and Bleep off if you have nothing to contribute here. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I also want say to people who call Ojukwu a coward to endeavour to read up on the Nigerian civil war. It's funny that a man who took on the might of the Nigerian Army,Britain,Russia and Egypt can be called a coward. They say that Ojukwu caused the deaths of millions of his people. Freedom does not come cheap. It is purchased in blood. We Igbos will forever respect and revere Ojukwu for leading us in our quest for emancipation from Nigeria. Millions died in the struggle for freedom not the struggle for Ojukwu. Ojukwu was merely the leader of a movement not the movement its self. A lot of people who suffer 'slave mentality' will not be able to understand that people are willing to give up their lives in other to be free. Ojukwu was a great hero. 3 Likes 1 Share |

zendy: A lot of people that suffer from "dogmatic herd mentality" are the only set of people on planet earth that can describe Ojukwu's Usain Bolt Action as an act of bravery. For more discerning and learned minds, it is an act of cowardice at its peak. Ghandi was not the movement but he went to prison instead of his people. Mandela was not the movement but he went to.prison instead of his people. Martin Luther King Jnr was not the movement but he was killed rather than his people. Mother Theresa was not the movement but he endured the hardship with her people. Eternal Stupidity is making a coward your leader. Shikena 5 Likes |

superstar1: How is Ojukwu a coward? For leaving 2 days before the war ended? I don't know why you are using Ghandi and Luther king as examples when they never led armed struggle like Ojukwu did. Ojukwu left Biafra 2 days before the war ended on the advice of his commanders that all hope was lost. If you call him a coward for not staying back to be killed over a war that already lost then you are indeed stupid. 1 Like |

EUROBOMBER: Just shut up already if you are too ashamed to condemn the cowardly ibo warmonger Ojukwu that killed 3 M of his own fellow ibos but hid his own family and sneaked them out too Abidjan after getting fat on the food and medication that Nigeria allowed into Biafra. Also, never write or mention Chief Awolowo in the same post with the coward Ojukwu because Chief Awolowo's leadership and ideas have always been a shining light in Nigeria and beyond so much so, that to his people; they are still in pole position since he was unveiled in Nigeria. It gets even better because their Amala & Ewedu Party is the same one doing ever so well and be left his people better than he met when he began to lead. Ojukwu on the other hand killed 3 M ibos within 2 years 6 months and 9 days and since his useless misadventure, no part of Nigeria will trust ibos with the presidency or VP and that might not change for another 1000 years, except the magnanimous Nigerians have pity on the people Ojukwu killed 3 M of. 1 Like |

madamoringo: The same way you think that Ojukwu was a warmonger and coward who led millions his people to their deaths is the same way that most Igbos think Awolowo was an embodiment of Yoruba cowardice and a war criminal who in his desperate bid to lead the Yoruba nation into slavery at the hands of the northern oligarchy took a plum job and used his office to starve and kill millions of people who wanted nothing other than their freedom. Both men are highly respected by their people and vilified by the opposing side. 1 Like |

zendy: ibos are the new slaves the Ijaw people recently acquired. Ijaws now lord over ibos just because an Ijaw man gave them small positions at the national level. Go to Abuja and see how your leaders are prostrating for the Ijaws. It is a regional shame to ibos. |

No one will rescue ibos from the Ijaws, may be Sen. Ngige and Gov. Okorocha will do something. Tell me one thing you have in common with Ijaw? |

chiefinalowo:. I wonder what you stand to gain by this lies? Ojukwu and his family is never poor. When Africans can hardly go to school,Odumegwu Ojukwu was among the first black Africans to go to the prestigeous OXFORD Universty and he used Rose Royce a car that is for the royals and super rich in the society. His Father was the first African Million in British pounds, the Queen rode in his car and danced with him.Apapa Wharf was constructed by his father and they have many landed properties in choices places of Lagos.OJUKWU was never poor and he never went to war for the sake of it.YOU never cared to say what and how the Civil War Started. Its only a caword that dies so many times before his dead. The people that went to war are not complianing why you?The Pogrom/genocide that went on in the northern nigeria before then you didn't hear or know about it.Ojukwu as the governor of Eastern region then have to negociate with the Central Govt, that was when ABURI ACCORD GHANA came up.The FG came back and reneged on the agreements that have been reached and Ojukwu hv no choice that to declare State of Biafra.Remember it was Ojukwu that released Awolowo from Calabar prison. Its the people of Eastern Region then that mandated Ojukwu to declare Biafra since they are no more wanted and no more safe in State of Nigeria. The core things that bedeviled/troubled Nigeria State then that was supposed to be resolved/sorted out then is unresolved and its still troubling the Nigeria of today.OJUKWU is a hero and will be hero forever. If He is not a Hero why discuss him,he remains the only man that was honoured in almost all the major cities of the world when he died.No African president will ever get such a heroic burial as we all saw when he was liad to rest.OP ask yourself can you ever reach or achieve 1/10 of his fame. Why did FG sieze their landed properties in Apapa,Ikoyi,IDDO and other places of Lagos and Nigeria. With 20pounds as the IBOs are still powering. And standing tall high above you bigot.PlS OP go back and read well for he who is not informed is deformed.God bless Biafra,God give eternal rest to our Hero DIM CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU.IKEMBA,EZEIGBO GBURUGBURU nodu nma. |
