@justwise, pls I need ur response on dis... I just got admission in Estonia to study MA International Relations at one of the univeristies but there is no Estonia embassy in Nigeria. I'm aware there is Estonia embassy in London... I am thinking of applying for my study permit at Estonia embassy in London since dey don't have embassy in Nigeria and my elder brother is my sponsor... Do u think I stand a chance of getting d visa as I don't hav my personal statement of account?

You are not paying anything to the Security man, It is just your documents that he will collect. You will pay Visa fee on the date of your appointment.

@ OP, I tried applying for Indian Visa last year and created a post about it here.
The solution is that you need to go to the Consulate in Lagos or Embassy in Abuja on any working day with your application form duly filled and printed out ( forget that there is no appointment date on it ). Attach your two passport on it.
When there, you will wait outside until all applicants with appointment date have been attended to, then the security will come out and ask for forms of those without appointment date, he will take it in and they ( Embassy officials )will screen it and if you papers are in order, they will give you appointment date and sign it. With that you need not pay any tout for Appointment date.

And when the online portal starts working you will not be able to get appointment date...

The only way I know is to bribe the embassy staff.. I am waiting for people to give more decent opinions

Expensivestevie, tanx for ur response. Esti uni had actually confirmed receipt of my documents nd l was informed dey have been sent to ENIC/NARIC for evaluation. It is over a week nw but l av nt heard from esti uni... I am just worried because it is taking time... Tanx once more!

Ibe, europestudy2015 is very right wit his analysis. U can enta estonia as a masters student wit a shengae visa nd apply for ur PR in estonia but if u are going for an undergraduate program, u must apply for visa nd PR at estonian embassy bef u enta estonia nd dats y it is more easier for masters students...
