Yaris 08 comes with a very reliable 2nz engine still used in the 2014 model.

The vehicle should cost between 700-900 depending on how clean it might even get above 1m.

There's a reason toyotas are expensive.

Absolutely No.If a dealer tells you he has such for that price,send me the Vin/Chassis number.You will see that he is selling u a bad car.
I tell lots of Nigerians that it is better you save to buy a car that u wont have to vist the mechanic all the time.You will have peace of mind.If you wanna buy a naija used car,pls 2 things are very important.

1. What was the status of the car before the person selling it bou4tht it?

2. Where does the current user live or ever lived and the routes he drives the car.Wear and tear are real problems.

8 out of 10 tokunbo cars are accidented,flooded or even worse.Who can contest this?

I am telling you from live examples.

Pls save good money and buy quality car.
U cant go wrong with a toyota.
All those kia,hyundai etc are best as brandnew.

Hi Guys and car gurus in the house, I urgently need your advice on buying my first car. I have a budget of 700-800K and wish to buy preferably a tokunbo car or a very well maintained Nigerian Used car. I need the car for my daily movement, mostly to work and travelling once in a while.
Please advice on cars with very low maintenance cost and fuel efficiency, as a first time car user, I will also fancy less visit to the mechanic or electrician aside routine maintenance.

I have outlined the following cars but my options are not limited to these only, please add others

1. Honda Civic 2006-2008
2. Toyota Corolla 2004 (preferably the sport)
3. Mazda 3 or 6
4. Toyota Camry (drop light or big daddy)
5. Nissan Primera 2007
6. Hyundai Elantra 2007

Kindly provide your review on these cars based on experience or other better options.

i just saw someone post that he invested 100k for 91days and received 524.82 and he said the interest is low. the problem with some of us is that we don't read or like to read. i don't know about some of us but if you ask me I'll say its not adviceable to tie 100k for 3 months expecting N500. we have little business out there that can pay you real good with as low as 10k. treasury bill is for big fund and you will always enjoy NTB with huge fund not N10,000 or N100,000. Beginners should Read books on financial intelligence to enable them grow financially and you can always read through the thread if you are free to enable you be ahead of some of us in this thread it will pay you real good.

Someone also asked if treasury bill its safe or risk free and the answer is YES (but if there is a civil war then your principal will be refunded after the war but have no fear for now ).

I've tried severally to invest on Tbills but my bank (Ecobank and Fidelity) keeps giving me reasons not to and insisted that I consistently did Fixed Deposit which very low interest rates that are still being taxed.

I have a few questions please

1. I intend investing 350K but the bank says its small for doing Tbills and I need to have upto 1M to do Tbills. What is the minimum amount required??

2. Are there any preferred banks to invest with?

3. When is the next auction date and how do I participate?

mactao: A little piece of advice to everyone: try out your work route before your first day at work. Wake up early and go to your office as you would normally on a work day. You might be surprised at how annoyingly unpredictable buses and traffic might be.
