NORTHERNS....
Without ESN fighting the army there would be no clash and poor Miss Nwaneri wouldn't have met her death in their hands.

How many more?

Bad govt has turned owerri to a caricature city where residents live in fear and anguish.
Poor Owerri. My dear Owerri cry

ESN must be totally flushed out of the SE. They are already using fear to keep the mouths of the concerned indigenes shut. This wasn't part of the deal.

They were supposed to only fight killer Fulani herdsmen, not killing innocent igbos and burning down our land. We must reject ESN before they completely burn down everywhere.

Afonjas are very very dangerous people. These people are the problem of this country. Always defending Fulani evil. In fact, the way they are attacking ESN/IPOB, you will think IPOB/ESN is at war with them
Keep shut IPOB propaganda has been busted.

Fulani Herdsmen terrorists are being arrested and jailed in their numbers by the Nigerian military and we have seen the evidence.

ESN are toast.

It takes intelligence to know that the Biafran civil War was way more than a territorial battle, it was more of a battle against oppression, in that light Ojukwu won, bcus we proved the point we set out to make.

We held and fought the oppressors and her league of world powers for 3 yrs.

That's a good fight.

stop tagging Ojukwu with anything that has to do with ipob, Ojukwu was the selfless leader of the Eastern region before the war, ipob is just a seccessionist sect like some others we have in Igboland.
Ojukwu declared the war.

He led the war.

When Defeat was staring in his face, he escaped to Ivory Coast taking his lovely Mercedes along, leaving millions he had misled to perish.

He later came back to declare support for Shehu Shagari, a Fulani man.

Then same Ojukwu ran to become President of the same united Nigeria he once declared war against; sacrificed millions of igbos in the process.

Does SELFLESS have a different definition in your dictionary? huh

One of the soldier(Airforce personel) killed was a friend of mine, an Igbo guy who was just posted to River state just last year.. Why should we be killing ourselves? Onyebuchi was such a beautiful soul, so unfortunate he lost his life in the east after several years in kainji, Niger state. I'm so heartbroken right now

Onyebuchi I'm going to miss you
Acceot my condolences. Cutting the nose to spite the face.

I agree more could have been done, but aren't projects like 2nd Niger bridge, federal road projects etc. part of Reconstruction?

Between GEJ and this administration, who has done/is doing more infrastructural projects in the SE? Tell yourself the truth.

We need peace to develop. Any war now will set any region several decades back.

Parasite. Stop your foolish blackmail. People have grown beyond your type of blackmail.

When political and religious leaders in the 12 northern sharia states adopted unconstitutional Islamic Sharia criminal justice system around 2001, and literally drew the borders of Arewa Islamic Sharia Republic, a BBC female Reporter asked Sani Yerima if he did not understand that his Sharia criminal justice system adopted by the 12 northern states could lead to break up of Nigeria.
You're confirming his statement.

At the end of the Biafra - Nigeria war in 1970, the Biafrans had the option to pivot towards a guerrilla warfare but were convinced not to do so after General Effiong reached sundry agreements with the Nigerian State.
Those agreements over the years have been thrown into the gutters by the federal government
Baba were you reading your history book upside down? Which option? Which "sundry agreements" undecided grin

Link to Gen. Effiong's Full Biafra Surrender speech after Ojukwu fled:
https://africandocs.com/philip-effiong-announces-surrender-of-biafra/

"I take this opportunity to congratulate officers and men of our Armed Forces for their gallantry and bravery which have earned for them the admirations of the whole world. I thank the civil population for their steadfastness and courage in the face of overwhelming odds and starvation. I am convinced that the suffering of our people must be brought to an immediate end. Our people are now disillusioned, and those elements of the old government regime who have made negotiations and reconciliation impossible have voluntarily removed themselves from our midst.

I have, therefore, instructed an orderly disengagement of troops. I am despatching emissaries to make contact with Nigeria’s field commanders in places like Onitsha, Owerri, Awka, Enugu, and Calabar with a view to arranging armistice. I urge on General Gowon, in the name of humanity, to order his troops to pause while an armistice is negotiated in order to avoid the mass suffering caused by the movement of population.

We have always believed that our differences with Nigeria should be settled by peaceful negotiations. A delegation of our people is therefore ready to meet representatives of Nigeria Federal Government anywhere to negotiate a peace settlement on the basis of OAU resolutions."

NiceMen:
which terrorist? They said they don't want to be part of Nigeria... Is it by force?
Indeed they are terrorists by every defiition of the word.

If they think they have the force to break out through violence, then the Army, Navy, Airforce, DSS etc. are available to do their jobs.

No insurgency has ever, and will ever have the capacity to overwhelm Nigeria. Whether Maitatsine, Ombatse, IPOB, Herdsmen, Bandits or whatever. Even Boko Haram with their massive resources & links to ISIS have been struggling to overwhelm us for the past 11 years yet have been succesfully contained in 1 or 2 states in the region they are based.

Embrace the only peaceful & lawful means to Biafra which is through elected reps in NA. If you don't trust the current ones, ensure the right ones are put in come 2023. Otherwise my brother anything else that includes violent force will be met by the Military's regular trademark. we don't want the east to be the next South Sudan.
PoliticsRe: Ikonso: Nnamdi Kanu And The End Of ESN by Chigboboss:
Well unfortunately they do not have the capacity to use violent force to achieve their freedom. It was attempted 50 years ago (with better preparation & allies) and failed. Secession is only gotten peacefully & lawfully through our duly elected representatives.

But they obviously think they are capable like Late Dim Ojukwu did at first before later repenting & pledging allegiance to Nigeria after millions killed, so here we are.

What was previously bad in the SE will end up worse. Imagine what would happen to the multi billion naira hospitality industry in Imo if this violence is sustained. You think anyone can go to the markets with the sound of bomb-laden fighter jets over their heads?

It is profitable to be wise.

ThisCouldBeUs:
They have been making thier intentions known for a very long time. Let them go. No sector in Nigeria can be boast of. If thier governor is part of people sabotaging thier route to freedom, you go ahead and crush. No empathy for anyone who doesn't want my freedom.

No wonder some say we are our worst enemies, Tufia.

Did you even spare a thought for the innocent women and children you are putting at risk? The innocent young men that will be picked up in raids against "unknown gunmen"?

Just like Late Dim Ojukwu did at first before later repenting & pledging allegiance to Nigeria after millions killed despite being better prepared with foreign allies, some of us still think ragtag ESN can use force to overwhelm Nigeria because we now have smartphones. Lol.

What was previously bad in the SE will end up worse. Imagine what would happen to the multi billion naira hospitality industry in Imo if this violence is sustained. You think anyone can go to the markets with the sound of bomb-laden fighter jets over their heads?

Hearken to the wise counsel of Biafran General Phillip Effiong upon surrendering to Nigeria after Nnamdi Kanu Ojukwu fled:

"I take this opportunity to congratulate officers and men of our Armed Forces for their gallantry and bravery which have earned for them the admirations of the whole world. I thank the civil population for their steadfastness and courage in the face of overwhelming odds and starvation. I am convinced that the suffering of our people must be brought to an immediate end.
