Politics / Re: CCTV Footage Of Sowore's Arrest By DSS by chijiokeke: 1:45pm On Aug 05, 2019
I'm impressed by the conduct of the security team, regardless of the fact that Sowore has his rights.
however, it is not advised to confront security operatives like the guy in white shorts did. He may not have been that lucky with SARS.

Politics / Re: Revolution Now: Northern Group Pulls Out, Says Action Sponsored By Foreigners by chijiokeke: 11:21am On Aug 05, 2019
This is good. I think everyone should be wise in dealing with the proponents of this "revolution."

Idokojimmy:
The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) on Sunday said it has pulled out of Monday’s revolution now protest planned by Omoyele Sowore, who is now in detention. The spokesperson of CNG, Malam Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, in a statement issued in Kaduna said organizers of the protest were being sponsored by foreigners as part of a destabilisation plot against Nigeria.

“After carefully reviewing the calls, the CNG has inadvertently arrived at the following conclusions. That the ultimate aim of the proponents of the march who are at best couriers of a foreign destabilization plot has not been clearly and satisfactorily defined, which renders the whole exercise suspect. The CNG remains unshakable in its understanding that every civil disagreement can be resolved through honest, sincere and open discussions without unnecessary recourse to actions liable to further inflame tensions without achieving lasting results.

“CNG is not disposed to participating in, supporting, encouraging or in any way promoting actions that are potentially violent, sponsored by obscure organizations with suspicious motives.

“We have failed to see how the interest of, particularly the northern people, can be served by a movement led by those who have been directly or remotely connected to the decades-old agenda for the emasculation of the North.

“The CNG calls on all northerners to disregard the calls and resist the temptation of being dragged into participating in any way, in a movement that would turn out to the disadvantage of the region.

“While the CNG categorically dissociates itself from the organization, promotion and participation in any conduct capable of worsening the already dicey situation the country, in particular, the North, is in today.

“We reassert our commitment to the propagation and protection of the rights of all northerners and never to fall into the traps set by its traditional internal and external traducers in whatever guise.

“We are quite aware of the covert and overt machinations of some western supremacists to achieve the final destabilization of Africa by targeting some key African nations which may not exclude Nigeria. The similar foreign agenda that unfolded with the ugly scenarios of destruction in Libya, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Egypt and others are very fresh for us to realize the futility of jumping on a flight without knowing its actual destination,” the coalition said.

Politics / Re: Obasanjo's Claim Of Fulanization, A Definition Of His Failed Leadership by chijiokeke: 10:51am On May 31, 2019
There are somethings that should be discussed among men...the habit of always running to the press is not good for us as a nation.

Idokojimmy:
The recent accusation of Fulanisation and Islamisation by former President, Rtd. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo on the current administration is a shame and outright show of failed leadership by the former President. Obasanjo claimed that Boko Haram insurgency emanated from lack of education and lack of employment in the country which has led to a West African Fulanisation, Islamisation and global organized crimes ranging from human trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, illegal mining among others.

OBJ suddenly forgot that Boko Haram Insurgency started in 2002, three (3) years after he assumed mantle of leadership in this country. Even if we are to pardon him for allowing this insurgent group to evolve, he carelessly watched the group gain more prominence during his remaining four (4) years tenure.

One begins to wonder why he failed to contain or address the issue. Perhaps the former President had envisaged that the terrorist group would become a franchise in future. He hugely benefited from it through numerous outrageous unaccounted budgetary allocations made for the menace which he birthed at the expense of future generations.

Obasanjo under the PDP regime obviously cared less about security of the citizens, rather, he focused on how to build businesses and brands that will make him wealthy even after he is long gone from the seat. No wonder, Obasanjo who record has it that at the time of release from prison had just a total sum of twenty-five thousand naira (#25, 000) in his bank account, now generates millions of naira from his farms on a daily basis while t Nigerians are struggling to make ends meet.

Obasanjo is a colossal failure, and has no business addressing the current administration on security issues and governance in general because he failed during his own time, folding his arms while issues evolved and degenerated. The old man is now busy playing politics because he wants to remain relevant.

