When crude was trading at over $100 during the GEJ era, I stated on this forum that as long as a subsidy regime existed alongside importation of fuel, the cost of subsidizing petrol prices will continue to rise.

Buhari and his retinue of APC bandits however claimed that there was no subsidy regime in place and that the whole subsidy arrangement was a scam.

This same Buhari govt claimed to have removed subsidy that they said never existed in 2016 only for them to now claim they are actually subsidizing . Well they never used the word "subsidy" but rather" under recovery".

The increase in fuel prices in 2016 from #89 to #165 was not as a result of a removal of any subsidy but actually to reflect the devaluation of the naira. There was and still remains a subsidy regime but given that the likes of Buhari and Liar Mohammed claimed there wasn't any in the first place when they were in opposition but now they came out with a new term "under recovery " .

Now that crude is trading at $90 and is projected to increase to $150 later in the year, with a weaker naira that will see it trading between 900 to 1,000 a dollar the burden of "under recovery " has and will continue to skyrocket.

Can Buhari, Liar Mohammed , Thiefnibu , Fake pastor Osunbade and Judas Anaechi now agree that there is indeed a subsidy regime that is unsustainable and which will make any gains from high crude prices null?

In Nigerian politics, the number 1 rule when vying for office is to hold your chips until the very last minute before staking in. The real contenders are baiting the right moment to get into the ring. So far it is only the Gbana Ahmed of Alausa that has so far openly declared his intention to contest.