How I wish Nigerians will stop being gullible and pay deaf ears to politicians who only care about themselves and no one else. This minute they are promising heaven on earth and making their political rivals look like they haven’t done anything right, and when the table turns, the same people will forget the heaven on earth as promised.

I hope Nigerians will wake up and take their destinies in their own hands and stop hoping on men like Obasanjo who seek to divide and destroy the gullible. There are many Nigerians making us proud within and outside the shores of the country. Individuals like Chimamanda Adiche who recently bagged two honorary degrees in less than one week among others deserve this energies and attention we pay to retired politicians like Obasanjo, lets refocus our attention on making Nigeria and Nigerians better.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Emefiele: Buhari Disappoints Critics, Gives A Glimpse Of Next Level Agenda by chijiokeke: 11:34am On May 14, 2019
Emefiele for the Mullah! Baba stood by what he believed in. It paid off eventually.
Idokojimmy:
Few days ago, President Buhari approved the reappointment of the CBN Governor, Godwin Emiefele by forwarding his name to the senate for confirmation.

Prior to this, the media was replete with reports that Buhari had handpicked a northern Muslim to replace Emiefele. These reports re-echoed known baseless rhetoric that Buhari is irreparably clannish and to say the least nepotic. The purveyors of these narratives also warned that Nigerians, particularly those of southern extraction would suffer tremendous neglect in Buhari's second term. Proponents of these malicious propaganda include former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Fani-Kayode, Reno Omokri, Buba Galadima, Atiku, Nnamdi Kanu, Fayose and the PDP in general.

These had forced agitated socio-cultural organizations in the South to issue unwarranted statements calling for caution as well as making outrageous demands for political positions in a manner unknown to law.

Alas, President Buhari in his usual character shamed them again. He reappointed a southerner to head an institution that is central to the economy of the country, despite having in his pool, numerous northerners with better qualifications and track records. He demonstrated that he is a listening President who is willing to exploit this second opportunity to reunite the country and concentrate on building a lasting legacy.
Apart from Emiefele, Buhari has also appointed another Southerner, Abike Dabiri to Chair the Diaspora Commission.

Reno Omokri and the Governor of Delta State have already showered Buhari with praises, we hope that others would recognize this and follow suit. Buhari has merely given us a glimpse of his next level agenda, it's a dawn of a new era.

Nigeria must move forward, corrupt politicians seeking to drag us behind by constituting a clog in the wheel of progress should be ready to be grounded by the moving train, destined to stop only at 'Next Level Station'.

Politics / Re: Atiku Abuabkar: The Presidential Candidate Abandoned By His People by chijiokeke: 11:33am On May 14, 2019
I'm not surprised, Politicians will never change tactics; everyone is probable making secret moves to benefit from the new administrative set up of PMB. Atiku will be fine!!!
Israelmossaic:
It is not farfetched from the observations of political spectators the way and manner bigwigs and gladiators in the political arena of this country, especially the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are docile if not dormant despite the fact that, their flag-bearer is in legal struggle for his lost presidential bid.

As expected, Governors, National Assembly members and party officials of the PDP are to be seen relentlessly, building-up forces with Atiku in his quest to muscle power from the incumbent President.

However, except Kola Ologbondiyan, the Party's spokesman, all other mouthpieces have deserted the struggle. Can anyone recall when last the likes of Uche Secondus, Ayodele Peter Fayose, Buba Galadima and Dino Melaye, to mention but a few spoke or released statements in support of Atiku's pursuit at the Election Petition Tribunal? To say the least, none of them in recent times have come out on either print or electronic media to show support for Atiku.
Also, insinuations continue to trend among average Nigerians that, bigwigs in the PDP are certain that the evidences presented by their party at the Tribunal are insignificant and cannot stand the weight of justice. Hence, the withdrawal by most of the PDP gladiators who had hitherto expressed open support for Atiku’s presidential quest.

Currently, the question agitating the minds of many Nigerians is whether Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been abandoned by the PDP ? or he is a one man squad prosecuting his battle alone?

Politics / Re: The Transformation Of Nnamdi Kanu To A porn Star By Frank Eze by chijiokeke: 4:29pm On May 02, 2019
Idokojimmy:
Two weeks ago when the video of MaziNnamdiKanu and wife leaked online, I was one of the few who defended him. After all, it was with his wife. However, I was shocked when the man at the centre of the controversy proudly declared that he would produce more of such videos. Like my late grandfather would say “when a man and woman enter a room and close the door, they do so not for secrecy, but for decency, because the onlookers already know what they are doing inside”.

But a man who parades himself as a leader, Kanu should have displayed the minimum degree of decency by keeping his intimate affairs with his wife private. And to declare his desire to produce more of such video, should remove the veil from anyone who hitherto believed this scam.
It is now obvious that Kanu simply hid under the guise of Biafra agitation for self-enrichment and to fund his amorous lifestyle. We are not ignorant of the funding Kanu receives from local and international group to support his course, it is obvious he has been putting them into good use in his new found career as a porn star.

I am glad that Ndigbo did not allow ourselves to be deceived into boycotting the general election, but rose and voted our conscience. It should now be clear that Kanu is not one to be taken seriously.

Even his former allies and comrade AsariDokubo, appears to have awaken from the hypnosis of the so called Biafra movement. Just recently, Dokubo revealed that Kanu had ordered the assassination of Prophet Anthony.Dokubo said, “It is very sad that our struggle has come to the stage when the IPOB and its leadership under NnamdiKanu will order the assassination of afellow “Biafran” who disagrees with them on the modalities of achieving our independence as a nation.” He described Kanu as “an opportunist who has come to cash on the painful struggle and sacrifices that others have made.”

If there was any doubt about the real intention of NnamdiKanu, Dokubo’s statement should clear it; Kanu is simply what he is; “an opportunist”.
If we the Igbos, who pride ourselves as highly educated people, should continue to tolerate this clown, then we would be giving him a license to ridicule the entire Ndigbo and project us as an unserious lot. The time to put a stop to this disgrace called NamdiKanu is now.

Nnamdi Kanu is a Fraud, only the very gullible ones approve of his tactics. As an Igbo person, I believe there are better ways to go about it.

Politics / Re: The Truth About The 2019 Presidential Election Results: My Take- Naanlang Dungs by chijiokeke: 4:19pm On May 02, 2019
PrettyRita:
I am compelled to confess the truth on whether Alhaji Abubakar Atiku really won the 2019 General Elections or not. I have been a strong and active member of our great party- the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with passion for peace, stability and development of Nigeria. I want to state unequivocally that, Atiku lost the last 2019 Presidential election in favor of President Muhammadu Buhari.

For those who are old enough please recall that, since the return to democracy in 1999, our party (PDP) retained most of its elective positions (without apology) through rigging and imposition. For the sake of historical analysis, lets ponder over the election results of 2003, 2011, 2015 and 2019. Without the influence of the power of incumbency, Buhari was able to garner the following results.

YEAR POLITICAL PARTY CANDIDATE VOTES
2003 ANPP M. BUHARI 12, 710, 022

2007 ANPP " " 6, 605, 299

2011 CPC " " 12, 214, 853

2015 APC " " 15, 424, 853

2019 APC " " 15, 191, 847

Related to the above, in 2007 when Alhaji Atiku Abubakar contested under the platform of the Action Alliance (AC) with the late president Umaru 'Yar Adua; the anointed candidate of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, our party as you all know, is good in muzzling oppositions. We shamelessly allocated only 2,637,848 votes to Atiku. However, because Buhari believes in decent politics, in 2019, our candidate had level playing ground leading to his score of 11,262,978 votes.

Despite being the incumbent president, Buhari's vote dropped by 233,006 against his 2015 votes while Atiku's votes when compared to his last election in 2007 just got jacked-up by 8,625,130. This is evident that the election was substantially, credible.

Having said this, I urged all sensible persons who have the interest of this country to have a second thought by viewing elections beyond parochial and primordial sentiments.

Naanlang Dungs , a PDP supporter writes this piece from Riyom in Plateau state

I don't believe Atiku lost the election. Buhari and his minions stole the people's mandate. However, I feel Atiku should not tow the line of violence, should the litigation outcome not favor him.

We really need to come together as a people to address our collective issues. After all, an Igbo adage says "Anyuko amiri, ogbaa ofufu." The earlier we put an end to this division within the south east, the better for us all. Ike gwuru...
